100% agree. I picked up the same model at a _crazy_ price thanks to covid-19. It's hands down the best bike I've ever owned and I've owned a few. (Suzuki RGV 250 [it's my fav ever bike], Ducati 748, Honda 1000RR, Yamaha MT07, Yamaha MT09 & Aprilia Tuono RR). The BMW s1000r is an absolute rocket. Loads of torque and unless you have sponsors on your leather, its got more than enough power for us mortals.
I have the 2014 model, in red. And since then I have been in love with this beast. This bike has all the presence that the new generation lacks.
My 2019 S1000R M package (M colors) is amazing, and you're right, the Brakes on this bike are the best I ever had on any bike. And the Torque, you can leave it in 6th Gear all day and roll out with ease. And for 2019 all the Bugs and Gremlins have been worked out of this engine by now...Love it !!

I actually just picked one up this past weekend. Only had 25xx miles on it
I’m a very proud owner of one of these it is the best bike I ever owned after riding for 41 years, problem is it’s so good I don’t think I can replace it unless the all new 2021 is even better.
I purchased a new 2019 left over BMWs1000r hp in white, in the end of February 2020. And I paid around 14k after my trade in, out the door for around 5k. I think its the best purchase for the money, compared to other bikes in its class from the big 4 out of Japan. Before my purchased I priced insurance for all of the bikes in its class and the BMWs1000r was around 700.00 cheaper for me, than the competitor in its class. I only look at new bikes. And I live in the north east.
Could not agree more. I have a 2019 plus a 2020 Hayabusa which is also a left over bike now and a torque bargain 😆

@@demonstration9191 Yep traded a 2017 FZ-10 for 8k and gave 5k cash. I actually put about 9k miles on it, sold it for 11k and bought another MT-10. Just like it better.

I bought a super duke r same gen as this bike for $8000....... on my duke the wind was ok up to 160kmh upright. Then it was good tucked up to 280kmh on autobahn. This should be good "upright" to at least to 200kmh. Best naked is gen 1 1290 super duke r for $8000.
What happen to your models? Did they catch covid?
HA!! im not gonna do the model thing regularly.... it was a fun experiment, most vids wont have one, but ill sneak in a few here and there for sure i promise!
