This is the 3rd comparison video of your's that I've watched. Your comparison reviews are well done and relatively short--so are easily watched. Thanks from a new subscriber!
Hi
@kathewright5619! Thank you so much. Sometimes I worry that I might seem not friendly enough, but I figure that people would rather know the facts, so comments like yours really help!
British airways is actually very lax on their hand baggage sizes, despite what they post. I fly them multiple times a year and bring personal items that are almost as large as carryons. Ive never seen them stop someone for bag sizes. Great review, id love to see a review of Lovevook's actual personal item travel bag and its different sizes!
HI @cg-lk2bz. I was on BA in Nov-Dec and I took my Beis mini weekender as my personal item, and they were fine with it, but I was told it was because I was on Economy Plus, so it's good to know. I did a video of the 15" vs the 17" Lovevook personal item backpack. You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/AfZhYiwmgTI/w-d-xo.html Is there a different bag you were referring to?
This is what i was waiting for! Like it was what i am thinking when choosing between the two. Thank you!
Hi @cinderellallanto5630! Glad to be of help and happy travels! ✈✈
I recently purchased the 14" and the 15" to try for a flight we have coming up in May to London. I am liking the 15" better but haven't made up my mind for sure. I do like the look of these better than the more athletic/school looking bags. Great review; thank you.
Hi @pamelachappell1089. If it was me, I would check the carrier and if you can, go with the bigger one. I found that when you over-stuff the smaller one, you might run into trouble with the depth of the bag. London is my second home, since me mum is from there. Have a wonderful time and thank you so much for the feedback!! ✈✈
No one on TH-cam seems to address how easily the straps on a travel backpack adjust when you’re wearing it - either to loosen them or tighten them. I’ve been shopping sporting goods stores for a new backpack and this is one criterion that has wide variation. If I’m shopping online, I really want this information.
You make a very good point about the straps. I have worn several different backpacks over the years and there is a difference between how straps fit and how comfortable they feel, but you are right that they also need to be adjusted, too. btw, I ended up keeping the 17 inch bag and the straps are not bad. Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback!
I just bought the lovelook last night. I have 2 week long trips coming up, one cold weather. One beach-y. Im going to attempt this bag only. Wish me luck!
HI @paisleyhunter! How Exciting! Which size of the bag did you order? For some reason, this year, every time I go away, I keep having these mixed-weather trips. I feel confident if you pack in layers, you can do it! Have a wonderful and safe journey!! ✈✈
@PerriesPassport I got the 15.6 inch. Do you have a packing a personal item video? I'm nervous about this!
Hi,@@paisleyhunter Are you packing it for stuff you need on the flight, or are you packing it with clothing? If you are packing it just as a personal item bag for the flight, this video shows you how I packed the 15 inches.
@@PerriesPassport yes, clothes and everything. I'm flying allegiant
Hi@@paisleyhunter, Then this is not the bag for you. It is way too small. You want a bag that maximizes Allegiant's personal item size is which 18"X14" X8". There are several great choices out there. Would you like a backpack, a rolling bag or a duffle?
I have the larger Lovevook backpack in the same B&W stripe print and love it! It fits all my items and the material and hardware are high quality. I recently used it on a trip from the US to the Philippines on EVA Air. It didn't fit under the seat in Economy but it did in Economy Plus when I upgraded on the return flight. I don't normally use a backpack but this was pretty comfortable on my back, and the trolley strap came in handy to attach it to my checked bag. That said, I would advise against over-filling it with too much stuff!
Hi @lindadorman2869. EVA says that their personal size item is 16 x 12 x 4in , so even if you had gotten the 15" it still wouldn't have fit, since it's actual size is 12"L x 7.5"W x 16"H. That being said, I did take it on Jetblue and had no problem getting it under the seat. I agree with you with the over-filling! This bag does beg to be over filled!
Perrie, The difference I see in the two bags is the small one says it holds a 15.6" laptop and the larger one holds a 17" laptop. You may want to test those features. I too don't like backpacks even if they have a trolley sleeve.
"
Hi @gailstaton4350, I just tested my husband's 17" in both bags. You can squeeze in 17" in the smaller bag, but the very top of it will be exposed, which is not great, but it can be done. The larger bag has no trouble with the larger computer. So I guess it comes down to if you are looking for a bag that can get under the seat as a personal bag. I have tried other bags, and either they are on your carry-on (not optimal if you are dealing with stairs to the plane) or on your shoulder, which isn't great either. In that sense, a backpack like this makes sense if you are dealing with that scenario.
I have the 15” and love it!
Hi @user-iu9gj8yg9s. Can you tell me what airlines you have been able to get it on?
@@PerriesPassport Actually, so far I’ve only used it for short-term car vacations, but will use it when I fly in April and June. I always fly Delta. (These will be in-country flights.) also, I have no idea how I got that user I.d. My name is Westi. Follow you from Cincinnati.
@@user-iu9gj8yg9s Hi Westi, If I may help, you can change your user ID in settings. Btw, I just read an article in the Wall Street Journal, and many of the American carriers are counting cross-body bags, neck pillows and blankets as a personal item and Delta is one of them, so make sure you have a place for them in your carry on or personal item bag if you take them.
Thanks for the review.
HI @carolinagirl3110, Hope it helps!!
I have the larger of the two bags and when it is full but not stuffed at all, it does not fit under any United Airline seat. Just flew premium economy to London and it was sticking halfway out from under the seat. I was near the window. In other United flights in various size planes, it never fits under the aisle seat. I really need a bag that is roomy but fits under set the seat.
I know people who use the 15" one and get it under most seats, but I was considering using the larger one since it would work with BA. I have an Away Everywhere bag, but with the new restrictions that our national carriers came out within the last two weeks, maximizing the personal size bag is a must.
I love my lovebook bag it can hold a lot of stuff but just be careful some airlines have weight restrictions on carry on bags, I took this on our Israel, Rome, Philippines and it fits under the seat and I got the big one
Thanks for the info. Did you use only American airlines or other ones?
@@PerriesPassport I did used Philippines airline and Italian airline and it only weigh 9 lbs but too heavy to carry around.
@@user-qr5og5gg6i Thanks for the info! I know that non-US airlines have smaller personal item bags and it's good that you could get it on!
Like this video. Would love to see lovenook being carried by different hts. Im 5ft 70yo gonna be in europe. Can i use this small one comfortably?
Hi @salliestewart4713! I'm 5'7", too and I tested both the smaller on and the larger one and they both were comfortable full, but I tend to put these things on my carry-on. Sorry for not providing that.
Where did you get the very slim readers? I couldn't find a link if you had one.
Hi @adrianabrown1011! Sorry about that. These are my readers: amzn.to/43ubTnk. I will be including them in the lnks
I used mine with no problem.
Hi @nnajj01! Which size have you been using? The 15" or the 17"? Thanks!
