I use a flat pocket made of silk that I carry around my hips under my clothes where I keep money, cards and passport (when I don't need to use them). It's my secret stash. Of course I use another wallet but with less valuables. Silk prevents me from sweating and this light pocket is easy to wash and dries in no time.
Okay, challenge accepted by a sister bag lady. My EDC: lip balm, ( one regular and one with SPF) tiny nail clipper and glass file, hair elastic, bobby pins, a few safety pins, a few paper clips, a few post-it notes, mini pen. A small container with various medications, (that's has gotten much larger as I've gotten older and less healthy). Hero clip, tiny flashlight, Peeps eyeglass cleaner. Tiny bathroom kit with individually packaged butt wipes, a few soap sheets, one compressed towel. (If traveling in Europe, a few coins, as well). Tissues or actual handkerchief. Tiny medical kit: single use eye drops, multi-purpose salve in teeny tiny container, Band-Aids, a few tiny packets of various medical salves. Sunblock either in a tiny packet, tiny two or tiny stick. I like to make a game of figuring out how to miniaturize things so I have used empty lip balm tubes and created tiny containers of sunblock stick, chaff balm, a CBD pain balm, etc. An extra carabiner. A Gerber shard. For a hat clip, I've used the kind of clips that we used to use for mittens for children that have a clip at either end connected by a short piece of elastic strap. At home I also carry a small Swiss army knife. When I travel again I'm considering getting a small multi-tool like the one you have that doesn't have a blade. A small power pack and an InCharge charging cord, (like you showed.) A tiny bit of mini nano paracord. Of course, I also have a tiny wallet with RFID protection. When I travel, I also have a small silk RFID bra pouch. It keeps some extra cash and a single card inside for emergencies. If I actually go and look in my pouch I bet I have a few more things, as well.
Brilliant. May i add something? Baby nappy sacks - pack of 300 for about 50 pence in UK . Pack a few for sealing discarded personal items and other general rubbish. They are very strong. I squeeze to compress the contents then tie the handles tightly. UK. E❤
Oooh, I’m going to get both of those bags! Travelon and Baggallini are BY FAR my two favorite bag brands - so much that I’ve gotten rid of all my other purses for EDC (except one for special occasions). I thought I was the only one who wanted to be prepared for everything until I found you. It’s so refreshing to find a soul sister since everyone else makes fun of me. But who’s laughing when they need something? 😁 I’ve got a two week trip scheduled for Europe soon (1st time) so I’m going back and rewatching a bunch of your other videos. I’ve got a little shopping and prepping to do to calm my pre-travel anxiety.
Yes! We are definitely soul sisters! And I’ve had people make fun of me for being prepared but at the same people who also say, “ do you have____• and of course I probably have it in there so glad that I do! My boyfriend is an Eagle Scout and he said I’m more prepared than he is! But there is something so comforting about just being prepared for about anything! I’m so glad you enjoy this video, and that you are getting some great ideas for your next travel adventure!😊💕
After seeing your lemon pop-out fan I bought a bunch on Amazon. Because there were 24 in the pack, I have been able to bless friends and family with them. Just this morning, a friend was packing for a trip and expecting hot weather. I grabbed the two from my purse and she is over the moon to have them! You have such great ideas and I wanted you to know that via the ripple effect, you have blessed other people!
You have just brought the biggest smile to my face! Personal, I want to thank you for your feedback and for sharing my hacks! I’m always looking for a way to try to make things easier for people and those little fans are so cheap, but can be such a lifesaver when you are in a hot car, plane, or train, or even sitting somewhere in a building! It’s so small that brings such great comfort when you need it! Thank you so much for sharing and I’m looking forward to more of your feedback💕😊
I have done the same thing with multi packs of little gadgets on Amazon. Good idea about the fan, the set I bought has 4, I'll bring one with me when I visit my mother in Vancouver Island in a could of weeks. I also buy multi packs of keychain flashlights (I literally have one on every bag and jacket zipper pull I own, keychain pens, tiny keychain multitools, fresnel magnifier lenses - I am always buying sets of 8 or a dozen on Amazon then gifting them to friends. Dollar Tree had these teeny tiny pocket fishing kit containers, I bought several for making purse pharmacies/first aid kits, and I often put them in the blessing bags I always keep in my vehicle to give to panhandlers. I do a lot of volunteer work with the homeless population in my city, and am always collecting items for blessing bags.
