@Matt Thomas honestly, since I had to balance work, the course + life it took me 9 months but that was because I wasn’t doing it every day and took a few breaks 😬

@Pitol In Motion you did it again!😊😊 Thanks a lot for the breakdown ❤❤❤. Do you think getting a certificate in scrum is worth it? How Boutique six sigma? I learned all those on the coursera course, six sigma, lean sigma, scrum and so much more. When I get a job after completing the course my ultimate goal is to become Technical Program manager and later Product Manager. I was contemplating Scrum but was wondering if it were necessary.

@@pitolinmotion I completed prince 2 foundation and Change Management Foundation. Im studying for the BCS business analysis foundation exam which i hope to pass this week. I have worked on 2 projects and have about 8 months total experience thought at the lower levels of the project. I'm applying for jobs right now, wish me luck! Do you do cv reviews?

I am about to start my project management journey, hope god makes it easy for me :)
I am in the process of taking the PM certification course with PMI and it’s different to follow. There is so much information to cover in such a short time it’s overwhelming. But I really enjoyed watching some of the Google PM videos. I love that you can do it at your own pace. I rather study at my own pace to make sure that I understand before moving on to the next chapter.
I am going to sign up for the google course after this course is over.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge about Google PM courses. I know it will be better for me to understand the role of a PM rather than rush through the PMI course just for the exam.

Hey, never done the Capm so wouldn’t know. It is a good all rounder course for beginners to get their knowledge up about project management in corporate environments

This was right on time! I have been going back and forth with the Google cert but think it’s the right fit before taking CAPM. Do you agree with some that say the Google PM course is better than the PMI course for CAPM prep?
Hey lovely ! Honestly I can’t say cos I haven’t seen the PMI course for CAPM prep. Maybe it’s one I should check out next and do a comparison 🤷🏾♀️What I will say is I think the google course is very comprehensive. Like I don’t see what else they could put in that CAPM course that isn’t in the google one 😅 all the basics and they some are there. I could be wrong 🤷🏾♀️ maybe the teaching style is difference . But that’s what a trial is for right ? If you don’t like it , cancel that subscription girl ! 👀

I am doing this certificate at the moment. Does anyone have experience with employers or is an employer, and what are their thoughts on entry-level PM roles with this certificate?
Would the next step be to go after the CAPM certificate after completing the Google PM certificate?

Hey, congrats on your new role. And tbh I don’t think there is any book as such. PM isn’t a science, it’s an art, so not really books on how to do it

God is just flowing all around 😅 so tbf it really depends on what your long term Goals are and what country you’re in. If you’re in the US and wish to be a PM professional in the future or PMP then it may be a good move. In the UK tbf less necessary in my opinion . If you manage to get a PM role soon, and you’re ambitious and can learn a lot on the go, I’d say just skip straight to PMP! But not everyone has the confidence to do that. So sorry this is a long answer. But it really does depend on lots of factors

I listened to the entire review, loved it, until there was a quick wording at end that it was sponsor by Coursera so I went back on the video and noticed at 2:43 - the same wording but no verbal mention by the TH-camr that this was a paid advertising or sponsorship.
Hey at the beginning of the video when you play, there is a pop up by TH-cam that this is sponsored content :) this being said. I wouldn’t advertise a brand I didn’t believe in also. But best for you to try it for yourself. They have a 7day free trial. If you don’t like it then no harm !

Hey there ! Thank you 🤗🤗🤗 it is possible that google have increased their prices since I put out this video . That seems to be the case
I've applied to 450 jobs over the last 6 months. Professionally written resume. PMP cerification. Seven years experience. Former hirimg manager that is polished and prepped for each interview. All of that said, I have only had two screening calls, neither of which lead to an interview. I also had two 1st round interviews which did not lead to any additional rounds. Here I sit. This market is garbage and the hiring process is broken. I am giving up and going to look for something else, because I can't afford this specific job search anymore.
Hey there! Sorry that you’ve found this job search difficult. You are right it is hard out there fr. But ppl are getting roles. Just this week one of my subs dm’d me that my vids helped her get a pm role. Make sure you are applying to appropriate roles for your level of formal pm experience. If you really want it, dig deeper to understand why you may be currently unsuccessfully . I wish you the very best !

Is this google certificate recognised by companies? Or is it still worth doing Prince2 foundation?
I believe it is, however some companies prefer some of the more traditions certs, so really it depends on where you are applying to , try to check the ad description for roles you are interested in, it usually says what they are looking for . This also differs from industry to industry and country to country

Hey, that question is so open, I guess you mean if you can transition; and I would say depending on how well you can translate your skills to pm
My company kinda tricked me into taking a new role which is not officially project management, but it totally is... and I kinda don't like it... But good luck if you want to work it it!

Some people have, depending on how well you can sell yourself for the role, and online? Meaning remote ? Yes, however roles are more hybrid

For what? To do the google pm course ? - if so then you don’t need any prerequisites
@@pitolinmotion i would say to become a PM in general? And are you familiar with the PMI basic course? And how does it compare to the Google version.
Oh if you are in US I believe a degree is preferred but not essential. You’ll need to start in an entry level project management role then work yourself up to a project manager I reckon. And I assume you’re talking about capm, if so I haven’t done it, so I can’t say sorry

I can’t say, as I’ve never done the uni degree in project management . I would tbh say no. One is a degree one is a certificate. Personally if you already have an undergrad I would just do the certificate
