My dad used to say, the only 2 good things that came out of Detroit was the Ford Thunderbird and Bob Seger. Obviously thats his opinion but I do know for a fact I'm here today because he had a 78 tbird and my mom had a 79🤔

Wow, the way you guided Grayden through that race, I respect that so much. Telling him that if you yell at him, you're not, you're just encouraging him. And then offering positive reinforcement throughout the whole race. And how you were with him in the car, not just on the sidelines. You provided the perfect balance of excitement but also calmness, which is such a good quality to have as a parent/coach/mentor. I wish I had that when I was growing up!

One of my earliest memories is watching demolition derby with my Dad. He wasn't allowed to drive, due to a heart condition, but he built the cars with his auto club buddies. Early 70s...those were some solid old wrecks....
In reference to the "do you want to see more content like this?", heck yes! I grew up going to derbies but never in one. I've always searched for a channel that did some behind the scenes work to build a derby car but have never found anything. I'm all for more derby content!
This is so cool to see it as a family event. That look on Paul's face when he first fired that engine was priceless. There is nothing like starting up a pre ran car. Keep it coming!
This truly brought a beaming smile to my face and tears to my eyes. I use to build with my granddad when I was young. So happy to watch the smiles on the faces of your family working and playing together. Thank you Cox family!
This might have been my favourite video yet! Watching the boys thrive from the experiences and opportunities they have with a father who can teach them valuable skills while also having fun is awesome. Family done right, well done guys.
Just got done watching and you said it better than I could have. Out of all their videos I've watched, this is by far my favorite. What an awesome dad and family.
I love how you spend time with your sons, teaching them a trade, how to have good, clean fun, and lead them by example. Sadly, there aren’t too many other young men in today’s culture as blessed as you and yours.
To take a trophy at the races, then have your sons both take a trophy, is simply outstanding. You are one very lucky dude. Keep up the great work, and good luck.
I'm with you Paul, watching the boys was the highlight to the whole thing. I enjoyed watching immensely. Thank you for sharing the passion with your kids.

Well... this is a build video also, kind of, if doin' body work with a tractor bucket and an 8 lb sledge hammer is still called "Body Work???" I'll have to admit though, I've never seen a body shop start the job, cleaning out the interior with a garden rake! Maybe this is "Basic Body Work." You have to put away the tractor-assist when you get into "real" body work. 🤣👍
As an old race car driver, I know the feeling of winning your first race. To see Grayden’s face light up when he won, brought that feeling back. He will cherish that day forever.
What a show of family fun and unity. I appreciate you and your crew's example of moral and spiritual values. God Bless. I'm an 81 yr old retired minister who's always been hooked on cars. Racing, demoing, restoring, etc.😊
Watching the pure joy in Paul’s face when he started his car and drove it out defines who and what he is. Joanne and I had a great time watching a derby build. And then watching Paul and the boys race was choice.
Grayder is an absolute beast! Landon and Jace remind me so much of my boys who live and breathe motocross it made me miss them more than I usually do. You done good Paul. Enthusiastic yelling never did any harm

Hi Paul and MiChelle, I found your channel a few years ago and ive watched ALL of your derby footage. Ive also watched all of your builds. I think my favorite part was grandma coming out and saying "holy sh!t" and when Paul said she couldn't swear on camera she goes "well i just did" that reminds me of my grandma and my antics over the years. Got such a good laugh out of that. Thanks Paul and family for the great content

The best trophy you got Paul was the participation trophy for being there through the whole process. From building to smashing the cars, core memories were definitely made that day.
Great video, I loved every minute of it!! Grayden is one heck of a driver!! Congrats to all you guys! It was a lot of fun!! I'd love to see more of the derby builds. Would be cool to see 1 from start to finish & showing all the modifications you do & why. This would cover the people who like the build & fab videos & the ones who like the derby videos! Thanks for all the hard work y'all put into these videos!!
One of my favourite videos, would love to see more derby content 👌🏻 be great to see Fab Rats, Matt’s Off Road Recovery & Robby Layton in the same race !

