@@Keldiur That’s true. It’s the video game equivalent of “keeping up with the Joneses” I’ve had clients who spend tons of money on cars and country club memberships all while the IRS is threatening to put a lien on their house because they are in so much debt and can’t pay their taxes.

In one month game will be dead for f2p leaving only whales (because once you maxxed your stuff games becomes boring insanely fast as you can't freely farm)

@@specificocean4176 I got an app for it but you can do a simple math in profile in the stats tap when you hover on the amount of games you played this season you'll find hours for each mode of play I'm not sure if you can see past season's but I remember mine cause I only started last year i finished the season with 569 and I'm almost at 400 this season

I’d argue your life is ruined when you drop 13k on a game. Either you don’t have that to spend, or that amount means nothing to you, in which case you’re blowing 13g just to ruin other people’s days for an ego boost.
Just simply burning the cash would be healthier for yourself, your opponents, and the quality of games as a whole. But what does my opinion matter? I wouldn’t spend this money even if I had it.
So I’ll just practice what I preach. Terra Invicta is coming out soon, and Brigador is a great game that’s like playing a Daft Punk cover … with mechs.
I love how theres a big "Recommendation" button when you get defeated. "Fork over more money to win"
Yeah, I haven't tried PVP yet, but I'm almost positive that if you click the Recommendation button, it will probably say something like level up or improve gear, or whatever the case is, and then when you click it, it links you to the shop.
The thing that depresses me most about this is that he (the guy who was laughing) didn't get there through grinding or playing the game, you just pump a bunch of money into it. The game aspect is no longer existent in the game.

This is such a weird mindset. If two people have a competitive game of something at an even level and with an even playing field, there's some satisfaction in the triumph there - you had no advantages or handicaps, and you came out ahead.
This situation, where it's so pay to win that money invested almost certainly dictates the winner, is more akin to a rich person laughing at poor people because they're not as rich as they are - *except* that those 'rich people' act like it's the case of an even playing field. I mean, if I got 44-0 in a game where I know I had invested thousands and my opponents had invested practically nothing, my mindset would be "the money did that" - I wouldn't at all think to be proud of a competitive victory.
Yeah and thats how the word *loser* got invented. Dont misunderstand these people really dont have rewarding lives thus they live in vr world to make up for it. Plus the other side of the coin for a streamer its really for views and having a laugh with the audience even it the joke is distasteful.

Teaming up to kill a whale in PvP reminds me a lot of teaming up to kill a hacker. You are fighting a losing battle and even a single kill feels like a massive success

I was playing a Roblox game set during the Napoleonic Wars. I was on Russia and there was a hacker on France that would run faster than anyone else, Sonic levels of zooming. He didn’t even shoot, he would just run around with an axe and annihilate people. He’d kill you faster than you’d even be able to react.
I was the last Russian alive and he was the last French. We were basically swinging at each other, I was trying desperately to dodge. My musket was out of ammo, I just had the bayonet. But then the hacker was running at me, we both made contact. But he died and I was barely alive, another swing and I would be dead.
It easily became one of my favourite gaming experiences. Happened years ago yet I can still remember it. Nothing brings more joy than being able to kill a hacker and having chat blow up with people both in shock and excitement.
I would absolutely love it if under the "recommendations" at 6:07 that shows up after someone defeats you, the game just redirects you into the cash shop with a credit card information section pulled straight up on screen.

Android games/apps are notoriously easier to hack than windows or Mac applications.

Celtic Heroes is made by a really small company in comparison, so hackers will get away with more because the company won't be able to fix things fast enough.

The paragon thingy is there to help stabilize the power level (combat rating) in a server. So "hopefully" everyone is on the same playing field. Because in MMO, being early is very advantageous. The latecomer needed that XP boost to catch up to the early birds.
I miss the old d2 4v4 duels when you had a a barb, Druid, Nec and sin on 1 team. So much strategy and skill in that pvp
What I learned today:
1:Diablo Immortal punishes players who play a lot but spend no money.
2:It rewards people who don’t have much time to play but want to spend tons of money and annihilate all enemies.😂

After Diablo Immortal I was actually surprised to see people expecting diablo 4 to be any different. People cannot be this naive.

It's crazy they literally added a mechanic the prevents you from power farming, just so it is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to catch up to people who spend. Not even just whales, even someone who drops a couple hundred has an advantage over you, and you literally cannot grind enough to overcome that. It's already impossible to catch up to a whale in most pay to win games, but I don't think I've ever seen such an obvious attempt to kneecap free players to keep the whales ahead. Wild.
@@VAFranky You could get to whale level if the end game content would be stale, but that's never the case in those games because they always create new endgame content for whales so they spent more and more and you are just getting further and further behind them instead of getting closer.
and that type of thing without money in the equation could be like a nice 'rested XP' to prevent people from burning themselves out too much.