@@colleenc5008 Thank you for your kind words. There have been times when I got my church involved in donations, and times when I just collected what I have, so it does depends somewhat on what I have managed to collect. But generally, shelf stable snacks and bottle water or juice boxes; small travel sized toiletry items; new socks (the most asked for and least donated items at food/clothing banks); foot powder or anything else that has to do with foot care (you would weep if you saw the state of most homeless people's feet!); pocket tissues; lip balm; small first aid items; hand cream; when I can get a donation of them, small fast food gift cards (it not only provides some food or a warming or cooling drink of the recipient's choice, but also - perhaps more importantly - offers an opportunity to access a safe washroom to clean up a bit. Not an easy thing for unhoused people to access, especially at night); small flashlights; in winter, hand warmers and space blankets; sometime MREs with heaters if I can get a good deal. Anything else survival related, but those are the major categories.
Travelon is such a great brand. I have bought two bags and both have been super practical, so much so that my mom kept one of them. At the moment I use the crossbody bucket bag (I think that's the model) and is very practical. The only issue I have is that sometimes the back pocket zipper gets stuck on some of my blouses, nothing that some pliers can't fix. Anyway, I loved your kit! You always give me great ideas to improve the contents of my bag even if I only go out with some friends.
100% agree! I’m always looking for new bags because not every bag fits every trip and of course in the bag lady and I’m always wanting some new bag! I’ll have to look up the one that you’re using! Thank you so much for sharing💕😊
As always, you have such great ideas! A badge holder as a hat clip is brilliant. I definitely relate to the desire to be prepared for everything alongside the desire to minimize what I'm carrying. Thanks for all the great ideas and content!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you are also a prepared for anything person! We are always the person that people go to leave need something and I’m always happy to share💕😊
You are AMAZING! You are my favorite travel TH-camr- because what you present is REAL LIFE - I’m not worried about a makeup mirror! I need what is going to be effective on a trip!
Thank you so much 💕😊I have used to make up mirror several times to see if somethings in my eye plus I use that as my general make up mirror while I’m doing my make up!😊
The mirror can be used to look behind you in case you think you are being followed. Just look in the mirror and prime with your hair while looking behind you in the mirror. No one will know you are watching them. It also comes in handy to signal for help. I've even held mine up to a screaming child to show them how silly they look doing that. 😉
My standard items: a pack of kn95 mask, cotton bandana, a folding fan, 2 eyeglasses (sun and reading), painkiller, fisherman’s friend, gum, toothpicks, nail file, a small tin of homemade bug repellent/after bite ointment, spf lip balm, bluetooth transmitter for earphones, battery pack, charging cord, strips of moleskins for blisters, a reusable grocery tote. If rain is forecasted, an umbrella or poncho.
You sound very prepared and very much like me! Great minds think alike! I just came back from a trip in Virginia and I’ll tell you having that after bite was such a necessary item! I went out to cook something on the grill, and I was out for like five minutes and got ten mosquito bites! I generally don’t like to use any sort of repellent because of the amount of chemicals in it, so I’d love to hear about your homemade mosquito repellent.🙏💕😊
Fanny/sling tip! You can use it as a luggage strap to secure your personal item on top of your roller carry on. It gives you an extra accessible pocket! I have a Huggie Wide from Lug and am going to use that as my extra pocket and water bottle holder. Of course, being sure that I have room inside my personal item bag for stowage if questioned as an additional bag. Trolley sleeves are still my absolute requirement, but it does provide function and added suppport!
I love that hack so much! Thank you for sharing that. And yes, it’s always a great idea to leave a little bit of room in case the gate agent tells you to remove it.💕🙏😊
I love your videos - I love travel gadgets and wish I travelled more so I could use them. :) I bought some of those little pop-up fans and they were great. My girls and I were at Disney last week during the extreme heat, and I was SO glad we all had the fans, as well as our umbrellas for shade, when it was too hot to wear our hats. One thing that came in handy on our trip were some little camping spoon-forks, which helped us avoid using disposable plastic utensils. In my first-aid kit I carry waterproof bandages (Nexcare are my favorite) and a few butterfly bandages, which can be used to hold cuts closed I also usually carry a "tinker" bag with a silicone-covered twist tie, a small zip tie, a bobbin of thin wire (22 or smaller gauge), a tiny pliers/wire cutter (though nail clippers will work), a small pair of scissors, some large safety pins, a little sewing kit and a tiny roll of duct tape - you never know when you might need to fix something. I often carry a sewing or first-aid kit in a clean metal mints box - those magnifiers fit perfectly, and they make tiny glow-stick fishing lures that are bright enough to read by, and last for hours, in case one's flashlight doesn't work.... ;) Thanks again for all the ideas.
It sounds like you and I are cut from the same cloth! We always like to be prepared for anything! I’ll have to do a video on my little first aid kit that I bring occasionally when I travel! 😊💕 Thank you so much for sharing your pack with us.💕😊
I’m A HUGE fan of an EDC pack, even before that was an acronym. I love your ideas, especially your bag and that cutting tool! Thank you for the great recommendations. I just bought the bag. Never used a link to make a purchase. I hope you get compensation for my purchase. I’ll get that tool later.