Paul I'm so envious of you right now. I have only girls. I love them dearly but they are not boys and I dont want them to be. I cant imagine the ammount of pride you have in your boys. Grayden stole the show. He didnt want to disappoint you or his older brothers. Michelle was living the BoyS MOM dream. When she said to Paul. You got that out your system. I lost it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Now she has 4 boys doing derby
Without a doubt, your BEST video ever... and seeing your son winning that race, I got teary eyes, like if I was watching my son. I can't even imagine how proud you were... Congratulations to HIM....
Family Tradition. This was absolutely wonderful watching you work together and compete together. When Gradder won the emotion that came over me was unexplainable Congratulations to all of you.
That was SOO much fun to watch! Seeing Paul and the boys wrenching, welding and racing together brought a big smile to my face! Congrats on the trophies!
Awesome !!! I don't think I've seen Paul's smile any bigger !!! And yeah as a father you learn that all the thing's you've loved to do yourself your whole life is better watching your kid's do it and helping them 💞💓 good on ya Paul !!!
Pretty awesome time spent with your boys and family, I'm sure they will never forget it. Keep it up. Great job to all the boys, working hard to play hard and live life! very cool!
I really enjoyed the video. Watching you work with and teach the boys mechanics. The best part was seeing the smiles on all of your faces at the end. Hope we get to see a few more races.
Now I can see where your skill comes from. I always liked demolition derbies. But I like rock crawling too. So just keep having fun. What you folks did for Ed was like a breath of fresh air.
Well, I've got to just say that I couldn't be more thrilled that you all kicked butt and took names in that! What a testimony to your skills and also to your family strength!

The smiles say everything! Great to see a family having fun together!
Yeah!!! One of the top vids for sure! What a great moment with the kids! That moment of his proud dad cheering him on while in the car with him!! Priceless!!! Well done Paul!! He’s gonna remember those moments forever!👍👌
All love and respect to you FabRats ❤! I've been a HUGE fan for a few years now! All of you are AWESOME!!!
Super fun to watch. Dad was so proud to watch his boys have loads of fun.
One of the best videos so far. A family video, good job boyz. Michelle awesome editing from your perspective, to inside the car perspective.
The best trophy you got Paul was the participation trophy for being there through the whole process. From building to smashing the cars, core memories were definitely made that day.
I love grandma. She makes me think of mine.
Paul you got to be one of the most multi talented , skilled, mechanical, welder I have ever seen! My wife always asks me what are you watching now! Your my Netflix & amazon prime video. I'm sure glad Matt had you for the Golden Nugget build.learning all kinds of stuff.
Gotta say im loving the longer format, great story, great memories and greatly enjoyed by this guy here. More please.
Thanks for taking us along, my favorite part by far was watching you and Grader racing, such a great father son moment.
I lost it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now she has 4 boys doing derby
This is awesome, especially loved Grayden's race. I might have to add a father son type race like this to the program at our county fair.
No maybes you guys should definitely do it, n not just father-son have it be Co-Ed girls can Wreck too.
Its so good to a father & his sons having so much fun together keep the video's coming.
Awesome !!! I don't think I've seen Paul's smile any bigger !!! And yeah as a father you learn that all the thing's you've loved to do yourself your whole life is better watching your kid's do it and helping them 💞💓 good on ya Paul !!!
Oh one other thing... VERY good call bringing Ben on !!! He's great help and brings great comedy to the show 😉
“You can’t swear on camera”
“Well I just did”
Had me rolling.
I could not have more fun than watching Paul's knowledge and joy being passed on to the youngsters. Good job all of you!
We hope the feeling comes back because you build some awesome cars and you and your kids get to spend time doing what is loved
gotta love those REAL smiles at the end!!! Glad you guys had such a great family outing!
Well, I've got to just say that I couldn't be more thrilled that you all kicked butt and took names in that!