This happened in almost every mobile game that launch in Asia. I played RoX before and there's 2 guild that people called "whales only" and every single guild war everyone else just fought for third place because those 2 guild just bulldoze everyone else in seconds.

I never played D2, but between D3 and Immoral, D3 is far superior. Plus Grim Scythe is not a goddamn cooldown skill in 3. If I had known Necromancer lacked a melee Primary in Immoral I never would have tried them. And it felt like crap. What version is everyone else playing? Because for me, the PC version felt and looked like crap.

I'm not ashamed to say I've probably spent around 300 dollars on Apex Legends over three years in order to get some really cool legendary skins for my characters, plus the wraith heirloom knife, but none of it affects gameplay at all. It isn't that high of a price to pay considering I've gotten close to 1,000 hours out of the game, which is about 9x the length of Elden ring, which is a full priced $60 game, so if you factor in the time, the amount of money I've spent on Apex per hour is actually less than the vast majority of full priced games.
There's a huge difference between F2P with paid cosmetics, and pay to win garbage like this game.

Just buying a few blessing of the welkin or whatever it's called and doing all the free events is enough to get you quite a few 5 star characters. You don't even need the 5 star characters unless you want to do high level abyss runs and even then you could probably make a good 4 star team by now. You can get plenty of 5 star characters without spending any money, but with Diablo Immortal? You might not get 5 star gems even after spending thousands? This is just sickening. I hope this causes the EU to take action.
Let's be honest here, if it looks better than D2/D3 on paper in terms of sales, Wyatt Cheng is going to have a pat on the back and a huge bonus from the HQ. And the P2W cycle is going to continue. It really wouldn't matter if the community or these big streamers are throwing bunch of shade at Blizzard right now.

Once a company like Blizzard reaches the size that it does, they simply abandon their roots in favor of embracing the lowest common denominator in gaming, and catering to the most casual whale gamers that there are. It doesn't matter that their entire core fanbase has already abandoned them, because there will be thousands of doofuses and streamers like Rich Campbell who more than make up for the dozens of fans who leave them behind.
There will never be another 10/10 game like Starcraft 2 to come from Blizzard ever again. It's all going to be gacha mobile dogshit from here on out. Indie games and independent studios are where all of the real gems in gaming are now, aside from a few studios like FromSoft, for instance.

the 44-0 reminded me in neverwinter as a hunter ranger, its a p2w yet I didnt had to drop a dollar because the skill gap on the class was big and the character so good I was killing all these people with thousands in the game

Its impressive that they put in this much effort to make being a free to play player a pain in the ass in the end game. Imagine if they put this effort into the gameplay and quest designs.
Because it's more profitable to make a game that only appeals to those who you know are going to drop 10 grand simply to be stronger than everyone else. They gain nothing from appealing to the players that have no intention of spending money. The only reason the game is "free to play" is to pull in a bunch of minnows for the whales to feed on that way they have a reason to actually spend money on the game.
It is funny to think that the streamer probably steam rolls normally with having spent maybe 700$ and then gets pissed when he runs into a oil prince or whatever

With Diablo 3, all you could spend on the game was 60$ on release, after the AH was removed. In that game, every individual player was worth 60$ to Blizzard. Now, they're in a market where someone can spend 70,000 on a character, and be worth over a 1,000 people who just pay normally. Why would you cater to 1,000 people who don't pay when you can cater to each a-holes who spend out the wazoo?

There is a tips. Collect Dust at Elder rift then use that dust go and buy trader for 22 FA runes. Go craft at jewelry at random 1-5 star gem. I luckily got Howler gem (3star) from craft. But not suits for me because that is for Demon hunter. I am Barbarian user.

when you spend 40 dollars and you're looked at a free to play player we need to rethink wtf is going on in our community.
Well like up to 60 dollars and you just "bought" the game. So in that sense I would consider it still free to play. But when you go above a normal game price your starting pay to win. Unless of course the things you buy dont affect the gameplay but are cosmetics, emotes or what ever.
Have to remember that every f2p are there to make money. So instead of paying before you are guided to support the game and in worst scenario your lead to p2w and constant money spending. Month after month.
Sadly I think more and more games (That aren't made by smaller devs) will start implementing systems like this.
