What they missed on that 2nd & 26 play is that Tua held the safety with his eyes long enough to pull him away from the guy running down the sideline. And when Tua let the ball go, he wasn't really looking at his WR because he had to let it go as quickly as he could. That is an NFL throw that he made on that last play. And this kid is a true freshman.

I can't spell his name, so Imma do like EA sports and say QB #13 for Alabama reminded me of Russell Wilson. Especially that play when he escaped the sack against two or three Georgia defenders.
He reminded me of Vick; left handed, that cannon arm and the way he holds the ball on the move & in the pocket. Of course not as athletic, but he has moxie for sure.
Caramel PhD he reminded me nothing of mike Vick. Only thing that’s comparable is that he’s left handed.

Not in terms of his play style at all or athleticism, just tiny mechanical things he does reminds me of him. Wilson is much more solid footed and poised in a pocket, Tua has had this natural kind of jumpiness in the pocket. Wilson is what happens when a prototypical pocket passing QB's brain is put into a short, extremely mobile body; Tua's plays are a lot like Wilson's in results but the mechanics and motions he has a far different, a good but due to handedness and age.

Romo was good not great, yes his regular season record was 78-49 but his playoff record was 2-4 plus missed the playoffs 6 out of his 10 years starting. I still think he’ll always be better than Dak, but he’s not great. Maybe if he played for a different team after 2016 other than Dallas maybe he would have gone to a super bowl I’ll give you that

I like Baker Mayfield. i always have. Everything people criticize him for are the reasons I like him. However, this kid Tua is a different animal (figure of speech) Jerry Glanville was asked before the season even started who was the best QB in college. Without hesitation he said the second string QB at Alabama. The final play wasn't by accident. Glanville said he had seen Tua make the same pass at least five times in high school. Saban was once an assistant for Glanville. They are still good friends which lead to Saban recruiting the kid. Now we have his little brother on the radar. Get ready because this may get ugly. NIck Saban has a QB that can make all the throws. Top that with Harris and that defense. I notice nobody is predicting the demise of the Tide this year. Tua seems humble so hopefully he stays grounded.

I don't know how FS1 executives let Skip Bayliss sit up there and represent their network the way he does by being so unprofessional and petty. As an embittered Oklahoma fan, Skip can't separate his personal animosity for Alabama from his obligation to be neutral as a professional analyst. But he can't do that because he's biased. You never see Skip apply the same ridiculous standards to other CFB teams & their head coaches the way he does Nick Saban and Alabama.
Six national championships is still six national championships. Period. Nick Saban is the Michael Jordan of college football. Just accept Bama's dynasty for what it is, man. More than anything else, Skip, just appreciate the fact that we're all (all of us sports fans; yourself included) are privileged to be able to witness sports history. A sports history that should be valued even more since it's likely the last true college football dynasty ever.

Truth is Hurts isn't responsible for getting them there, that Defense is, and it has been their bread and butter since Saban took over. Tua arguably could've been the starter since the opening game, he was lighting up the 1st D since spring ball. Hurts has never been a throw first QB, most of his TD's are runs or bombs down field. Tua undoubtedly will start next year.
You cannot underestimate Tua looking off the safety. That is what made the play. He knew the coverage. He knew exactly what he was doing. He looked off the safety then came back to number 6 and threw a rope. Yeah the corner could have played it better but Tua took care of the safety which was critical

That's why I don't watch college football and only reeeeally pay Attention when the draft comes and research film on who I think they're sleeping on and if the top picks are gonna be good or busts bc every year it's pretty predictable. In the NFL there's 6-8 teams with a legitimate shot at winning the super bowl. And the nba as of recently it's been golden state but the Cleveland GS saga has been great to watch .
