Nice!!
They fit really well and it was nice that they are plug and play.
Did you have to weld the inner frame bracket or were they bolt on?
Not installed yet but I plan to weld them in. There will be a full install video in the next month or so
@ awesome I’m stoked to watch it. Good luck man keep up the good work.
I misspoke in the video! My flow rate is 5 gallons per HOUR! NOT per minute. Several caught this and questioned it. Thanks for pointing it out!
Will it cause black smoke on acceleration?
A lot of things can cause black smoke on acceleration. Over fueling, injector coking, lack of air, etc. What's the situation? What fuel have you been using? What engine? Any tuning? Injectors stock? Turbo stock?
Good looking smoker!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Been eyeing it for quite some time and finally pulled the trigger on it a month or so ago. There will be content on it for sure!
That is a fake wix filter. But supposedly they’re having things made in China shipped to Mexico and having Mexico stickers put on them I just got a case of xp filters made in Mexico
Entirely possible. It came from O'Reilly's so I wouldn't think they'd get fakes in... But it is possible
Any update on when the JuiceMover pumps are coming back in stock?
They were back in stock but sold out. I'm having trouble keeping them on the shelf. I'll get more built this weekend hopefully.
@@NotSoGrandGarageAwesome, thanks! Been trying to snag one for a while, I’d strongly suggest setting up a waitlist or email list, or even allowing pre-orders.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for watching
Great job buddy! 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Thanks bud
Did you have to replace your injector return lines after you built up all that pressure?
Oddly no. Only the cap on the very end let go.
@ I really hope that Is the case for my dt466, my return lines were all kinked, started dumping w90 out… replumbed everything…. Hoping for the best
@joshuak7765 should be fine. The return system isn't clamped into place or anything so if pressure gets too high, it'll just pop lines off.
Thanks soooo lot.You helps me with this Video. This Weekend I must do this on my jeep gc wh. Realy Nice.Sorry for my bad english
No worries! Glad it's helpful. Thanks for watching!
Snow later today for me in NC. None at all last year. I'm making soup and brownies! 😊
Nice! We're getting hit again right now with snow and power hasn't been restored everywhere yet from the ice. Good times for sure!
Great stuff!
Thanks bud
Glad the idi stayed out of harms way!
It was not pleasant to watch... Lol. I'd just moved it back an hour or so before.
Nice setup. I'm curious about the cetane of your blend. Have you considered having it tested?
I have not.
I thought about this when you mentioned using stale gasoline to thin the WMO. Adding gasoline to your blend not only thins your mixture, it also increases the cetane of your mixture. I wonder if stale gas would be as effective.
@95Z28A4 not sure. I've not seen any noticeable difference
Tried to buy the new iteration but they are sold out.
That's disappointing. I'm sure it'll be back soon.
Where could I buy the engine mounts?
Acme Adapters
Thanks
And what gearbox have you installed?
@@aaronbtzturrillas6777 its the factory gearbox. The Acme kit comes with the bell adapter and flywheel... uses a samurai style clutch and the stock transmission. At stock power levels, it'll be okay but much over, the transmission won't stand a chance.
Thanks. And have you installed the diesel prepump? how many bars?
Hi. I don't feel capable of doing it myself. How much would a mechanic's shop charge to do that job? I already have the same parts that you show in the video. So I can get an idea. Thanks in advance.
That depends on a LOT of things. What are shop rates in your area? They're going to charge book rate (however long the book claims it should take x their labor rate). Call around some truck shops. With that said, if you can replace ball joints... You can handle this.
Dude, you're my hero!!!!!! I did it myself in about 15 minutes. Thank you so much for uploading this video!!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
@@NotSoGrandGarage No problem man!!!!
I got fake plugs also are not magnetic
That's always fun. It's sad how often fakes are showing up these days
Just fixed mine. Thanks to you, saved a lot of time and money 👍 Works like a charm now, thanks! 🙏
Glad it got you going and appreciate the super thanks!
Have you had to do any maintenance on your centrifuge since buying it? Like seals or anything?
No. Original lid o-ring, motor seals, etc. been going strong for years.
Do you have a way to tell if your grid power is back on or not? With my setup I don't know if it's on unless the neighbors tell me haha.
Yes sir. The panel that is fed by the generator isn't the whole house... Just a dedicated "must haves" panel. Majority of the lighting and outlets in the house are on a separate panel and the shop is separate as well.
@NotSoGrandGarage so you run one of those switch style panels? I forget what it's called. But it's used most commonly with solar setups so you can easily switch the power source from solar to grid.
@RCExcusion I explain most of it here .. th-cam.com/video/coZRd-5_N8U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RVHTKHPKyOxghR6F
@RCExcusion I have a 400a meter base /main breaker combo. 200a to the house... 100a to the rear panel, and 100a to the shop all on their own main breakers at the meter base. The 100a rear panel has all of our important stuff and generator inputs. I shut the main off on that panel and fire up the generator and that covers all of our necessities. The house and shop are on their own panels. The rear panel was originally just a 100a disconnect for a package heat/AC unit. When we removed that unit, I dropped in a neutral to that disconnect and replaced it with a standard 100a panel of that makes sense.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Twas an interesting few days.
Time for a hard hat - just in cases!! Blessings and Good Health to You!!
