Loving that Unity is getting more time in the sun in general. It's writing might hold it back but it's gameplay and narrative concepts are arguably some of the best in the series.
That scene is imprinted in my mind. One of the coolest moments in AC. I liked the dark medieval aspect of it. It would be a nice prequel concept to Unity.
It would have been cool to play as Thomas in different points of his life through sections that would be unlocked in Unity, like with the different regions and time periods we went through as we progressed through Unity's story.
The AC Community must collectively ask ubisoft to create a sequel to unity, with exact game mechanics, stealth, etc. Literally the same game with a continuation story.
Gotta say after altair his robes is beyond good Like a black version of altair (good for night missions) but also have some paddings for extra armor and still kept the look of the robes of the creed and have to say some pattern on his robes just add more to the drip
I hate his uniform purely because i had to do the last puzzle thing in his crypt and couldnt figure it out because the parkour was so janky i got so mad i broke my controller. ( I was also having a really bad day already and i just wanted to finish the game.) And when i switched my controller i got it immediately. I was pissed
Should be a game about him… I don’t think any of us would mind France in the 1200-1400s… templars still had that crusader look (which is in my opinion the BEST)
I was just Showing my boy , this mission - he never experienced an assassins creed , so when he was playing as the Templar he was impressed by this Hooded dude when he hopped out the haystack , after you jump out the castle in the beginning. He was like “ Is He an ASSASSIN?!” For him Thomas is his first assasin aside from Arno .
I haven't played Unity since it came out, and I don't even remember this guy. That being said, I think it would be awesome to see a game with him as the main protagonist. He sounds like he was far more impressive that some of the protagonists we've had since Unity.
His backstory should be whilst he was a banker he was ambushed by a knight errant (which is a rouge knight) and then he is saved by an assassin Thomas helps in the battle the assassin tells Thomas he was going to cash in a check for money but then had to help after this Thomas asks him who he is the assassin introduces himself and then the assassin tells him about the creed and then Thomas joins as he had shown his worthiness and after some training earns his hidden blade
Btw the templars had invented the earliest known banking and would write checks to merchants trying to travel so and when they reached their destination they would go to a Templar bank thing and then would receive the amount given on the piece of paper
This is still my favorite, most intriguing intro, and they've done nothing with it since. In general I'd personally love another large city Assassins Creed with baked lighting that pushed the visuals, presentation, and parkour like Unity did.
His involvement in the 1307 trials genuinely need to he explored. I've been trying to write a story/fanfic about the 13th Century French assassins and the lead up to the trials, but i feel like Ubisoft themselves NEED to officially tell his story.
The High Middle Ages is one of the greatest time periods for an Assassin's Creed title in my opinion, and the number of historical figures and events that would take place shortly after the downfall of the Templars, would have been perfect to explore in a full-fledged game. I've imagined that Ubisoft could make a full game out of this, if not a Trilogy like they did with Ezio, and given ( from what I've seen at least ) how the High Middle Ages is a time period many fans of the franchise want to see, it has a great deal of potential, especially with the inclusion of historical characters, like King Philip IV, who was known for his tyrannical rule, and being honest, seems to be the complete opposite of what the Assassin Brotherhood stands for, as well as Marco Polo as you mentioned, and Domenico Auditore, as he was the founder of the Auditore family. Another thought could have been playing in the High Middle Ages, after the Death of Jacque de Molay, most notably in Portugal, from the Templar Perspective... ( Because while I did like Rogue, I thought it did not perfect the concept of following the Templar ideology ) ...as while the remnants of the Templars were hunted down and eradicated across Europe, King Denis of Portugal, had refused any words from Philip regarding the Templars, and notably welcomed them to Portugal and reformed them as the Military Order of Christ, which does still exist today, but any thoughts of them still being a continuation of the Templar Order, is unlikely, but how this order of chivalry came to be, and how the Templars would slowly begin their recovery by taking refuge in Portugal, could also be worth exploring.
