ESPN is waaaaaay to far up Nick's butt to ever truly examine the recruiting practices or many of the other things that have gone down at Bama over the years. Try this one on for size, UAB football being destroyed by the Bama bot years ago. How about the fact that Bama never plays any team outside of Auburn in their own state? Nick Saban is one of the better coaches in the last 50years of college football without question but there are definite cracks in the armor. Alabama and Nick have done record breaking things but they should NOT start throwing stones.
Well because Nick Saban pushed for a 9 and then 10 SEC conference schedule. Jimbo, Kirby, Gus, Mark Richt, Sumlin, etc all voted it down. Nobody wants to see Alabama vs Jacksonville St or Troy. They want Alabama vs Wisc, VT, Notre Dame, Texas, Penn State, Georgia Tech, USC Trojans, Clemson, FSU. Saban doesn't control the scheduling and other schools don't accept Alabamas offer. So this notion Nick dodges teams is laughable. Jimbo has had problems everywhere he's been FSU. Soo... Who's got the track record of lying?

Allowing them to always compete for Natl titles. Because Bama' always has the pick of the nation's top HS talent, Nick Saban of all people can hardly have the gall to complain about fairness in recruiting at this point.

As long as the money comes from sponsors and not from the schools or the conferences themselves which is not a fail safe way of approaching the problem there shouldn’t be a problem. This is where the untrusted NCAA can help by making sure schools don’t infuse money to the sponsors and the schools don’t give the athletes money directly it could work, MAYBE!

He complained when the BCS was here, now he wants a 8 team playoff where he can play every year. Now the NIL is paying players more than what he paid them at Bama and he can’t stop it. He clearly made that statement due to the fact that he’s not able to get top recruits no more. Before the NIL, he was like a mouse.