Thank you so much and if you use the links that I provide in the video description, I do get a small little cut from Amazon at no additional cost to you🙏💕😊 I love that little knife or I can just replace the utility blade! The utility blades are cheap enough that I can just leave them at my destinations, but get them pretty much anywhere in the world! 💕😊
Curious as to why you switch to the Pacsafe sling and also excited to hear how you like it compared to TravelOn because I almost bought the Pacsafe one too! 💕😊 please let us know your thoughts🙏💕😊
@@TheoryofSimple my TravelOn was just a tad big and I remember my shoulder hurting after using it daily. I think that the Pacsafe sling is slightly smaller and sits more towards my chest and the straps are wider. Just wish PacSafe will have a tan color for summer instead of just black or grey to match my lighter summer outfits. 😊😊
@@orthodiva7487 I completely agree on the color! I was looking all over for something that was a lighter color, but everything was gray or black. And it’s not that I mind gray or black but like you said in the summer, I like to carry some thing a little lighter colored.😊💕
You are so good at using space wisely! I always need an inhaler and my day’s meds with me, but apart from that I have many of the gadgets you’ve demonstrated over your videos. They save so much space and are so useful!
Thank you so much and yes you have to make room for what is necessary for you and sometimes if it’s medication or inhaler you’ll have to remove something else out of the bag or just make sure you have a bag big enough to carry everything! I am so happy you’re getting some great hacks for my videos💕😊
Love your packing and traveling videos. I always see that you have something new and cool! I have added a thermometer and alcohol pads in my toiletry kit after I came down ill on a trip last year and found it impossible to find one without going shopping. I use one from the Dollar store and it works perfectly. I have added items that you’ve suggested such as, portable fan, personal bidet, Hero clip to name a few. Thank you for your videos!
You’re so welcome and thank you! You can buy a disposable thermometer on Amazon or head and the flat so you can pack several of them all at once! I’ll have to do a video on my travel medical kit! 💕😊
One of my favourite things to travel is a colouring Mandala book and colour pencils. I keep entertained especially when I am waiting for delayed flights. Of course, a book. Even when I read many books in my IPad from the online library.
I’m so happy you uploaded today 😊 I always love to watch what you carry in your travel bags. I always get ideas from you. Love, love, love your channel. 👍🏼
Thank you so much and that means a lot to me! I always want to feel like I have some sort of confidence in presenting and not looking like I don’t know what I’m talking about💕😊
Personally we take umbrellas on most trips, because "you never know." We take sturdier ones, not the tiny ones; Lanbrella makes a large windproof umbrella that folds compactly, and has auto-open/close. On a recent trip to Germany and Austria, we were SO GLAD we had them, because it rained almost every day. One day in particular we were in a park when a thunderstorm popped up, with strong wind and driving rain, but we were well-protected by bracing those umbrellas against the wind. Of course we all need to watch weather forecasts before we travel, and be mindful of the space and weight of everything we pack, so this won't work for everybody. And a tiny umbrella is sure better than nothing!
You’re absolutely right and I’m going to have to look up that umbrella! I need a good sturdy strong one because if it’s really windy, this one will flip inside out! Truly appreciate you sharing that with us! 💕😊
I really like some of the tiny tools that you have and the bags. I also bag a small toiletry bag with me with some essential oils and ointments for cuts/bruises. Thanks for the helpful info on all these neat ways to pack small and simple!
Thank you so much! I think of it kind of like a little bit of a puzzle every time I travel what do I need on this trip and then will fit in the bag! 💕😊
i have to keep coming back to this video and watch it again! I just love it because this is how i do things but sometimes I need to hear it from someone else. then I made a list and plan to update mine! when you run out of ideas for videos, how about what you keep by your sitting chair, or how you organize different areas in your home.
Thank you so much and I’m so glad you’re getting some great ideas for your EDC from my videos! I am planning on doing a show until of how I organize all this stuff sometime later this year! Thank you so much for the suggestion💕😊
I recently purchased an anti slash purse for an upcoming trip. You alway give the best advice and I have jump on many of your ideas. Thank you Mary Poppins.❤️
Thank you! Honestly, I couldn’t believe how well it worked! Even when I bet over my classes did not fall out! It was a pleasant surprise, and I had to share it💕😊
I have a tiny titanium whistle on my key ring, along with a tiny folding knife (1" blade), flashlight, and nail clipper. Very small and light. I just take the knife off when flying. Thinking about getting the utility blade you showed.