Honestly a story I would love to see with Thomas, is him hunting down the last of the templars maybe the last remnant of the knights Templar. The leader of the remnant is desperately searching for a piece of Eden relic and the leader finds the temple underneath a port city called caffa which is located in the republic of Genoa. Caffa is undersieged by the mongol empire but this doesn’t stop the templars and the assassins from investigating the temple. Thomas de carniellion investigates this but is to late to stop the Templars from obtaining what was locked in the temple. However, the temple was keeping an artifact hidden, it was holding back a plague. There was no ancient power, there was only death, every one laid witness to this and the city of caffa came to ruin because of this plague. The plague was able to spread with the help of rats that was present at caffa and because of them, all of Europe and most of Asia was in danger. Thomas de carneillion travels around mainly Paris cause it was able to handle the plague somehow, but he travels to other kingdoms and countries as he tries to find a cure. I call it Assassins Creed: Ruin or Assassins creed: Black Death or Assassins creed: plague idk lol
Not an RPG AC lover but, to think of it. Kassandra was alive when Thomas De Carneillon did this, and i would like to play as him in medieval setting AC game. And that outfit is soo good that modders always Modding it to newer games.
I think the 1300s would be too far in the future for that Altair style of clothing and weaponry. Some time near the third crusade well up until around 1257 ad would be better for this character.
The rise and fall of the templar order is fascinating. In the 14th century, they were almost wiped out. But in the 18th century (with Shay) they were at the peak of their powers.
Where Abstergo does the memory sweeps to catch Initiates learking in their servers, it wouldve been cool to see glimpses of Thomas's memories too but completely imperfect signalling that Thomas was a deep ancestor of Arno and the Animus have difficulty stabalising the memories of Thomas.
At some point Ubisoft needs to bring back the Templars and I really hope they bring that with this character. Unity is my favorite AC game and the intro was a big part of why.
I was so disappointed that Jaques de Molay got barely mentioned in the whole of AC. It would have been a brilliant opportunity to have the whole game set in that time with a big victory for assassins at the end, but sad times for templars. And yes, I agree 100%, it would be awesome to get a game set in medieval times.
Hey master assassin I just watched this video for like the second time and I was wondering if you could make another video on Thomas but you tell a story about a game like what you did with your other video assassins creed vengeance that was so cool

He was an ancestor of Arno, not a descendant. Ancestors come before, descendants come after.
hey bud u made a small mistake by saying he looks like arno's "descendant"
Also great vid covering about this forgotten assassin
He also said Ezios great grandfather but it’d have to be great grandson as Ezio was born in late 14,00s
@@that1ghost00 3:02. Listen again and realize how what you said was wrong in the same vein as the narrator.
@@that1ghost00Thomas is arno Ancestor it's literally right there in front of people faces they are both french and have the same exact face
@@that1ghost00 yeah, so he was born in the late 12,00s
@@seantheskeleton4106 honestly completely forgot what was going on and now I’m confused as to what the fuck I meant as well😂
Glad to see a video of this posted. This is the content I needed!
Do Duncan walpol next😂(poor Guy)
He was rogue already wasn't he
@@MK12275 yeah but this more of a joke . That why the smiling face
Since Ubisoft is STRUGGLING to revive the Assassins Creed franchise, I think they might be able to revive it a little with Thomas De Carneillon
I like how his robes were just a dark Altair palette swap 😅
The fact that we or anyone in game knows much about him, already proves that he was one of the greatest assasins.
Great , someone actually capable of bringing me back into AC fully. Thanks, I don’t hate it.
I did read about this guy. So great, but his work pretty much made Templars like the Assassin's and work in the shadows which really benefitted the Assassin's and Templars.
I just hope the modern day Brotherhood can bounce back like they always.
Thomas de carnellion needs his own AC game tbh
He also has a nearly identical rope to altiair
What if Ubisoft create the story bout Thomas de carnellion in next year. Including Ezio's grandfather
Interesting that the assassins back during the era of Altair reflected the area they were based in….
