Sorry to hear Paul about your Arm, I guess we are both out of commission had a similar accident 3 days ago happened to me but I have been working on my engine somehow the fan belt grabbed my sleeve of my shirt Left arm pulled me into the engine I got 3 Stiches in my left thumb and 6 Stiches in my Left Wrist, my Wife came out and said you broke your transmission line it's dripping red fluid badly I said that's not my line, I'm bleeding, call EMS , My friend next door is a retired Army Vet Surgent , he saved my life 3 days ago, as my Veins came out of my wrist. 👍
Just to be clear, it's okay if you break your arm or even if you don't break your arm and you're hurt to say that you're hurt. It's also okay to cry. You don't have to suck it up and carry on. Real men Do cry

The self tapping screws purchase bone best with about 1 1/2 threads proud : not enough to irritate soft tissue or tendons except in rare cases . He will probably only be casted 3-4 weeks , then only a brace , because the plate strength

Sorry to see that Paul. I broke the same bone on labor day and I'm going in for surgery this week. This video made me feel like I'm not alone. I've been feeling pretty down since it happened just grieving our lifestyle. Sucks that happened but I'll be healing right with you!

I was injured in a motorcycle accident at age 25, I shattered my leg and wrist. 2 years ago a car drove into the back of my car, it tore all the ligaments off my shoulder. So, I know your pain. I spent my shoulder recovery time watching you and Matt, it took my mind off the pain.I wish you a swift recovery and take it easy. Thanks for the shirt and gloves..
and this is why i do not use the 2-10 positions on a steering wheel in ANY car never put your thumbs through a steering wheel even a pot hole in a normal road can snap your arm... paul just do the fans a favor.. Take things easy let it heal right before you push yourself again !!!
Ok, expert driving instructor what is the correct holding pattern for a steering wheel, on any normal road you are not going to get jolts and vibrations and severe smashing like In a demo derby competition.
Another good reason not to use 10 and 2 holding the wheel is if you get in an accident and the air bags go off you have a greater potential of breaking arms or your arms smacking you in the face breaking your face. They don't recommend 10 and 2 anymore, they recommend 9 and 3 or even 8 and 4 to keep your arms clear of the air bag. 10 and 2 was taught before airbags were a thing. Google it.

Today, my wife tripped coming into the house today and broke the ball joint off in her left arm, and she goes to surgery at 2 pm tomorrow. Prayers for a speedy recovery, Paul.
Hope you heal up quick. I broke my arm in middle school,and I spent about 2 moths wearing a sling.(luckily,it was my right arm, and I'm left-handed.) That was over 25 years ago,but I still remember it vividly.
Good luck healing. For most folks we think we are indestructible in our 20's. Somewhere in our 30's we learn that we ain't. When you make your living by using your body you gotta learn real quick hobbies like that have to stop. Especially when you have a family that depends on you working. I noticed some of the screw appeared to exit the bone, does that tend to cause muscle agitation later on?

Adrenaline is one hell of a drug. I didn't feel too much pain when I snapped my humerus until I was at the hospital about an hour later.
Lots of masking adrenaline during an event like that.

Hey Paul, all my best to you and your family. I was injured in a motorcycle accident at age 25, I shattered my leg and wrist. 2 years ago a car drove into the back of my car, it tore all the ligaments off my shoulder. So, I know your pain. I spent my shoulder recovery time watching you and Matt, it took my mind off the pain.I wish you a swift recovery and take it easy. Thanks for the shirt and gloves..

and this is why i do not use the 2-10 positions on a steering wheel in ANY car never put your thumbs through a steering wheel even a pot hole in a normal road can snap your arm... paul just do the fans a favor.. Take things easy let it heal right before you push yourself again !!!
Ok, expert driving instructor what is the correct holding pattern for a steering wheel, on any normal road you are not going to get jolts and vibrations and severe smashing like In a demo derby competition.
Sooo, how often do you expect the steering wheel to catch your thumb and toss your arm into the window frame while you drive to work or 7-11?

Another good reason not to use 10 and 2 holding the wheel is if you get in an accident and the air bags go off you have a greater potential of breaking arms or your arms smacking you in the face breaking your face. They don't recommend 10 and 2 anymore, they recommend 9 and 3 or even 8 and 4 to keep your arms clear of the air bag. 10 and 2 was taught before airbags were a thing. Google it.

Wishing a full and speedy recovery to you Paul. Saw your broken arm on Robbies channel first, but had to wait till you put it out to comment. Seeing the slow motion twist made my arm hurt. l have to say you are one tough dude to just laugh about it.
Today, my wife tripped coming into the house today and broke the ball joint off in her left arm, and she goes to surgery at 2 pm tomorrow. Prayers for a speedy recovery, Paul.

@JoseOrtiz_1416 My wife came home yesterday with no surgery. The surgeon said the bones are in line, so there is no surgery.
So... For the next couple of months, Paul, you are "THE" designated camera man! Glad you are on the mend.
That track is far too concerned about a little bit of dibree. It is a demo derby. Parts are going to break off. Just keep it going.

Hope you heal up quick. I broke my arm in middle school,and I spent about 2 moths wearing a sling.(luckily,it was my right arm, and I'm left-handed.) That was over 25 years ago,but I still remember it vividly.
Glad to see the injury was not worse. I wish you an expeditious recovery! I love all of y’all’s content.
Good luck healing. For most folks we think we are indestructible in our 20's. Somewhere in our 30's we learn that we ain't. When you make your living by using your body you gotta learn real quick hobbies like that have to stop. Especially when you have a family that depends on you working. Best of luck to you during your recovery.
