    Yes, It Works!!!
I must admit I didn’t think that could be my case a reason to not be able to boot. I spent so much time to investigate the possible reasons - Incorrect Boot Order (Device Priority), Wrong Boot Mode (Legacy/UEFI), Wrong Connection Mode (IDE/AHCI) but everything seemed normal…and finally came to your video for a BCD. I made all your required changes and I was astonished! Yes, It has Worked! It is still a little foggy for me so I have to go in more deep to clarify this issue for myself.
    Thanks a lot!!!

There are 2 factors that could cause this error: 1. the bcd file was not successfully cloned to your new drive, or your new drive is a GPT drive. You can contact us at support@easeus.com and we can help you troubleshoot and fix this error.

I've already converted the newer M.2 to MBR through Command Prompt but when I finished cloning the previous OS, it went back to GPT and I'm getting the error "The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Hi, what if I have multiple partitions on my system disk, one is without letter (ESP) and the other is C: and my system is having "partition=\Device\HarddiskVolume2" as device in Windows Boot Manager. But the device and osdevice in Windows Boot Loader are both "partition=C:"

      @EaseUS-support  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Can you please first check if your drive is an MBR or GPT drive? Both device and osdevice in Windows Boot Loader should be directed to the Boot Partition of your drive, in most cases it should be partition C: The device in Windows Boot Manager should be directed to the System Partition of your drive, it could be also partition C: or a separate small partition. You can check these information in Disk Management.

My conputer laptop (Dell 7570 2in1 Windows 10) still won’t boot. After i upgraded my SSD into a larger one. I cloned it using Macrium reflect 8. Then i was trying to use my larger SSD and installed it into my laptop. The computer did not boot. I then installed back my older smaller Ssd. Tried to check the problem, diagnosed it, reset settings.. and for some reason now. It totally won’t boot. I’m stuck in this rebooting phase.
I did check my computer as well with F12 and everything is good. Except for the battery.
My initial plan was to upgrade my SSD into 1tb, also i added 16gb RAM, then a new battery. So far i only installed the RAM and SSD. But i’m stuck in this part my computer won’t boot anymore. Plsss help!

I had a non-booting cloned disc problem using Disk Genius. I didn't know about this solution. After attempting to fix the cloned drive, I gave up and re-cloned using the automatic boot option. The problem seems to be fixed. By the way, what cases this error? Is it random?
And a slight quibble: Easeus states the clone option is free, but after you've taken time and care to set it up, the system presents you with a pay screen. It's a form of sneaky deception: Easus should be upfront about charges.

I couldn't use your technique because my cloned drive kept giving "access denied" responses. However, you gave me the idea to use a recovery disk and the startup command prompt to fix my issues.
I recently converted my OS hard drive from MBR to GPT and setting my motherboard to UEFI created a boot file with device partition=HardDriveVolume2 under {bootmgr}. I was able to set the partition to the correct drive and now the system automatically updates if I change the main hard drive connection on my motherboard. Frustrating that one line of code could cause so much trouble.

You wouldn't normally have two Active System partitions on the same compter at the same time, so this would affect the drive letter on the boot drive. For example if you are replacing your drive with a cloned SSD the drive letter would change after you remove the old drive thus affecting the assignment in BCD.

After buying diskcopy and trying to copy a large HDD to smaller SSD from another computer -- IE Diskcopy is licensed on Computer 1 and I take a fully working HDD from computer 2 and clone using a double drive dock from Source to Target - The clone never worked. AFTER asking for a refund (which I never got) - Got someone at EASEUS who in less than 5 minutes managed to correct the issue with a few commands --- HOWEVER - unfortunately since I have no idea what was done - there is no way to do it again.
After back and forth -- the tech from EASEUS did allow me to get a partionmaster pro lifetime license -- which was a compromise that I was not thrilled about - but accepted -- since the claim was that the new disk works -- (that is correct - since he fixed the issue) -- but I tried again on my own as a test and of course it did not work
Since this is a similar set of instructions -- can you please make a video with more details
I was given the following info/commands
    diskpart
assign letter k to system partition
    exit
bcdedit /store k:\efi\microsoft\boot\bcd /set {default} device partition=d: D is the boot parititon on the cloned disk
    bcdedit /store k:\efi\microsoft\boot\bcd /set {default} osdevice partition=d:
I have not tried this for fear of messing up my current PC
And -- unfortunately on reboot -- after I removed the cloned drive - I got a blue screen and after a few minutes -- windows 10 seemed to correct itself and rebooted normally
Can you please elaborate or help on this issue
I am sure that you will want o help on this since it does apply to your own software
    Help Please
PS -- we all are aware that Diskcopy is not free -- while there are some free things out there -
Also - The clone feature is available in PartitionMaster Pro -- (a good little program)

U mean u can now disconnect the First drive from ur pc. C drive. Meaning now it will boot from I: drive. But will I:drive bee automatically show back to C: drive after start up? Or will it still be names I: Plz help

It means you can disconnect the old drive from your computer and boot from the cloned drive. In most cases, if the cloned drive can be bootable, the system drive will be changed to drive C: automatically after you boot from it.

RAW partition usually means the file system of this partition has been damaged. Generally, you can use Diskpart to format this partition back to NTFS, but it will delete all the files in this partition. Diskpart cannot directly fix the RAW error, but you can come to our LiveChat to get the assistance from our tech support to fix an error like that.

Why not do a "shift restart" after cloning the C-drive to the I-drive to get in the starting menue where you can set the I-drive as boot drive. After a restart the C and I drive will have swapped position. The C-drive will now be the cloned one with all correct settings. The I-drive will have incorrect settings, but that drive will be cleaned and used for other purposes most likely.

    • @EaseUS-support
      @EaseUS-support  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Generally if the BCD information on the target drive is incorrect, you will have a boot error when you shift restart yoour drive.

Go to control panel, Power Options, "Choose what the power buttons do," "Change Settings that are currently Unavailable," and uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended). That might work for you too.

hi guys, it's not working for GPT type. you need to convert GPT to MBR drive. clean your clone drive, repeat to clone your drive after convert to MBR via diskpart command.
    enter CMD admin
    > diskpart
    > list disk
If your new drive is 0 then:
    > select disk 0
remove all data on drive 0 / selected drive then convert to MBR:
    > clean
    > convert mbr
then repeat to clone old disk to new disk with a tool (macrium reflect free)
after clone, and change Boot priority in BIOS, then you should not to change BootMgr from BCDEDIT command