@@lskazalski love the titanium whistle idea! Thank you so much for sharing that with us💕 so far, I’m really loving the slim profile of this utility knife multi tool! It even if it’s in my wallet!😊
Such a great video. You may like the multi-head chargers that have a retractable cord. They come in high voltage that can also charge a laptop. Keep it coming because I have a strong “just in case” mentality but want to be a minimalist too 😂
Thank you so much💕😊 I have seen those ones with the retractable Head and I have thought about it but I didn’t know how much room they would take up but I may have to buy wanna try it! Thank you so much for sharing that with us💕😊
And a tiny bag, of course. I love Nano bags. Highly recommend them, pack up super tiny super lightweight and expand to a large bag. Plus reusable cutlery. I hate using single use plastic! I also carry a bandana or cotton napkin.
Completely agree! I sometimes carry a little cutlery sit with me, depending on where I’m going and what I’m doing, and I always have some sort of lens cleaner or some sort of bandanna that I can use as a napkin or like I said handkerchief! That waterproof bag I showed you is the cedar summit nano bag that I carry with me because you never know when you go to buy something or if it starts raining it’s a great place to put your bags to keep them dry! 💕😊 Thank you so much for sharing.
As is typical, you've given us a great video which is packed with ideas (it's as full as your bag 😉)! I have some travelon and Pac Safe items that I often use as my EDC at home now, after buying them for travel. I've been able to find them at Sierra and TJ Maxx, so that's a bonus! I love all of the safety features, including the fact that you can unclip the strap and attach the bag to a stationary object. It's nice to be able to take off my bag for a bit while in a restaurant, and not worry that someone will grab it and run. I'm going to check out your electronic cords and adapters - such a clever way to reduce weight and still have what I need. I've also been looking for a tiny flashlight, and this looks like it would fit the bill! I appreciate you and all the time and thought you put into your videos. Not everyone will use all of your tips (there's only ONE Mary Poppins ❤), it's easy to find at least a couple that would be helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so much!💕😊 I miss having a sierra trading post near me! You could always find such great gear like that in there! I do find some things that TJ, Maxx and Marshalls but they don’t always have it so I usually just get it on Amazon because I know I can find it! I’m so happy that you are getting some great hacks from my Mary Poppins videos ! 💕Truly appreciate you giving us your feedback! 💕😊🙏
Badge holder clip for hat holder...genius! Why didn't I think of that! My MUST HAVE is hydrocortisone cream (anti itch cream)! I have crazy and very random reactionary skin. All of a sudden my hands will be on fire from a soap I used (in public). Or, if I touch a furry friend. I found tiny little single use pouches of the cream so i have one in all of my bags just in case!
I bring hand sanitizer that I know won't effect my skin negatively due to some soap. And I have asthma and the scent of some of those soaps are so bad for my asthma I'll wash without soap if needed and after my hands are dry use hand sanitizer
I travel with the same crossbody bag. (I snagged it at the thrift store for $8!?!). It’s amazing what I can fit in there…I love things that come in “tiny.”😊
18:35 didn’t know if you know or not, but the rolling square in charges you are carrying also have a micro usb. Look at the lightning port at the end. Look at the end of it. You can plug that into lightning AND micro usb. Love those suckers. I have one in EVERY bag I carry. They also make a LONGER one 🎉
I’ll tell you, at this age, you never know when I’m gonna get a fat hot flash or be stuck on a plane but it’s just not cool enough and that fan has come in handy so many times! It’s so small and so cheap, but so worth carrying! 💕😊
Thank you so much💕😊 I’m so happy you are enjoying my videos! Honestly, it wasn’t planned to have the Outfit National like that but I’m really happy with how it turned out💕😊
Lol! Believe me, I have had to work on this too and sometimes it takes me half an hour to figure out exactly what I want in this bag! But to me, it’s a little bit like a fun puzzle to do to see what do I actually need versus what can I carry!😂
Wow, You Look Great 👍 in those muted colors, too. As always, luv ❤️ your gadget selections. Keep up the good job and keep it fun and bright. Thanks 🙏 xxx
I watch your videos for ideas of whatbi can take on a road trip. In 2 weeks we are taking a jeep camping trip with minimal ( very minimal ) personal space.. so Im binge watching trying tonfigure out how to have everything i need. Do you ever take road trips with minimal space? Do you pack your things the same way? This is a great idea. Im also going to do the tiny toiletry bag too
How do you take road trips and the last time I just took was to Virginia Beach but I don’t know how minimally I packed because I actually used a Suitcase but I’m getting ready to do a camping trip soon and I will be packing minimally for that and do a video on that as well! I’m anxious to hear about your little road trip🙏💕
So helpful! Love all the mini-sized gadgets!! Getting ready for carryon only 1 month trip to the Mediterranean. I am using many of your tips & tricks. Thank you!!
