If the filter is paper type, you are not supposed to clean it with water, only dry clean with a soft brush and some compressed air from the outside to inside. If it's very dirty you must replace it. The filter looks good now after cleaning but the paper is full of dirt inside, you can see this only at microscope.

Yes, it may clean. But some kind of viscous oil is used for air filter to prevent the dust to go inside. You need to spray some oil. And if any dust remains in inner side it may go to engine.

Do not clean air filter.. it makes the air pores big and allows dust inside ur engine.. just pay 400 for new air filter and protect ur engine long term.. dont save 400 and spend 4000 on engine isues on long term...

DO NOT clean the air filter with brushes or compressed air or high pressure water because this is gonna ruin the micro "holes" and block air entrance or allow dirt to enter , just use any good cleaning stuff and let it soak in there for a few hours
