I live there in the Summer. I tried metal detecting but all I found were shell casings so I gave up. I did find some railroad artifacts along the abandoned tracks but nothing great. @1:39 it looks just like the old railroad path that I was searching right off Iron Springs Rd.

Good Job up there in the forest. My Whites GMT I had for 8 years is all around perfect as it tracks out the hot rocks and homes in on those little nuggys. I just keep on swinging ,pump out the Hots and go.

Do you need a permit to detect there? Do you belong to a club that owns the property? I just moved here from Alaska and do not want to break any laws. I definitely plan on doing quite a bit of detecting while I'm here. I like the way you put this together. Thank you for the info and keep up the good work. Hope you find a 10-pounder.