You are so very welcome and I’m so glad you enjoyed this video and are getting some great hacks for your trip to the Mediterranean! It sounds like it’s going to be a wonderful adventure😊💕
I recently bought that Travelon waist pack/purse/sling for a trip and haven't used it yet - good to know it works great and that you can get so much stuff in it, yay! As a person who can use a whole tiny pack of tissues in a day, I can't believe you still have an "old" package in your EDC, ha. 😄 Tissues are a must for me.
Lol, all these really tiny packs of tissues are ones that I picked up all my travels to Asia so I have like a whole drawer full of them! I’m down to just a few left now😜
Just a safety note regarding putting your bag on a hook over the stall door in a public bathroom (either the hook you brought or one already on the door) - it's a common practice for a thief to wait for a woman to go into a stall, wait a few moments, and then reach over the door and grab the purse or bag that she's hung up, and run. They count on the fact that by the time you can get out, they will be long gone. They can do the same if you put your bag on the floor by grabbing it from the next stall, so just another of many reasons to never do that either. Some stalls have a shelf behind or beside the toilet as a safe place to put your purse, but most don't. Best to put it over your head or hang on to it any way you can, but never put it on a door hook.
Appreciate the word of caution and I think for a regular handbag that might be true but my bag weighs 25 pounds so I think they have a hard time lifting that up and over the door without standing on a stool and using both hands. Not all bathrooms have that shelf behind the toilet which is also probably pretty filthy so sometimes the only option you have is to put it on the hook or use your own hook.. most of the time I’m caring a roller bag with me so it’s usually on top of the roller bag and they’re not going to get that over or under the toilet stall door. 😊
I think that my favorite thing is that Travelon bag you show... it looks to be so versatile... I to love to have xtra bags and love the fold up DAISO bags, so sturdy compact and washable for long life., and the little snap bag that it comes with is everything!... This might be TMI but I just have to have Qtips when I travel... so many uses besides the obvious but I go crazy mad if I don't have one when I want one...I know (nutz)
I too keep a small container of q-tips in my toiletries bag. If I get water in my ears from my shower and don't dry them out with q-tips I get terrible ear pain, sometimes an infection.
I always love your videos! Living a maximalist life in a minimalist footprint! Haha! I’ll be sure to use that logic. I call my larger bag, that I always have with me, Purse #2. It’s the one I leave in the car. My favorite thing today was the Multitool knife with the box cutter blade. Excellent idea! I forgot I had my little Swiss Army knife with me when I last traveled & had to mail it home to myself. Much better to surrender the blade, but I try to put anything like that in packed bag normally. Your ideas have helped me with packing smaller, while still carrying everything I believe I need. Have a great week Eunice! (P.S. You Tube changed my name, no idea how or why, but it is Wanda)
Hi Wanda, so glad to hear from you! I just see the name is different and I’m really weird that they changed it. Anyway, glad to hear it you and yes, thank you so much for your feedback! 💕😊💛
I just bought an Adidas quilted crossbody just like the little bag you use size wise for my upcoming 1 month trip. I can’t wait to see what you have inside 👏
I think utility blade is pretty universal. Although even if you couldn’t find a blade, there are a couple of other things on the stool that work great like a Phillips head, flat head screwdriver, the hex nut bottle opener, and the measuring.😊
Your mom is a smart woman! And I’m so glad that you got one too ! It’s so handy because even with glasses on, sometimes you need a little magnifier just to read ingredients especially on medicine bottles😊💕
I love the sling bag that you can wear 3 different ways! I have it on my list to buy! So many fantastic ideas in your videos! I want all the things! I carry a diaper bag with me all the time because I am a bag lady too and they have the most pockets and I love to be prepared. I have been wanting to seriously downsize though and all these videos will help me do just that. Less for more for sure!
Oh my gosh, I can’t believe you mentioned diaper bag because I carried a diaper bag for years! They really are the best bags because of all the little pockets and stuff! We are definitely cut from the same cloth💕😊
I have 2 travelon purses…urs in navy & a slightly larger one. I never noticed that slide thru part on the back to put the strap thru! 😮🤦🏼♀️🤣. Thanks for teaching me more about a bag I’ve owned for a year already ❤️
I like especially all the little tools that you have those little tools that you also let us know where the other TSA approved or not so those are the best ones but I carry most of the same similar items and it does change from season to season so I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the same and carries important items
Thank you! Yes! My things change s bit depending on where I’m going, how long I’m staying and if I’m planning on traveling to other places during my trip!💕😊
Unfortunately, some TSA agents are like that but usually I pull up the Amazon link and show them that it says TSA approved and they let me get it through. However, every age is different.😊 so sorry you had to go through that
Thank you so much! I truly love doing the research and experimenting on my own to bring you guys my thoughts and recommendations! Truly appreciate your feedback💕😊
I always learn something from your videos. Thank you! I like to carry a fold up shopping bag. One thing you had that I need is the credit card sized magnifier… that would really come in handy. Where did you get yours?
