Nowadays people snarl at you for no reason and act annoyed that you exist. It is hard to find a friendly person in the present. Watching these older interviews do give you a good feeling that people were once polite and courteous.

Elizabeth did NOT like Barbara Eden. They had adjacent soundstages and shared a make-up room. It was well known that Elizabeth resented Eden's capitalizing on the witch character created by Elizabeth by portraying a genie (sort of similar to being a witch). Barbara herself stated that Elizabeth was rather catty in the make-up room and most of the time ignored Miss Eden. Nor did Elizabeth like the fact that Barbara Eden had a similar look to Elizabeth's and seemed to copy Elizabeth's acting gestures and acting style for the show.

But by all accounts Barbara was very nice and she was a beauty like Elizabeth, but in all honesty Elizabeth was as beautiful. They were around the same age... I sure wish that I'd met her before she'd become a star in the sky. May she have all of the powers that she wished for up in Heaven.

I've just found this short clip of an interview. When Elizabeth Montgomery passed away unfortunately so young at 63, I think, shows like Entertainment Tonight went over how she very rarely did any interviews so this is a great treasure to have of Elizabeth. Thank you so much for posting it. I was a huge fan of Elizabeth Montgomery and miss her greatly to this day. I watch Bewitched repeats on TV occasionally to see her again. Rest in peace Elizabeth Montgomery. You are greatly missed.

The first interview of Elizabeth Montgomery I've ever seen, and I searched for it explicitly when I suddenly realized I've never seen her as herself, though I watched Bewitched going way back to the early 1970s, perhaps 60s, when it was new and I was too young to remember. Most of all, she was a kind and gentle person, from what those who knew her have said. Having said that, she would stand up for what she believed in, peace, human rights, those with disabilities, and more. Her talents were on display before BEWITCHED, during BEWITCHED, after BEWITCHED. But there are few actors/actresses that have an iconic symbol associated with them as "the twitch" is with Elizabeth, a symbol of love. But from her point of view, she had to move away from BEWITCHED In order not to be stereotyped, which can kill a career. Elizabeth Montgomery was a master of that by going on to appear in some classic TV movies, two of which are memorable, A CASE OF RAPE (which Liz loved doing), which was one of the first, if not the first, issue oriented TV movies that got laws changed, and THE LEGEND OF LIZZIE BORDEN. In both cases, Liz was excellent. R.I.P. beautiful lady.
Bewitched series never becomes old or boring. It is currently on Silver Screen in Canada twice a day...mid morning & evening. I never miss it..no commercials really helps keep your interest as well. ALL good actors on this show. Great chemistry between Elizabeth & Dick York.

My mom went to a couple of tapings and I guess the studio was very small, had a riser of bench seats and a bunch of metal folding chairs. But he got major celebrities on that show. Yes. This was Mike Douglas. I watched this regularly. He was not one of the best, but kind of grew into it and got better. What struck me was how quiet the audience was. I didn't even know they were there. The other thing I noticed was how they were, actually, talking to one another. This was back in the days when Paar, Cavett, Merv Griffin, David Frost &, of course, Johnny Carson made it sound spontaneous. And, I almost forgot Tom Snyder. With the exception of Letterman, today's "hosts" sound like they are robots with memorized dialogue. "I. Will. Ask. You. This." "Now. I. Will. Answer." Pathetic!

The Dodgers won the 1965 World Series over the Twins, but in October 1966, the Dodgers were swept by the Baltimore Orioles. That series was played from October 5-9, which fits in with her second son having turned one on October 5. Probably mid- to late- October 1966.

If you enjoyed watching this young Elizabeth, go watch her in an early Twilight Episode called Adam and Eve where she played the last female survivor of an apocalyptic war. She was like 20 years old. The last man was played by a 20-something Charles Bronson. Elizabeth has no lines at all in the episode, as must convey her emotions facially - and oh what a face. Her youth and breathtaking beauty is something to behold.

I believe this was the Mike Douglas show. That set was later use on the Dating Game show in color , I think I am sure of it, with the hippie flowers on the walls. This is why I was lousy in school , I was glued to tv.
Yes. This was Mike Douglas. I watched this regularly. He was not one of the best, but kind of grew into it and got better. What struck me was how quiet the audience was. I didn't even know they were there. The other thing I noticed was how they were, actually, talking to one another. This was back in the days when Paar, Cavett, Merv Griffin, David Frost &, of course, Johnny Carson made it sound spontaneous. And, I almost forgot Tom Snyder. With the exception of Letterman, today's "hosts" sound like they are robots with memorized dialogue. "I. Will. Ask. You. This." "Now. I. Will. Answer." Pathetic!

The Dodgers won the 1965 World Series over the Twins, but in October 1966, the Dodgers were swept by the Baltimore Orioles. That series was played from October 5-9, which fits in with her second son having turned one on October 5. Probably mid- to late- October 1966.

She Loved Elvis - A Big Crush as I was told. She Married Gig Young who starred with Elvis in the movie Kid Galahad in 1965 . Gig Young was always mad at Elvis because Elizabeth had such a crush on Elvis .
If you enjoyed watching this young Elizabeth, go watch her in an early Twilight Episode called Adam and Eve where she played the last female survivor of an apocalyptic war. She was like 20 years old. The last man was played by a 20-something Charles Bronson. Elizabeth has no lines at all in the episode, as must convey her emotions facially - and oh what a face. Her youth and breathtaking beauty is something to behold.
