Imagine a future where we go to the doctor with a list of symptoms, and we leave with a prescription of foods to eat or stop eating for a specific period of time.

I love this and I think a huge part of this is encouraging people to see people that study and focus on foods. Doctors are trained in, mostly, pharmaceuticals and medicines. With perhaps a small time spent on basic nutrition. Instead of saying I'll go to the doctor, let's start saying I'll go to a nutritionist, or I'll go to an integrative doctor, or I'll go to a holistic gut specialist. Doctors have their field and it certainly isn't food

First time hearing Mindy speak and got some great takeaways from it. The best comment for me was, “ WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS TO HELP WOMEN WHO HAVE NO MONEY “, absolutely brilliant and needs to be shouted from the roof tops
I listen to a lot of videos etc on health and are fortunate to be able to buy good quality food etc and supplements , choosing to go without other unnecessary “ things” to do this and I’m sure many can’t, let alone pay to wear monitors or have expensive testing done. We must make good health available for EVERYONE! 🥰

I love what you both are saying about the social media health influencers. With my own journey of healing through fasting and proper diet I’ve totally learned to trust my body rather than any trend or influencer. I feel like the competition amongst influencers feels the same as and just as toxic as the money driven aspect of western medicine and makes me not trust what they are hyping up. Thank you for your integrity in simply wanting to help people be healthy and not caring about what others are saying.

This is so important especially for women in _menopause_ .
Craving for carbs - > mostly estrogen is missing in the body. Body is saying: give me xyz because I need to built estrogen.
    Or same for progesterone too.
I am diving into phytohormones and why am I craving for some specific foods. I am always asking why I have a hunger for something and I research a lot in every corner of the internet.
And men get into a different kind of menopause also. Men get an estrogendominance as well, like the huge bellyfat. They have to take care as well.

    • @Lurexa.Chamaechorie

@@cinuk that's right. It's actually a bit hard to write as foreign speaker those terms. But if you go into it deeper, you can find that a lot of carbs has more estrogen based and some have both, and others have progesterone bio identical hormones. Or are alike. So the body can produce what's missing currently.
Maybe the 'words' in have a different spelling in Englisch, I am using the German word.
There is 'Beta-sitosterol', '2-6- Dimethoxybenzoquinone', 'Brassinolide', 'Estriol' , 'Estrone' 'Luteolin', 'Rutin', 'Triterpenglykoside' which are more estrogen alike.
For progesterone are: ' Diosgenin', 'Pyridoxin' & 'Stigmasterol'.
There are 'antiprostaglandin', which are anti-inflammatory.
You really have dig into each carb on.
I am very sorry, this is very difficult to explain it in English, but I hope you can get a bit of it.

@@cinuk while it's true that folks in this sector of social media just say "carbs," typically it is implied that those familiar with this type of content already understand that the word "carbs" is used to describe the so-called "bad carbs," as to avoid constantly saying "good carbs/bad carbs" etc etc etc... it's similar to folks saying "q-tips" for any random brand of cotton swabs, "Kleenex" for any brand of facial tissue and so forth. Not so great for those new to this type of content or folks who take everything literally at face value tho, but there are a plethora of other videos from this lady (and others) where she does specify for newcomers.

      @Lurexa.Chamaechorie 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

BhI never said anywhere to not eat carbs. That's a huge misreading of my comment.
And I am not saying good and bad carbs either. It's just carbs. Every human being has to decide themselfs which one is good and bad for their individual bodysystem. Please keep that in mind.
And there are a lot of more people who are much smarter on that subject as well, I am aware of that. I'm just a fan of sharing information. So everyone use it or leave it.
      Take care. 😊

We've gotten too polite too PC for anyone's good. So much time at the beginning spent ' I am not disempowering women' that it's silly. why? Cause if that's what people extract from this brilliant woman then that's on them. Dr Mindy should not have to reiterate every time on a show that she is doing this and sharing this for the benefit of women. Let's get over our sensitive selves and be free in speaking and stating. We don't need 15 mins buffers for the trollers and negative Nelly's.

It’s important to consider calories just as information and consciously decide what type of information you want to put in your body because there are some ‘calories’ that are like empty books and they do nothing but clog up the shelf ,in this case the body in turn taking other recourses or energy to process said ‘calorie’/information

If anyone takes what she is saying as disempowering then they are the problem and it’s something in their subconscious programing that is fearful of letting go
What she is saying is actually quite empowering to dial in and tweak or even over haul your system
I’ve been doing it somewhat blind but have been very suspicious and convinced that a lot of our issues especially after the age of 40 are hormone relate and that goes for men and woman. I wish there was some way I can help educate on this topic at least from the stand point of bringing awareness to the reasons why ‘the house of cards are falling’ because that’s how it felt to me but I equated it to PTSD (which it is but I believe hormones were the catalyst to sound the alarm that an old way of surviving isn’t working)
I have been meaning to get her book but on a fixed income I have had to spend it on targeting (experimenting) supplements
I have been taking Gabba starting 10 day after the start of period until the start of next..does that work/help the same as if I took Progesterone to help with Estrogen dominance?

Doing your own research to find what your own personal physiology needs or is lacking can change your life. Be curious, look for information, do trial and error until you get trial then success.
A twist to this is that your physiology will change so being in tune is crucial.
Modern medical care is more about $$$$ than it is about staying healthy. Big pharma's allure which leads medical people to prescribe their cleverly concocted meds that often make the patients dependent on prescriptions for the rest of their lives.
The monetary kickbacks every time a prescription is filled or refilled keeps doctors recommending medications. Many doctors are just as much conspirators as they are helpless as they can't buck the system enough to make a difference without facing the possibility of losing their job or their license to practice or both.
Research your body. Dig deep. Make the necessary changes. Reap the benefit.

there are women who are naturally more emotionless then men and vice versa.