Hi Eunice, I can't seem to find the video where you recommend a safety latch for hotel doors. I would appreciate any options that are light for travel. Thanks!
Hi there that is in my safety and security video and you can find that in my travel hacks playlist on my channel. You should be able to find a link for that door lock in the video description.💕😊
I used to carry a little notebook, but I found I wasn’t using it so I took it out. But I think it might be good to carry a couple of pieces of fold up post it note.🙏💕😊
I have an adorable gold color passport holder with a magnetic closure on the strap. It is the PERFECT size to hold a spiral 4x6 notebook. (I had to trim the back cardboard a bit so it would slide into the pocket) I LOVE this thing!! Any bag I carry had better have space for it because I'm not leaving home without it. I can not even imagine not having pen & paper on me at all times! I keep stuff I need to remember, groc & nonfood lists, coupons, to-do's, directions & addresses where I need to go. Literally my handy 'brain dump bucket' 😂 I even discovered my checkbook register fits perfectly in the same pocket just behind the notepaper. I rarely write checks but do record every debit card transaction in it. It is just the perfect size for my hands .. not too large and not too small.
I’d be curious if in one year you would tell us which of these items you actually used in the smaller bag. Just wondering because you’ve had the tissues for years you said. Fun gadgets but I would hate to have to keep track of those things when you can pretty much buy what you need in a fix. That’s just me though, everyone does it their own way and that’s cool too. Love both bags.
Well, I have so many of those little airline tissues because I have traveled for 40 years and collected them. I love that they’re really small packets and I only use those when I traveling with a small little bag like this.. I have used every single thing in this bag! And even more, but I’ve slowly learn to pair down! And I do agree you can buy some things along the way, but somethings are in such a small footprint that you can’t just buy them, so I’d rather bring them. 😊💕
Packets of tissue are an absolute necessity! In case you end up in a bathroom with no tissue available. Or if an allergy kicks up unexpectedly, causing profuse runny nose. I ALWAYS keep a pack in my purse.
Thank you so much! I had her put a tope told her in to blend it anymore with my natural hair color, of course, it will slowly wash out, but I think it looks good for now💕😊
Thank you so much! Both of these bags have a link in the video description. If for some reason you can’t find it, let me know and I will get you the links.🙏💕😊
Thanks for the video. Is this bag still your favorite? Is the shoulder bag comfortable with the slash guard materials which can be very stiff and not so comfortable on your shoulder as a crossbody. There is no room for a small water bottle which would be more useful.
@@veritasca24 yes! The Crossbody bag is perfect for every use…going to the store, quick errands, short day trips. The convertible back pack is what I carry when I am going to be out and about longer and need other items like a water bottle or scarf or snacks or medication. 😊 I did a video a couple weeks ago about using the 3-1 convertible backpack as a personal carry on. That may be helpful for you to watch💕😊
I have many of the same items with me every day and when I travel. For flights, I have a tiny sewing kit with small rounded thread scissors (they have not problem with those, the blades are less than an inch long) and a micro ceramic knife, which does not show up on xray scanners. It is very small and doesn't cut much, but is perfect for opening packaging. I have that same Leatherman micro tool, and have only had it confiscated once. I keep it in my toiletries bag, it seems less prone to be noticed among all the other toiletries. One somewhat unusual item I carry is my small round zippered case with seven 1/4 ounce glass bottles for essential oils - my pocket first aid kit. I include oils for headache, sleep, colds, immune boosting, and some that can be added to a small spray bottle of water to make an organic insect repellant.
Thank you so much 💕 When I’m out and about, I do not carry my passport with me and I keep it either in the hotel room stay for locked up in my suitcase. But when I’m traveling with carry-on, only, I do keep my passport in either my personal carry-on or in my vest pocket.😊💕
I always love your vidoes. What you can't fit in probably isn't worth taking!!! I always have my little fan with me too. I need my meds with me and water to take them with. I always have a hat and sunscreen lotion, tissues and my allergy tabs. Sound like a real crook old chook don't I? Nah, just old and hypertension etc catch up with you. Keep up the good work for us.
I agree with you on if you can’t fit it in there it’s probably not worth taking for every day carry! And of course, if there’s medication you need, you absolutely should have it with you, but I agree if you need sunscreen or anything else bring it with you you’ll never be sorry! Thank you so much for sharing what you bring with us💕😊
Really enjoy your videos. I have learned alot! Question: I have a great bag I sit on top of my rolling carryon. It has quite a good size luggage sleeve (about 6 x 11") but the bag constantly slips around to the front of the rolling carryon suitcase. Have you got any tips to keep it from shifting?
