well its not a bad game tbf. Its more about marketing, timing and monetization. Which were terribly executed. Neither me nor my gamer friends even heard about it until it flopped hard. And even if we've heard about it, the chance of buying it for 40$ would have been almost 0. Since the alternatives are better and cheaper / for free... Fun Fact: No Mans Sky feels like the exact opposite.

They don't have to look rich, clean or like they serve god or anything, they just need to be appealing in some way. These characters are straight up trash. They're objectively badly designed. They look like the ideas behind them were designed by a 7 year old and then were recreated by someone who gives zero fucks about the outcome. The realistic graphics and artstyle don't help that at all, in fact, they make it worse. If it at least had a more cartoonish and stylized art direction, it could at least be servicable, but it doesn't, so... In short, they look like garbage, and them being "pirates" or whatever doesn't excuse that.

I checked steam DB and Marvel's Avengers has 223 players on steam, while Concord has 147. You can't even buy Avengers for months now. Let that sink in.

The characters killed the game, but the maps still suck big time, visually I never played it lol. Why are games that rely on you playing the same 10 maps for 5 years, not making those maps beautiful? Where's the moody clouds and soft rain. Where's the glowing neon signs in a dark city. Where's the glowing fantasy forrests or colorful parks. Everything just looks so depressing man.

@13Kr4zYAzN13 Have you tried the game? It doesnt feel like a subpar experience to me... Ive played a few hundred hours of OW1/2 and paladins, in comparison to those, concord feels extremely polished, balanced, and responsive.
This aged very well considering that the game is being taken down and everyone's being issued refunds

Yeah Skull and Bones didn't take 11 years. My bet is that is was done by a skeleton crew in less than a year. You believe Ubisoft when they said 11 years of developement? When they also were yapping around saying it was the first 4A game and how their naval battle system was revolutionary? (Totally not a downgraded AC Black Flag knockoff they dug up from their old engine)
The characters killed the game, but the maps still suck big time, visually I never played it lol.
Why are games that rely on you playing the same 10 maps for 5 years, not making those maps beautiful? Where's the moody clouds and soft rain. Where's the glowing neon signs in a dark city. Where's the glowing fantasy forrests or colorful parks. Everything just looks so depressing man.
