    Hey Chris, this is Justin Garvin that bought the extreme about a month ago. It's been so incredible seeing how much sludge came out with just the centrifuge, then when I hooked up the heater, even more crud came out. The difference in the appearance of the 2 tests (with and without heat) is incredible . I'm so glad I went for the extreme packages

    If you end up running the billet return lines they’re great don’t get me wrong, but I’ve had the best luck with them by adding a copper washer around the top of each injector, after you install the return rail. When you thread the injector line down onto the injector the copper washer helps keep pressure on the top of the return rail, preventing it from popping off the o-rings on the injectors. I tried this after following both methods in their installation video to a T and still ended up with leaking o-rings. Adding the copper washers worked a treat.

    how cold do you think you could process in , we get down to like -30 to -40 in the winter here, think that would just be a no go for running the centrifuge, or does the heater make it not really matter.

    • @NotSoGrandGarage

      The hard part would be moving the oil. Pumps don't like thick cold oil. If the shop was heated, it wouldn't be an issue at all but it would be a struggle for sure that cold. The unit would still operate as normal though

    Maybe your pump is failing. No matter how much you cleaned it, no matter where it came from, there are particles in there right now.

    • @NotSoGrandGarage
      @NotSoGrandGarage 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I see what you're talking about and I'm pretty certain it came off the end of the nozzle. If you look close at the oil sitting there, it's clean. The particulate comes after I drug the nozzle pulling it out. With that said, there's a 2mic filter on the oil side before the valves and main filter. I'll know soon enough if something is going on as visible particulate would plug that filter rapidly. With that said, it hasn't plugged the filter yet and I've been on that tank for a bit. I'll pull a sample from the batch of oil tonight to verify.

      Update.. just drained the water separator which hadn't been opened in months. Going to post another short on it. It isn't particulate but tiny air bubbles. It certainly looks like something in both videos but when touched or poured out on a surface, they disappear. It isn't moisture either... Definitely air. Strange for sure.

    I’ve got an Idi on a skid that I’ve been meaning to use as a template for some drop in/bolt on adapters to lock the cooling fan to the hub and the hub to the water pump. Could be a bad idea, I like to think of it as cheap insurance in the event the fan clutch fails as you’re going down the road. Pull over, grab your adapter out of the tool box, bolt em on and keep going. I’ll let you know when I make em, if you’re interested I might could send you a pair to try out

    • @NotSoGrandGarage
      @NotSoGrandGarage 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I've seen people cobble together things to do the same so the idea is sound. The only real issue that can come up is the momentum of the fan auto removing itself from the pump on shutdown but if you're adapter bolts to the pump itself, no problems.