Thank you! Yes, I do have a tip to help you from having the bag slide around. 1. If the handle of the bag that’s on the top can fit over the trolley handle it sometimes keeps it tighter. 2. If you have a belt, you can also put it around the bag and tighten it around the trolley handle. 3. Use a luggage strap like this one amzn.to/3E2SqhJ. Hope this helps!😊💕
Always love your videos, just fascinating. I think I like the small bag the versatile one. I recently saw a couple bags on Amazon that are like carry on, maybe under seat? Some have areas for a pair of shoes. And they look like a fabric carry bag but they have a compartment like a suitcase. Some are carry straps, some have backpack. Wondering what you think of them in general.
Thank you so much! Regarding the bags, they are on Amazon. I have so many of them and I have use them as my personal item back when I travel the one requirement I have is I must have a trolley sleeve so I can fit it on top of a carry-on suitcase. As far as the bags with extra compartments with shoes or some thing, I do have a couple of those as well. I think they are fine, but if they’re unstructured, they can be overpack and they will not fit under the seat in front of you, so you just have to be careful.💕😊
@@TheoryofSimple That makes sense. I have not flown in a long time, like before 2000. Back then it was different. So you brings rolling carry on and a bag for your seat right? But is the seat bag supposed to be instead of a purse?
@@taunyawren8020 you can use your purse at your personal item, but most people carry a bag because a lot of people carry Travelon only and are trying to take as much stuff with them as they can, and are usually using a backpack or other bag to carry some items but it’s still have to be small enough to fit underneath the seat in front of you. Your roller bag will go in the overhead compartment.. but you need to be aware that some airlines will also charge you for bringing a bag and putting it in the overhead compartment. And yes, many things have changed since 2000 with regard to travel.😊
@@TheoryofSimple Thanks for replying. I think that sounds like the best plan. A roller for overhead & a bag that fits underneath. Maybe tuck a slim purse in the bag or roller f needed later.
Thank you so much 😊The multitool I carry, do not have a knife so that allows me to get through TSA with them however, however depending on the country you’re going to it may get confiscated. Now that TSA will allow you to carry a small big lighter. That’s always something I now put in my kit.💕😊 do you have some new things that I’m carrying that are pretty tiny and I will do a video on that soon💕😊
Where is the bigger bag from? It looks similar to a bag I use, but mine is actually a diaper bag. I didn't see any information posted on the bigger bag. Thanks
I just got that convertible backpack the other day but I've just been staring at it because I am not sure if the "backpack" configuration will be effective or comfy. How has your experience been wearing it packed up as a backpack?
So far I really like it however, getting it on as a backpack is a little tricky so I’m going to try to explain how I do it. Once I have the backpack strap configurations set, I pick the bag up by the short handles. I put one arm through a backpack strap and use the other arm to keep the bag over my head and then put the other arm in because otherwise once you get one arm in the backpack strap, it pulls and you can’t get your other arm into the other backpack strap., I know that sounds really convoluted. Maybe I should just make a quick short video on it.😊
It doesn't sound too convoluted, but I'd love to see that reviewed in a future video. One review on Amazon said she knotted the strap at the apex to prevent it from moving. I may try that and I don't plan to wear as a backpack all the time, but it is good to know the potential struggles. Thank you for responding so quickly! @@TheoryofSimple
"A maximalist trying to fit into a minimalistic footprint" - we are soul sisters, that is exactly how I describe myself
Lol! Yep!💕🤷♀️
Me too. Fist time I have heard that expression. It’s absolutely me.❤
I use a flat pocket made of silk that I carry around my hips under my clothes where I keep money, cards and passport (when I don't need to use them). It's my secret stash. Of course I use another wallet but with less valuables. Silk prevents me from sweating and this light pocket is easy to wash and dries in no time.
Very cool idea! Can you tell us where you got your silk pocket?🙏💕
Brilliant idea, thank you UK. E❤
You are definitely well prepared, and we are definitely cut from the same cloth! that’s in your EDC and giving us all some great ideas! 💕😊
I’ve got a two week trip scheduled for Europe soon (1st time) so I’m going back and rewatching a bunch of your other videos.

@@jenharvey3397 That is so kind and clever of you. Would love to know what you put in you little blessing bags for panhandlers and the homeless.
@@jenharvey3397 those are excellent ideas and thank you so much Jen for helping those who are less fortunate🙏💕😊
I love all the itty bitty things you find for your EDC bag. I bet you had a doll house as a child.