The AC Community must collectively ask ubisoft to create a sequel to unity, with exact game mechanics, stealth, etc.
Literally the same game with a continuation story.
Gotta say after altair his robes is beyond good
Like a black version of altair (good for night missions) but also have some paddings for extra armor and still kept the look of the robes of the creed and have to say some pattern on his robes just add more to the drip
Thomas De Corleon❌ French Altair✅
They should make a spin off game about his story.
Crazy we had such a legendary character
With such little screen time
I hate his uniform purely because i had to do the last puzzle thing in his crypt and couldnt figure it out because the parkour was so janky i got so mad i broke my controller. ( I was also having a really bad day already and i just wanted to finish the game.) And when i switched my controller i got it immediately. I was pissed
Having some form of connection to him within Project Hexe would be cool.
He was like “ Is He an ASSASSIN?!”
For him Thomas is his first assasin aside from Arno .
I hope they go more into him with the Netflix series
The most underrated and underdeveloped character of all time for who he was and what he did.
I’ve loved this guy since I first played Unity.
You meant ancestor of Arno. A grandson is a descendant, a grandfather is an ancestor.
I really hope we could get a game about Thomas since he's basically Altair in black and red but knowing Ubisoft he's gonna have powers
They'll make him the second coming of christ and let him fly while spinning blades protect him from harm or some dumb shit like that
@@zerophantomyt433 knowing Ubisoft they are
@@zerophantomyt433 So uhh... Noctis from FFXV?
I haven't played Unity since it came out, and I don't even remember this guy. That being said, I think it would be awesome to see a game with him as the main protagonist. He sounds like he was far more impressive that some of the protagonists we've had since Unity.
Unlocking Thomas’ armor was probably the most beneficial grind I’ve ever accomplished in any game.
I think adewale from 4 did a bunch
he helped Edward Kenway with
EVERYTHING he did for the assassin's
then left Edward to serve them
This is still my favorite, most intriguing intro, and they've done nothing with it since. In general I'd personally love another large city Assassins Creed with baked lighting that pushed the visuals, presentation, and parkour like Unity did.
I hate how so many people praise his outfit when it's literally just a lazy recolor of Altair.
No shit! I did not notice!😂😂 that why it praised you dumbass thats the point to tribut altair
( Because while I did like Rogue, I thought it did not perfect the concept of following the Templar ideology )
...as while the remnants of the Templars were hunted down and eradicated across Europe, King Denis of Portugal, had refused any words from Philip regarding the Templars, and notably welcomed them to Portugal and reformed them as the Military Order of Christ, which does still exist today, but any thoughts of them still being a continuation of the Templar Order, is unlikely, but how this order of chivalry came to be, and how the Templars would slowly begin their recovery by taking refuge in Portugal, could also be worth exploring.
Man was so badass, they built a whole vault to hold his fit.
“He’s actually a descendant of Arno.”
Don’t you mean ancestor?
A game with this guy would be a good way to go back to the roots
Yessss finally someone did a video on Thomas
Not an RPG AC lover but, to think of it. Kassandra was alive when Thomas De Carneillon did this, and i would like to play as him in medieval setting AC game. And that outfit is soo good that modders always Modding it to newer games.
Arno looks like Thomas de carnellion with beard ig the mocap actors are same Dan Jeanotte
Unfortunately It’s Dark blue in game not black.
I’d definitely play if they made a game about him I didn’t realize how badass he actually was
I think the 1300s would be too far in the future for that Altair style of clothing and weaponry. Some time near the third crusade well up until around 1257 ad would be better for this character.
The rise and fall of the templar order is fascinating. In the 14th century, they were almost wiped out. But in the 18th century (with Shay) they were at the peak of their powers.
Then Connor and Arno demolished both templar orders Shay had built
They made a spinoff of basim ,Adewale and avaline three minor characters plus Shay Mccormick the Templar who used assassin techniques to kill a high rank assassin Arno's father.