No joke! Appreciate you.
Be careful out there buddy! I’m glad the damage wasn’t too bad!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Thanks bud. Yeah not terrible. Haven't ventured into the woods yet to see what kind of mess I'll have there.
Gotta love a good heater!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Indeed. Was real nice this morning after the ice storm came through. Truck was frozen solid. 15 minutes of run time on the heater and I could open the doors.
Y’all stay safe up there!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
We're good! Thanks bud
I wonder if you add something like Hotshots would fix the viscosity.
Not sure. This was a gear oil and it wasn't mine. They didn't want to add extra additives as this was for a 1/4 million dollar gear box.
You said it the answer is more life out of your lawnmower. The manufacturer won’t be able to sell you another one as soon as they want.
True story. Just like automotive "sealed" transmissions... "for life" fluids... Riiigghhtt...
Where is this?
Indiana. We're getting smacked pretty hard with ice. 8" of snow first and has been freezing rain since 2pm... Still going. We're gonna have a mess in the morning.
Neighbor to your west, pray you all get through safe. We got smacked with snow, not sure amount but last time I stuck a ruler in the ground it read 7" with no signs of letting up, stay safe!
@@theusmc202 the freezing rain is starting to let up here but a bunch of snow is on the way.
Three passes mesns around 25 hours of run time can you set and forget your setup? As in start it and run a pass then rest and start again?
Yes sir. I take a peak at it from time to time... But I start it in the morning... Then go out late and let the pump move stuff around. Clean the centrifuge if it needs it and run again.
Did you say 5gpm? Im currently runnning 8gph. Custom homemade fuge running at 5000rpm or 3000gs could I speed mine up?
Yeah I misspoke. 5gph. I need to edit the video and reupload it.
Interesting that you aren't concerned with Cetane Number. Motor oil cetane number is basically zero. Gasoline is also has a low cetane number close to zero. Adding some pump diesel back in might be a good idea?
Never had an issue with it. I'm sure there is some diesel mixing when switching tanks and such. Certainly wouldn't hurt anything.
What kind of mpg are you getting?
On oil, 12 - 14ish.
@NotSoGrandGarage is that better or worse or about the same as on diesel
@jessywayne09 I've never checked mileage on diesel but I'd say it's close... Maybe a little worse on oil but not much.
Awesome video thank you for all the information and answering some of my questions! Got another one for you, what do you do with the run off or waste from the centrifuge?
I use it for burning brush piles and such. Works great. Otherwise, just turn it in at a recycler.
@ thanks!
@@MooseTracksTruckin if you're looking for a unit, be sure to check the website! www.notsograndgarage.com
Is that a Cobra 148 I see?
148 GTL with a 102" whip. I've since pulled it out of the truck. It'll go back in there eventually, but right now, I've got a Yaesu 400XDR in the truck which is fantastic. The truck has changed a lot since this video so check out the playlist on the build. Thanks for watching!
Man you got five stars with your setup. Simple and effective. Thanks for sharing!
It's taken a LONG while to get it there .. and it's not quite done yet. I've got some big changes coming.
Years ago most diesel trucks had centrifuges built in the truck itself
Yup. Some still do but not many. They were bypass oil filtration.
I like the drain on the heater with the valve. Easy way to dump it out.
Yup.. moisture tends to collect there so I drain it with each run.
NICE!!!
Thanks
inlet temperature. Between running 180F and 220F. Why not run it hot hot hot! ??
No point. For one, the heater won't get that hot when the oil is 40°... It only has so much umph. Moisture evaporates at much lower temperatures also. I've tried up to 215 and saw no noticeable difference... So now I run it at 180.
awesome video man! I haven't bought a centrifuge yet, what do you think about the one similar to yours that pa biodiesel sells?
If you are looking at a 3k RPM unit... Theirs performs better. The larger bowl produces more Gs. With that said, the 6k from WVO (which is what I run) outperforms the 3k RPM units from either company by a long shot. RPM makes a HUGE difference. I've got a video on here that I did some lab testing of different RPMs and multiple passes. It tells the tale pretty clearly. I'm a WVO Designs dealer.. so if you decide to go this route, check the website out. www.notsograndgarage.com - units in stock typically shipping same day.
Well i pretty much do the exact same process as you, only thing i do different is i have a filter housing with a bunch magnets in, to pull out microscopic metal from bearings and inside engines, but i also use many different types of oil, hydraulic, engine, transmission, gear, etc from many sources. I havent had an issue, and i run it in military trucks and military generators, just like the one you have. Thanks for the video, information and your time.
Good deal! I'm going to be adding magnets to my fuel filters on the trucks and generator soon. I've got them sitting here... Just haven't messed with it. Feel free to share your setup in detail. Appreciate you watching
Do you use ethanol free gasoline?
Not typically. Most of ours is E10 and I've not had any issues with it.
You said gal per min a bunch of times and a couple gal per hour. How fast do you run the oil in the cf? 5 gpm seems way too fast and 5 gph seems really slow.
Oh snap... I didn't catch that. 5 gallons per hour is what I shoot for. I'll have to do some editing.
Thank you for your service 🫡
Thanks for watching!
Great job buddy! Thanks for sharing! Happy new year!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