Thank you so much 😊 Lol! Unfortunately, we could not afford a doll house! But I did collect all these little things and keep them in my pockets💕😊
@@briannab5296 all excellent ideas! Thank you so much for sharing this with us😊💕
My standard items: a pack of kn95 mask, cotton bandana, a folding fan, 2 eyeglasses (sun and reading), painkiller, fisherman’s friend, gum, toothpicks, nail file, a small tin of homemade bug repellent/after bite ointment, spf lip balm, bluetooth transmitter for earphones, battery pack, charging cord, strips of moleskins for blisters, a reusable grocery tote.

Ugggg mosquitos - oh how I loathe thee! .. the official state bird of Georgia!!
@@briannab5296 yes, I agree they are miserable features! And I’m highly allergic to them💕
Fanny/sling tip!

I used my travel on crossbody bag twice in Europe. Leaving in two weeks and this time I’m bringing a Pacsafe sling.

Travelon is the best. I use them a lot when traveling.
Yes! Agree!😊
I like how you have everything organized. I love all your tips. Going to put some into use!
Thank you! So happy they’re helping you with your travel adventures😊
Thank you so much for your channel. I was telling my bf that you are a former ranger and how glad I am I found your channel!!
Thank you so much💕😊 a lot of my packing ideas, come from being a Ranger and having to live out of a backpack for a week or week at a time😊
I think that my favorite thing is that Travelon bag you show... it looks to be so versatile...
Thanks, Julie! If you’re nuts, I’m a bag of nuts!😂🤣
I’m a sucker for a good quilted bag! I think it’s such a classy look! I’d love to hear what you have inside of yours😊💕
I like the idea of the utility knife tool. I would think you'd have a hard time finding the blade outside of North America.
I think utility blade is pretty universal. Although even if you couldn’t find a blade, there are a couple of other things on the stool that work great like a Phillips head, flat head screwdriver, the hex nut bottle opener, and the measuring.😊
Love your videos..Helpfull as always...❤❤❤❤ 😊
Thank you so much💕😊
My Mom used to carry the little credit card magnifier in her purse. I have inherited it and I love it 🙂
Your mom is a smart woman!

Yay! I have never used that strap but it’s all nice to know that it’s there😊
Exactly maximist but packing like minimalist genius
Loved this kind of video, and your outfit colors so nice matched your backpack

Thank you so much 😊
I like especially all the little tools that you have those little tools that you also let us know where the other TSA approved or not so those are the best ones but I carry most of the same similar items and it does change from season to season so I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the same and carries important items
Thank you! Yes! My things change s bit depending on where I’m going, how long I’m staying and if I’m planning on traveling to other places during my trip!💕😊
Very practical! Love it
Thanks so much 😊
My LEATHERMAN PS was thrown away by TSA in my way back from SF! So it’s not always allowed.😢
Unfortunately, some TSA agents are like that but usually I pull up the Amazon link and show them that it says TSA approved and they let me get it through. However, every age is different.😊 so sorry you had to go through that
Fantastic!! I love the Travelon bag. I feel a bit more secure when I travel with mine.
Yes! Me too😊
I just saw the travel bag at the thrift. I better go pick it up!!😮
Yes! Just make sure all the zippers work and at the hooks for the straps are intact!💕😊
I really like the tsa multi tool gadget
It’s great! I use it all the time!
Love you content!

You had a pen. Where's your small pad of paper? That paper has saved me many times.
(I had to trim the back cardboard a bit so it would slide into the pocket)
I LOVE this thing!!
@@briannab5296 love the OG method! You can never go wrong😊💕
I keep a little 3"x5" field notebook in my EDC bag & use it a lot! Takes up hardly any space & I keep a couple of post-it notes in the inside cover

Great video love both those bags. Going to Vegas in Oct so very timely advice and I will take some tips from you. Thanks! 😊
Thank you and you’re very welcome and I hope you have a wonderful trip to Vegas!💕😊
Hi I’m looking for that night light you have had for 13 years
We are going to travel to Europe in Aug 2024

What size hero clip do you use to hang your bag in restrooms (if needed)?
For a purse I use the small hero clip, but for a backpack or my travel bag, I use the large one💕😊
You were always prepared, Jen! Thank you so much for sharing!💕😊
Wonderful tips! However, maybe I missed it, but where do you keep your passport? Thank you from Canada😊
Thank you so much 💕
When I’m out and about, I do not carry my passport with me and I keep it either in the hotel room stay for locked up in my suitcase. But when I’m traveling with carry-on, only, I do keep my passport in either my personal carry-on or in my vest pocket.😊💕
@@TheoryofSimple thank you so much and enjoy your next adventure!
@@taunyawren8020 yes! As a matter of fact, if you do need another bag on your trip, I use that bag is a Packing cube and put that in my luggage😊💕

Nice edc gear I’m guessing no knife in that multi tool a cigarette lighter is always good just in case
Thanks

Every Day Carry 😊
