  • *****IMPORTANT UPDATES******
1-) The airport in the video (Ataturk Airport) is closed now. Most planes to Istanbul land in the new "Istanbul Airport", which is not connected to the city (yet) by tram or metro. However there are shuttle buses - the schedules are here: www.hava.ist/tr
A taxi from the airport to Taksim or Sultanahmet costs about 440 TL.
    Check fares here : havalimaniulasim.com
2-) It is now free to enter Hagia Sophia as it no longer serves as a museum but a mosque. This also means that you have to follow the norms when you normally visit other places of worship like covering your hair (if you are a woman) etc.
3-) The government now controls all movement in the country and access to all facilities like restaurants, museums etc. by a code called HES. At the moment, this code is available for everyone, being dependent on a negative COVID PCR test result required upon entry to the country.

You are VERY good. Clear, informative, use of the maps, routes and times to show where you went and transport options, costs ( ie from airport) absolutely spot on. Currently considering Istanbul as a drop off point on my way to Japan and will now seriously consider now going to Istanbul.

Min. 6.10 where she is standing overlooks the Bosphorus Straits is called the Golden Horn and it is not difficult to realize why it is called that and why the empirors of times past chose to build their palaces there. The view is breathtaking and charming. Standing there for the first time I felt I was litrally charmed and out of present time with the majesty, beauty, awsomeness and the greatness of the past. I have been on top of Empire State Building in New York before, I have been inside the Statue of Liberty but was not awed as was by the view from the edge of the Golden Horn and Asia.

@@safuwanfauzi5014 Unfortunately, its literally heart -breaking when we compare Pakistan with Turkey ...Now a days there is so much trash ,smoke and plastic in roads that sometimes I feel that the trash is not in city but the city is in trash.......And yes we had more old city ,fort and palaces...There is Indus Valley Civilizations 5000 years old....Some of the cities are so old like Walled City in Lahore that they seemed to be living museum....We had 2nd largest mountain in the world(K-2)....meeting point of three high peaks....
But no tourists.....Even the local tourists are very less...And this is because of many reasons like corruption , fraud , lack of education ..the list is too long to discuss.....

They do not discriminate based on religion, language or race. They say that he who eats and sleeps when his neighbor is hungry is not one of us.
