Actually, one of the simplest methods I'd think for 'capping' the economy would be to limit the maximum amount of gold per account. The closer the cap is to an amount actually obtainable by a normal person (5-10M?), the less inflation there can be. And they could also cap the amount of gold any account could sell on AH/day. They could limit the amount of gold transferable in trades between individuals too to limit 'grey' market transactions. I don't think Bliz. cares about overinflation.

MD, just clarifying something you mentioned. You spoke of a million peso bill and I believe you meant the mil peso bill the word "mil" means one thousand and not one million. There is no one million peso bill. That is based on 6 years living here in Mexico and you can check Wikipedia. So the inflation is not as out of hand as you may have thought.
They hack the forums (or run their own) to farm email addresses. From there, it's just a matter of a password reset. Beware of guilds that ask you to register on their forums. They could be looking for your emails. Never use the same address as you use on your game accounts if you ever do that. Make a gmail account.
I have no idea what you are talking about. They were NEVER going to buff legendaries, they said IF they would, they'd do it in 1.1 (the pvp patch, confirmed)

I don't think we'll see an MMO like UO anymore though, it lived in the infancy of the online era. So many things it did would never even be considered in a modern MMO. 'Tis a real shame. :(
There are always memory injections every time a packet is sent from your computer to whatever server you are connected to. If these injections don't match up (too many or too less) depending on the activities that are going on it could be investigated.. Nothing is undetected it's just a matter of patching and updating to remove addresses and such from the data storage (blocking/banning).
Kind of. Every move to remove gold out of the economy is kind of a tax to avoid hyperinflation (such as repairingcosts, using the blacksmith/jeweler and the "tax" blizz takes away from every auction).
Pay careful attention when the farmer says that his and other bots are detectable if Blizz wants to. This goes for every single bot for every game or program. There is no such thing as an undetectable bot/program/hack. It even is a small effort for a programmer to reverse engineer a bot and instantly can add a detection for the method that bot uses. Honorbuddy and other popular bots for WoW are actually not getting banned not because they are undetectable, but because Blizz allows you too.(money
I've been looking into this. It is not only Chinese running bots, a lot of Americans and Europeans are as well. You can make about 20 buck a day with each account. Apparently Hellbuddy was a good bot app, but it just got purged and the accounts banned. This is only good for Blizzard, as all those farmers needed to buy new copies of the game. This whole thing is a sick direction for video games to be taking. It's madness.

It's not just kids, and like I said it's people who have not got the time to play it through 4 times and farm levels, they maybe want to prepare for PvP but don't have the time. Why wouldn't he have multiple monitors? I have a total of 6 - 3 for eyefinity, and then another dual monitor setup and then a 46" up to a laptop for films
By having a his own ''Server'' (the computer machine) he can run allot of them without needing to run the game at full requierment, no need tu use graphic card or sound or whatever, he only needs a Bot that uses the datas of the game/blizz servers.

At the time you'd posted this, legal gold was worth $0.25 per 1m (1/40 of your rate), and as low as $0.10 per 1m from some black market sites (1/100 of your rate). Why would you expect people to pay 100 times as much? And now gold's down to $0.25 per 10m, which would be 1/400 of your going rate per 1m.

When hackers use stolen assets to buy games, surely the credit compagnies or paypal doesn't always know that the assets are stolen and must sometimes complete the payments. On top of that, I am assuming that they must have insurance for fraud. If someone knows plz let me know.

I like using windowed mode to browse AH, but I would give that up to stop botters..

Hey, have you heard of "D3 Max Out Turbo" (just do a Google search for it...)? There you will find a smart free video showing how to speed run Diablo 3. It made it possible for Pete to speed level through Diablo 3 and therefore max out his character very quickly. Hopefully it will work for you too.

I used to Bot before 1.4... it was quite easy: 1) build a barb with allot of GF and average radius 2)set it at a checkpoint ( favorite was Leoric's manor entrance) to the stairs which have 2 big pack of mobs between these 2 points 3) record the run with Mouse recorder 4) play it 5) made 7m/day 6) get ban because you are top 100 world Elite and mobs killed LOL
Blizzard did not increase the drop rate, they decreased the drop rate. Most of this video is incorrect. When Blizzard releases new patches they have ALWAYS decreased the drop rates. This helps increase the value of the item and also increase the cost for gold. And as far as the AH become flooding, well that was true, but in your video it wasn't taken into account that it would also be bought out almost instantly. Predictions are just predictions but through reasoning it should've been obvious.

And people's ignorance and bliss of they are safe little carebears in this time and age of society allows hackers to easily do their job, because people's sense of their small password being the best defense between hacked or not.

I wholeheartedly agree with you in that bots and people like this are ruining games. But im gonna make sort of a contradiction in that you cant let people ruin the game for you, so what ever makes you able to enjoy the game is what you should do. I feel that once a game is released it should be owned and controlled by the public, that could turn out very badly if it were true but in a naive sort of view that is how id like things to work, but that will never happen. Enjoy what you can attain.

The big problem with sets are the ones with weapons. They never have near high enough DPS to make them viable at this point.

I feel that once a game is released it should be owned and controlled by the public, that could turn out very badly if it were true but in a naive sort of view that is how id like things to work, but that will never happen. Enjoy what you can attain.
