Absolutely Montana hunters keep they're stomping grounds close to the chest! Just moved to Montana and would love to know where this is - Saw some herd bulls this year but they were in elk beyond anything you could imagine!👍
Man is it tough learning completely by yourself. Absolutely nobody to help me except podcasts and youtube. If I somehow make it happen this season... I think it will be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.

Recently got into archery. I live alone in interior Alaska, and always wanted to become a hunter but mental health issues have kept me fearing ever having a gun around me. A few weeks ago I finally decided to go into my local bow shop and had them set me up with a bow, a release and some arrows, and a couple accessories for my bow (sight, rest, and quiver). Bought myself a foam target and started shooting in my yard. First at 10 feet, then 10 yard, then 20, now 40 (running out of space now)… and I AM ADDICTED!!! Shooting hundreds of arrows a day since I got my bow, improving with every repetition, and loving every moment. Shooting my bow brings a calmness about me that I haven’t felt in many years. Looking forward to my first hunt next Fall. 🙂

As someone who bought a bow back in January. Trying to spot and stalk mule deer has proven extremely challenging. Never feel like I’m able to get in range with a good shot opportunity. So I feel this. Ha

Got to love whitetail hunters coming out west and shooting 80+ at elk 🤣 doesn’t matter how good of a shot is too many variables can affect it. If you aren’t good enough to get close in under 40 then stay sitting in a tree stand
This goes for most people, but I wouldn't put a life long archer, bow hunter, and ex tournament shooter in that list
@@Mooskellunge doesn’t matter how good of a shot you are, at that distance so many variables can change after the arrow is released. Not a person in the world can calculate some of the stuff that can happen shooting that far

I’ve watched this video numerous times and it never fails to get my emotions going! It’s crazy seeing a beautiful shot like that and knowing you’ve got meat in the freezer without a doubt in your mind. I absolutely love to see it and will no matter how old this video is. Amazing stuff out there!

No offense. Great area for sure over there, but my god, that non stop backround music is so friggin annoying. I’m an old school MT archery guy and I’ve never jammed to music while I elk hunt, so still don’t quite understand why 13,000,000 different TH-cam elk hunters have to add music to an elk hunt

My first (hunt) encounter ever with an elk was in 2005 and my cousin took me, the first night we got a giant coming in just screaming and my cousin says "he's coming, go up 75 yards and get ready".... Me sounding very stupid says "then what do I do?".... My Cousin laughing says "well shoot the damn thing"!!!! It took us a few more years but we were together when I shot my first bull and it was a 340" giant! What an awesome bull, experience, and video! Congrats!!!!

I’ve never heard of you. It looks like you have quite a few followers! Congratulations on one hell of a bull and a following! I helped Robert Arrington start the channel “Deer Meat for Dinner!” I’ve been hunting elk for over 30 years with a bow, and have killed a LOT of elk! If you’re willing to accept any advice, it would be to stay quiet, and most importantly stay still! You guys got lucky! I know it’s easy to Monday morning quarterback and you smoked him, so it doesn’t matter now, but I’ve had tons of elk pick me off from a slight movement! If he’s coming in and you’re about to get a shot, already have that elbow up so you just have to pull straight back!! You want to be a statue as they’re usually coming in scanning the scene looking for another elk!! Once again, great shot, hell of a bull, and only trying to help, not criticize!!! Good luck in the future! My guess would have been 330ish as well! What did he tape out at?

To be brutally honest with you and myself,, I don't think I would have taken that shot and I hunt with a crossbow,, And I'm a great shot,, All cool points would have left my body,, OK new bucket list after a hog or 3 or 12,, lol,, I'm going to seriously consider an elk hunt!!!

Unfortunately here in WA I don’t get excited when I see bulls like this because I can’t legally shoot them. Getting drawn for a tag is hard enough as it is but our fish and game department is run by Seattle pretty much so every “conservation” initiative is just because of anti-hunters

Taking an 80 yard shot at something with a heartbeat shows your lack of ethics and desperation for content, most of your viewers are kids, think about that and the message you’re sending to them. What stabilizers are you running and what size are they? I know what works for you may not work for me and vice versa but I'm new to archery hunting and I'm tinkering with my bow to see what feels good for me. Just curious on the sizes of yours though and if you can share the weight you are running on each. Thanks I've learned a lot from you!
Need to get out to AZ to hunt some of the best and biggest elk ever. Hit up A3 trophy. They are some of the best guiding hunting in the area. I know you may not need a guided hunt. But it doesn’t hurt to hit up the people that know the area very well. With the following you have I’m sure they would love to help out.

You guys are way to loud after shooting a bull, acting like that is gonna bite you in the ass one day. Worst thing you can do is think you made a good shot and start screaming. Especially if your shooting 83 yards??? Bulls gonna run for miles and you will never find him.
