For anyone who wondered where I was: I’m very sorry for the lack of uploads this year, I had to take a break to focus on my final year of university. Now that’s over, I’ve got A LOT more time to focus on making videos before I start my PhD project in a few months, during which I’ll still be making videos so don’t worry! Until then I have the summer to make a bunch of videos so let me know in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions for what kind of mathematically correct videos you’d like to see going forward! Also, I was going to start a week or two ago, but I had a seizure. It has really messed up my back and took away all my energy so I wasn’t able to record until now, so again I am sorry for the delays, but we should be back on track now! Thank you so much for sticking with me!
@@geschichteanimiert3365 I've got a bit more energy now but my back still isn't right, I'm not sure what's wrong with it but at least I have an appointment to look into it... sadly I assume it's going to be a long, drawn out process...
The mad lad did it, and it looks simple, because it actually fits the game in whole. You know me, it's hell to get to level 5, but then it's gg ;p I have to agree with strat in general and the bosses specifically, even without the numbers. It's preferable to minimize fighting and get to level 5 in a hurry and, except maybe gob camp's trio, with the prof being +3 we can go hunt the thorms with cha and dex, arm up, and then on level 6-7 run everyone down like it's a parade. With that and solving moonrise and last light in we should be getting to lvl 8 aligning towards the Mausoleum. lvls 10-12 "Suck it up and finish levelling" - c'mon, fighting steel watchers on rooftops while repositioning like it's the Matrix is a lot of fun.
Yeh completely agree, speed run getting to lvl 5 then it's smooth sailing from there! Hahaha I'm sorry it might be fun but you know I'm right! Especially with how the numbers look! 😂
@@ben5056 Yeh I'm normally about the same, I'm thinking of planning a speed route, do you think that would be interesting? Idk how accurate I could get it tho
@@ben5056 takes me act 1 in full to lvl 7 as well. Also, I'm not talking about speed run - my fastest run is 30ish hrs, I like the RP and the fighting, but I refer to e.g going to act 2 on lvl 3 for equipping.
I did not check this out, but do you say, that the amount of XP got, is dependent on your level? I would have thought, that when I go back to say I am lvl7 and kill a boss in the initial area, I get the same amount of XP than when I killed it at lvl 2? Or do enemy levels scale with your own level? (I did not check this either, I expected that in one area, the enemy level is independent of your own level) Oh, I have seen now some of the other comments and they suggest, that the enemy level is fixed and the amount of XP is regarding the enemy and not your level. While this video is interesting, because of this, the applicability is limited. It just makes no sense to kill enemies of a different level than what you currently are able to, because lower levels will bring you too small gains and higher levels might be to difficult. Also I normally do not sort enemies by boss level and decide than who to kill. Either it makes story-wise sense to go into battle or not -- and if I am underpowered or it does not make sense, I do not attack.
Yeh very sorry about the inaccuracy in the video, the way it was written it did appear to be player XP but I was wrong, thanks for reading the other comments, they always have another point of view or knowledge on those stuff and I’m thankful for that Yeh you summed it up well for a lot of players, does this fit nicely for story? Can I physically beat the thing? If yes, ATTACK! I guess this does confirm that it might be worth skipping a bunch of low level enemies to go for the harder but more XP ones (especially since theres SO much XP throughout the game) (Sorry for the delayed response, its been a very busy weekend 😅)
@@DwarvesAndDice You are right. I also skip content. When I don't like some content, I skip it, when I have reason that it is not needed story-wise and it does not give too much XP overall. But I must admit, that in BG3 the story is so tight, that you seldom find such content/quests. For example Rolan. Seems to be a total side character and I just skipped him basically in my first playthrew, only to find out, that he plays some role in Act 2+3 again and is rather important for at least one achievement too.

No you're right, the way it's written on the wiki is a little misleading, suggesting it to be player level but you're right it is ENEMY level for sure! Although a good bit is still applicable, sorry for the confusion!
@@DwarvesAndDice I only thought this due to remembering everytime someone kills Raphael early it’s 1400 xp, while I think I went to withers tomb area at like level 4 and got the same 50 xp or whatever
