I usually do the same with hens but everything I'd seen showed most just throwing the Roo to the wolves. Lol. With that said, he stayed separate for a few days. This was a month ago now... he fits in great now and has taken his position. Good with our kids as well.
I usually keep my new birds in an enclosure like that for around 2 weeks. Usually helps, but not always.

Looks like maybe too many hens for one rooster .
10 girls... which from my understanding, is about right.

@@hannigan789 Interesting. So far, he doesn't seem to be causing them any problems. Would give me a reason to get more... lol
