Even after physical death - Jagraj veerji still continues to teach/educate me is quite astounding. By starting Basics of Sikhi and uploading his discussions on TH-cam he has done the whole Sikh Panth a service, if there are more educated english speaking Gur Sikhs please help 'lost' sheeps like myself to learn more about my guru. Please join Basics of Sikhi or why not start your own channel to connect with the youth of today.

He was a great guy and missed not only by the Sikh community but for all people of understanding. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Issay....Saab ko mera Sallam.

Two observations:1) Through the course of the video, observe how it starts with sunlight being only on jagraj veerji (esp when he talks of the amazing opportunity the youth has to be candles in darkness, him being a super bright flame himself) and then, at the end , there being light all around. It was as if the nature around was listening with rapt attention too.
    2) Gurbaani teaches us that 'Guru ka Shabd' is eternal. Our guru, Guru Granth Sahib ji maharaj epitomizes that. Jagraj veerji, through his prachar, has brought this fact into public conscience again. Why? He (his prachar) will live as long as any storage device exists on this planet (don't forget the human brain when enlisting the devices with memory) :)

This is a must watch for every Sikh
those who think sikhi is just a religion and a spiritual path and not for SARBAT DA BHALLA ; the good for everyone those people has got the mentality of someone who just wants to fit in and feels they are like second class citizens . This and the situation of Punjab since the British were there has since put sikhi in decline even when inspiring sikhs like sant jarnail Singh Ji come along people look at them and see them as militants or terrorists not recognising they're trying to make sikhi happen and stand against oppression
Well sikhs of today's gen need to really find what sikhi really is as what it is currently is not fulfilling our global aim !

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave us the only eternal Guru to follow and that is SGGS. Everyone interested in Sikhi should read and understand it themselves. The first word in SGGS is Ek Onkar. The Satguru is the Guru of the entire creation and Satguru has no religion.
The Guru Panth is for political guidance only when needed and can’t ever contradict the philosophy taught in the Guru Granth. Beware of brainwashing from individuals with personal agendas and those who divide humanity in the name of religion!

He’s contradicting himself from what he had said many times beforehand, when he had claimed that Sikhs respect other people’s religions, and believe that all religions have a version of the truth within them, but that Sikhi has the ultimate truth.

Hes clearly trying to make a distinction between 'respecting other faiths and not trying to convert (if someone is already happy in their faith)' and 'preaching/teaching about Sikhi'.

i am categorized as hindu for believeing in ancient indian philosophy but I go to temples as a wwy to show respect to people who go there. i also find no reason in bowing to a book which is being revered as living guru. i find it overtly emotional thing and pointless . i however can go with a Sikh friend just to show respect to my friend not having any faith as such in the rituals of covering head, bowing to book etc. I also find it very shallow to absorb that all spirituality started just with 10 gurus. i dont find iany depth in it. Should I stop going to Gurudwara and make it transparent to my sikh friends why I can not visit Gurudwara. i tried it once and my Sikh friend felt hurt

What I don’t understand with this generation (my generation I believe) is; why is everything lead with what cast you are? The entire religion is based on equality, hence Singh and Kaur. Secondly, drinking until you black out. I know so many Sikhs that are literally at Gw Sunday morning with alcohol on their breath. Just don’t get it

  • @hadilyousaf

Real sikhis don't drink alcohol and don't eat pork but I have seen loads of proper singhs getting plastered
With liqure and eating pork and everything else that comes in their way. Most of the religions say you should not eat pork.

he didnt talk about the main problem- jatts- When jatts meet a good sikh they claim that sikh or they surround them selves around that person and make it a jatt affair. everythig jagraj is saying is normal. jagraj did not talk about the shaster vidya scrolls that guru nanak made and how all sikhs should be learning how to use weapons. how did sikhs in the past learn shaster vidya ? he also did not give his opinion on neo nihangs like nidar

    • @cowforces
      @cowforces 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Don't worry, our target is to bring them (Jatts) back to sikhi with love, if we keep sidelining them or blaming them for panthic problems none of it will get sorted out and this whole thing will become (worsen than it already is) an egoistical blame-war within the Sikh community.
Also, none of the *mentally sane* Sikhs should associate themselves with the Nidar group, everything that he does maligns Sikhi !! and if we talk about that guy - we malign ourselves in the process. It is a well known fact within the community that he (Nidar) is a fake sikh.

22:00 you are wrong about that part. that is totally wrong. sikhs don't take revenge. guru sahib never advocated sikhs to take revenge, Guru Sahib advocated justice. justice is what sikhs believe in and not revenge. you bring up Bhai Banda Singh Bahadur but he is a controversial figure in Sikh history, some of his acts are not seen in a positive light by sikhs. study what banda singh bahadur did and not all of the actions were righteous and he himself admit i am being punished for my own wrong doings but at the end of the day i am human and i accept my punishment for what i have done. he told this to the mughal administrator when he was being tortured. so yeah, you are wrong abut that. Guru Ji advocated Justice but never revenge.

@@jaipreetsingh6566 no it is not. that is totally wrong. justice and revenge are two totally different things. Revenge is about retaliation; justice is about restoring balance. The motive of revenge has mostly to do with expressing rage, hatred, or spite. ... In and of itself, it's not primarily about justice but about victims' affirming their inborn (but non-legal) right to retaliate against some wrong done to them.

You gotta read "Panth Prakash" to clarify your doubts regarding banda singh bahadur. All the controversy regarding Banda singh bahadur came after british especially after Indian independence. Plus you also need to study about 1st and 2nd ghallughara to see the Co-relation between Revenge and Justice. Raising a sword against the injustice or to prevent it from happening again is the righteous way.

Sat shree akal ji Saryan nu .... I agree that there is no harm spreading Guru Granth Sahib ji teachings, but i strongly disagree that Sikhs should not go to mandir and he quoted two shabad.. first Guru Gobind singh ji saying "tujhe Chad na aver k jau" who is guru Gobind singh ji referring "Tujhe" the supreme power the source of creation ek om akar and who has fixed the place that gurudwara is the only place where you can connect or get access with the supreme power, it could be mandir also just your intention matters, the second quote by bhai Gurudas ji ... so I think this is not from Guru Granth Sahib ji and not said by any of the 10 gurus, it is bhai gurudas ji personal opinion and it is from his other works which is called "Vaaraan bhai gurudas" (please correct me if I am wrong) . so it was his opinion not gurus .
I strongly oppose this mentality ki don't go there it is not our god.
I have listened dr zakir nayik and when he said don't go to mandir don't eat prasad there is no other god but Allah, I so hated him and see now I find we doing the same.
I proudly say in front of friends I am a sikh we never had this issue ki don't do go there it is not our religion. And remember Gurunanak dev ji was born in a Hindu khatri family so before sikhism there was akalpurak there was supreme power guiding people before also through hindu scripture bhagvad geeta, ramayan etc.
I just want to say be who u are sikh muslim hindu just be a good human being spread love peace.
Gurubaba ne to sab tera sab tera krk saccha sauda kr liya tha kyunki unhe hr insan me wahi akalpurak hi dhikte the or hum humare bhagvan ko Gurudware tk limit kr rhe hai .
Worship who so ever you want what ever way you want all are prayer reaching to the same source and will be answered 😊
