Ingredients:
Indigofera tinctoria
Indigo powder dye contains a bluish pigment that comes from the leaves of a plant known as Indigofera tinctoria. This plant is grown in a tropical environment, Indigo powder smells like fresh peas, when mixed with water, it smells more like nature, like a freshly mowed lawn. When used in combination with henna on hair, it can produce light brown, medium brown, dark brown & Jet black hair colors. It works best with henna.
🌿 Works Best with henna on Grey, light brown & medium brown
🌿 Conditions & Adds Shine to your Hair
🌿 Adds Manageability & Promotes Hair Growth
🌿 Continuous use Improves overall Hair health
🌿 No more irritation, Bruises, or Burns
Indigo powder is applied the same way as henna, but indigo itself does not really work on gray hair. It has to be either mixed with henna or applied on henna-dyed hair. Here is a general idea on working with indigo powder to obtain desired results, these recommendations are assuming your original hair color is lighter than your desired color
Short Hair & Half Beard-1/3 (4.5 tbsp)
Shoulder Length & Full Beard-2/3 (8tbsp)
Mid Back-Full Pack
Hip Length-1&1/2 pack
Mustache -1/4 (3tbsp) - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Very well explained.thank you so much
The shower cup must have some small to medium size holes on it in order to make the hair that is mixed with undigo to dry out with the air ventilating in and out of the shower cup.Keeping all the moistened head and isolating it with a shower cup WITHOUT HOLES AND ADDING A DRY TOWEL ON TOP OF IT IS NUTS,THE WETNESS WILL CAUSE US TO HAVE HEADACHES AND IT IS NOT HEALTHY FOROUR BODIES...I DYE MY HAIR WITH HENNA FIRST WHICH I PREPARE A NIGHT BEFORE BY MIXING IT WITH TEA WITH BLACK CUMIN SEEEDS AND THEN I apply henna after I have showered and my hair is completely washed and rinsed and while my hair is wet I put the henna that I prepared like I said above in it and I leave it on for two hours--this covers my grays ,but it leaves my hair in orange red nasty color....Then I prep indigo like it is SAID in the video, BUT I mix it with tea that I get from boiling black cummin seeds and then I put indigo powder on for another 2 hours and that makes my hair look a nice normal brown color and I am ready to go for 4 weeks. As you see it is time taking, but I avoid the chemicals and my hair looks healthy, and natural ..Good luck and enjoy AND make sure you buy good quality of henna powder without chemicals and NO henna has no color if the package says brown henna, or black henna ect ect it is alternated and most likely that henna won't give results and even worst will intoxicate you.
The amazing thing about henna is that it's unique to each individual! What works for you, can be diff for another person. And to achieve the maximum results it's important to keep moisture in the recommended way. The way you do is not wrong either:) That just works for you best. As for colors, you need to make sure what ingredients are added to the henna. Our henna contains herbal ingredients that help you achieve the color desired.
How long can you go between dying your hair with henna and then dying it with indigo and still get the jet black effect? I used black henna on my hair 5 days ago but it’s not as black as I would like
Hi Emma, The most we would recommend is not to go over 2 days. Also, mix the indigo powder with black brewed coffee, add little salt, and add 1 tsp of pure henna. Hope this helps. :)
1) There is no such thing as black henna! it has added chemicals
Depending on your hair growth, a max of 3 weeks.
Black henna has chemcicals added - its not a pure herb.
Indigo can turn green or purple in the presence of chemical hair dyes
And the recipe above is wrong!
For indigo oxidaion- one needs only TWO Ingredients, common salt and warm water.
And apply immediately - jet black colour guaranteed. No resting time.
Keep for 5-6 hours, with shower caps on. wash off with luke warm water and condition to detangle.
No shampoo or soap to be used while washing. for the next 2 days, the dye will continue oxidising on the hair the colour will darken. On the 3rd day, warm some oil ( depending on hair length) and apply on hair. Keep it on for 2 hours and wash off with shampoo and conditioner . The applied dye will deepen and excess will wash off
Any oil or combination of oils can be used - coconut, sesame, olive etc!
When youre done with the normal henna then after the rinse put the indigo on.
I used indigo by it self to cover greys it worked perfectly fine by covering my hair and make my hair darker , not sure why you would say it does not work.
What your indigo brand please ? Thank you
The majority have really stubborn grey hair. Yes, Indigo powder can be used alone and works for some, but for most, it doesn't work without pure henna:) So we want to make sure the base is explained and have an understanding overall
The Henna Guys :)
Does the coffee just darken the hair results?
The coffee can help to tone down a lot of the red that henna makes. -Hilary
@@TheHennaGuys ahhh thank you! ✨
What's the difference between the two step process or combining them together?
To get a darker color like black with all natural ingredients like henna and indigo, you will want to do a 2-step process. Combining the two together can make the color brown with more red undertones.
@@TheHennaGuys thanks for getting back to me. I mixed it and got a really nice dark dark brown with reddish undertones still which I wanted. But! I have about 5 greys that grow on the top of my head and they weren't covered by the dye! Normally with just henna the greys are covered. So is this something to do with the indigo? I did a 25 henna 75 indigo split
Do we add indigo to the henna of the jet black henna? Do we have to wait for the henna for 8-10 hours separately? Do we mix them together in one bowl or separately apply?
Jet Black already contains a packet of indigo, so you don't need to purchase an additional one. For the application of Jet Black, you do need to mix the henna and let it complete the full 8-10 hour dye release process. Then you would apply. Leave the henna on for 3 hours and then rinse with cool water. Let your hair dry before mixing the indigo. Then you would mix the indigo and let it rest for about 30 minutes, then apply. Leave on for another 3 hours. Rinse with cool water- Hilary
Does indigo powder need to be used in one go after the packaging is opened?
In other words does it oxidize and lose its ability to color a few weeks later ?
I am talking about dry indigo that has not yet been mixed with water
Please advise
You can store your unused indigo powder in a zip locking bag. The oxidization happens when mixed with a liquid and develops that way. You cannot store leftover mixed indigo, as it will have oxidized and have less staining ability.
Yeah alredy it's been answered the right✅ way to store Indigo/dry powder tightly in ziplock bag & then in a air tight box again.
Never keep these Indigo packs or boxes where heat comes from windows or sunlight falls. Keep in dark places please.
How many hours for hair henna
You will want to keep the henna on your hair for 2-3 hours. You can leave it on for longer, if you want.
I’m searching to answer why I can’t use indigo on its own? I bought at an Indian store and wanted to try. If I use henna, then what does indigo on top of it does?
Hi, the indigo needs a henna base to attach to, to get a brown or black color. If you use indigo without henna, your hair will get darker but can have blue to purple tints and will wash out.
@@TheHennaGuys understand. Thank you!!
Indigo laba gannea kohomada
Sorry, can you please translate this?:)
All lie, it doesn’t work, don’t waste time and money
It really comes down to how the indigo is prepared. If you are trying to make your hair color darker, we do always recommend an application of pure henna first and foremost. -Hilary
@@TheHennaGuys
Ok i’ll try that way now, as i mixed both together and then applied. Lets try seperately. One thing, after how long you have to rinse when you apply the indigo?
We recommend that your hair be towel-dry before mixing and applying the indigo. -Hilary
Waste of money and waste of time as indigo moves out of the hairs with 3-4 days as you shampoo your hairs so your hairs only left with henna in orange colour….
Waste of time. Nothing happened.
