I have a lot of favorite places in Arizona. Prescott is on top of that list. Just a beautiful area. Not too crowded, yet has culture and plenty to do and see. Safe as well.
Love Prescott!! I have been fortunate to been here on vacation from Sweden 5 times. Prescott is the perfect city. Not to big and not to small. Nice people and beautiful nature close by. Must be the perfect place to to retire in. Love Prescott and Arizona.
This has got to be one of your best videos to date. The camera was steady, watching your dad was very interesting and entertaining, even though he didn’t speak much I wish he had. The knowledge he has of mining was quite educational and entertaining. It’s great when you’re on the ground instead of just cruising in your Jeep. We get to see more and the interaction is better. The camera scene going into the bar was hella good. Good cameraman. You better keep him! Good job Jeff and I’m assuming Ben was the videographer. Hella job. Loved the music and how it was in sync with the different locations. Great job and you should take your dad with you more often.
With 31.1 grams per Troy ounce, and an ounce of gold currently going for $2000... that 1 gram vial of gold is worth approx. $64. ⛏😎👍🏻 P.S. You’ve really stepped up your game with this video. With the drone footage, the editing, the background music, and the information texts that occasionally popped up during the video... Good job, J! I’m almost ready to book my travel plans to AZ in late September. Three days in Grand Canyon and Sedona, and a week in Prescott and it’s surrounding areas. Can’t wait!
Reminds me of the good ole days when I was part owner of a gold claim on Lynx creek just south of Prescott. Spent tons of money on equipment, beer and camping supplies, but still have the gold, probably worth about 10 bucks. Gold fever probably took over some trips but it was always enjoyable time sitting in a creek, drinking beer and playing in the dirt.
My Dad was raised in Mayer, then he bought a ranch west of Prescott, where I grew up. Love Prescott area, but boy it's gotten so big and much busier! Nice tour
I love Arizona ,I lived in Kingman I. 2009 from Las Vegas I ' m retierd now and l ' m preparing with everything l have to go back and live there l can't wait !!! thank you for sharing the wonderful video is all true and some , see you soon Arizona !!! ❤️🤍💙
Been in Casa Grande AZ 6 months and the only place I've traveled to is work in Phx and dmv in Tuscon. It's hot and covid bites. Can't wait to go explore my new state and learn about the abundant cultures, scorpions and all. Oh and this heat killed my roses but I will not be defeated, I will buy shade and misters she says with her head high hands on her hips, in scorching 118 degree heat. I will wait till October like I was told in May. Gotta love this place. Great videos, inspiring
I've lived in Arizona over 30 years and done a bit of Gold Panning Myself along the way, Hassayampa was one of My best places for Discoveries, next time Your up around Wilhoit, there is a road that's East, just outside of Wilhoit that heads South to the Hasayampa, there are lots of open places You can find Gold on the River, It's dry most the Year along that Road, sometimes during the Rainy Season You can Pan in a lot of places, also South of Congress You can go to the Rich Hill District, with a Metal Detector still find Nuggets, good luck in Your Travels, most of all, have Fun! 😁
Great video! We've been to Prescott several times absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Next planning on visit the lakes with our puppies. We live in Wickenburg nice quiet quaint town beautiful scenery and close to Lake Pleasant which we still need to check out. Again thank you for sharing! 😎
Another great video! The music and drone footage is top notch! We loved Prescott and were originally looking for a home there 🤷🏻♀️ We’re planning to drive around Wickenburg, I want to see the Vulture mine 👍🏻
Nice idea for gold panning 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻 I am going to move to that area next year. Love your channel man. Helps me a ton getting to know AZ from afar. Thank you.
Good video, you should have gone about 1 1/2 miles down from the lake to look for gold. I use to live there on the creek at the age of 16 until about 8 years ago. You can take the Old Black Canyon Freeway (on the left if coming from Phx.) there's a Hotel on the corner (left side) next to the road, follow it down until the first road on the right and turn there and go about a 1/2 mile and the creek is on the left. Good Luck !!
100,000 ounces of gold have been taken from Lynx Creek, Arizona area since in 1863. Gold today is worth $1,985.80 an ounce. $1,985.80 * 100,000 = $198,580,000.00 😲
@@rondolan4489 I really like that it has more deciduous vegetation. But, what about winters? I can tolerate a bit of cold, but not weeks and months of it. Hence my desire to relocate from Seattle. Appreciate it!
@@YourBestHopesWellnessCoach the winter are mild. The night get cold we will be in the teens.the weather changes so fast. We will average 60 degrees weather till November. It will go from warm one day next day the temperature will drop 10 -20 degrees we had the most snow since 1967 last winter that was about two feet
@@YourBestHopesWellnessCoach you'd absolutely love Tucson! Wonderful old Spanish culture, beautiful views of the Catalina Mtns. Great starting point for road trips. More affordable housing.
Prescott is beautiful and a place I think I would enjoy. Life seems slower and a bit old fashioned in a good way, although I do enjoy the modern life as well. Old school seems safer, happier, a bit easier to smile. My only thing is the snow as I will need to work a several years more. How much snow does Prescott get a year and is it a problem for ones who need to drive 5 days a week. I am a school teacher. Thanks!

@@LivinginArizona By my Rand-McNally... .Ooooops--that's KIRKLAND. It's south of Skull Valley---Now that's a cool name for a town! "I'm from SKULL VALLEY!!" It has a much better ring to it than "I live in Snowflake." There are listings in Kirkland and it's around 4000', so it shouldn't get cold like Prescott (or Snowflake). I just wonder what's there. I've enjoyed your videos since I lived in San Diego--and KUSI still calls "us" Zonies. Nobody seems to know that out here. It was an unpleasant surprise that there is no antenna TV out here. I love your videos but you need to work on getting a microphone you're hard to hear sometimes the other times you're blowing out my ears thank you keep up the good work
Drove through Prescott 18 years ago in my motor home just me and my kids sold the motor home and I'm still here

Tucson area has some of the best gold panning in the USA. Look up " mine with the iron door".
Beautiful vistas with a great soundtrack! And because of you, I want a drone now!

Giving our gold country a run for it’s money here in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Looked like Schist at the start of this video!
You missed one of the best places to go gold prospecting up there. You went right by it, and that's Weaver and Stanton.
