nostrum I’m assuming maybe just south of 3k? Which is far less than the upgrade to the 400 luxe and with better parts and more power. Intakes maybe around 450$, if he went custom on the downpipes then maybe 400$ or a little more. Exhaust could be hit or miss from 600-1500 depending on where he got it or got it done. Bov 250$ish and then a tune, assuming he did all the bolt ons first and tuned after rather than multiple tunes, around 700$
It's a shame, but technology and efficiency have led to this. I'm no expert as to how it all works, but turbocharging an engine disrupts the exhaust pulses leading to muted and unsavory exhaust tones; Porsche is probably the best at maintaining somewhat of a desirable exhaust note when it comes this.

I had a Mercedes AMG coupe for 10 years and I was looking to buy a new car in 2017. When this car came out I ordered mine a 2017 red interior red exterior with the carbon fiber package every single package available of course it's a redsport. It's missing a couple options that the Germans have but it was the most beautiful and powerful car in its class. And 2 years later not one thing has gone wrong with the car. It's it's a full bolt on car making 460 wheel horsepower and 525 lbs feet of torque to the wheels.
D Lugo I have a 2017 Mercedes GLC43 AMG suv. There was a guy in red sport 400? On the side of the car I can see 3.0t S. He cut me off on a slow moving traffic. When we finally got to a red light where I was behind him on a single lane that splits into two ahead. Light turns green I floored my car and I immediately pulled in front of him at 55mph. He was shocked and stayed behind me for the next 3 miles where he finally made exit. I don’t know why some people just like to flash their car thinking they own the road. The GLC43 is a very fast SUV and I have beaten lots of cars such as BMW M550i, Lexus RCF, mustang GT, challenger SRT, Audi S7, Tesla SUV and a corvette!! A vette from a stop light. He punched it and while he was ahead by half a car as we took off, I took over at 45mph and pulled way ahead (he gave me a smile). 43 series is a beast of a car. I will soon tune it with Eurocharge for 467hp and 549 torque to turn it into a beast! It’s been solid reliable now with 56k miles, it runs faster than I bought it new.
@@jondoe1310 dude my wife has a c43 AMG that's why I didn't go for one. They are awesome cars and I hate when people be trying to say they are not real AMG cars. And they sell the larger screen for 900. Plus the turbine vents. Are you going to do downpipes too? My buddy has a c63 and he's always talking shit saying the 43 isn't a real AMG until the day we were at a dead stop and he was spinning and I was gone. Then it was oh but you have awd I said keep talking shit.
D Lugo no down pipe I don’t want to put too much stress on the suv. Talking ability C63s they are dog from a dead stop. I have taken them all from stop light. They spin and can’t put power down properly. They are jealous because the new V6 is more affordable and they claim its diluting the AMG. 43 is a real AMG. They are very fast with a tune and if you add the down pipe it will be a rocket because on it has 4 wheel bias 69 torque rear and rest front.
@@VQDE_RobLee Those were well built cars and well engineered. I remember there was one model that had a rudimentary active suspension but technology was not advanced enough in those days.
My wife is loving her Neimans looking Red Sport coupe that she got wrapped. The biggest zonk I have is the turbo lag. But once it kicks in it does break loose those tires. Great review.
I'd say this is a huge improvement over the 370. Exterior wise completely, and although the info system is a little dated, the 370Z infotainment in 2019 is laughable at best. I'd take this over that any day! The price seems a little marked up tho. Personally I'd say $55,000 would be the sweet spot on the price.
Red Sport 400’s whether it’s a Q50/60 are dope asf and if you have the money to get this, you’d have enough for an aftermarket exhaust or a simple muffler delete and it does suck that we do have to do that in order to get some sound, even the muffler delete on these cars prolly won’t satisfy enough people😂
Especially when the info screen is so outdated and needs a better sound reving it and needs a little bit of work on it but still 65k is still a little too much ill just buy a used one on a good price
You can buy a slightly used 2018 Sport model for $32k. Exhaust, downpipes, tune ( about $3000) and you'll have around 535hp. 0-60 in about 3.5secs. Run e85 and some bigger turbos for about 600hp ($5000) and you'll be closer to 3 secs flat. also buy the mark 3 tesla screen to fix the outdated infotainment screens. then you got a luxury ride that will beat just about anything you throw at it for around $40k
Joe this is amazing car that can’t not compare too. No way Jose. Yes this car is way better than 370z. Not saying 370z is bad but I would take the Q60. Interior and exterior red on red looks so sexy. 👍💯Q60💯👍💯video💯👍
The q60 at least the revised version looks amazing on the outside , it has that concept car feel to it ... the only thing I would change in this car is the infotainment system Nissan/ infinity is still behind on the tech aspect. And I would love to see them step it up and incorporate some awesome tech features from their concept vehicles ... or even add things to compete with companies like bmw & Mercedes and even GM , if they do that I guarantee they will kill it in sales - Small changes that can be added - better sounding exhaust ( active valve) - better infotainment - intuitive tech - possibly more power These are just things that can help since INFINITI especially this model is overwhelmingly priced for features that are clearly outdated
Still the best looking 2 door out, put it next to the corvette supra, any bmw, mercedes, porsche, anyone. that's the exterior. Interior could improve by a lot. But the main thing that needs to improve is the transmission choices, put a quality dual clutch or ZF 8 speed in there and make 1000 7 speed manuals a year.

A corvette zo1 zle shits on it any day of the week so do benz and lexus, and porche deff shits on it, you’re crazy.Don’t agree with that opinion at all nor would the majority of people. No regrets with the v6 engine. On top of that, my car has android auto and wireless charger which this $65K car doesn’t and the accords interface is faster.
They actually play a simulated exhaust sound through the speakers. You can disable it in a secret menu so when you put a good exhaust on you can hear it.
Great review. I've been looking at buying my first "high end" luxury sports car, and this Infiniti has really captured my attention. Prior to discovering the Red Sport 400, I had been looking closely at Lexus, and while I love the Lexus styling, I don't think they offer anything remotely competitive, in terms of performance, to the Q60 Red Sport 400 for the money. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a huge fan of Toyota, but I just don't think they're competitive in the type of car I'm seeking here
Fly2kill1 “weird” feeling is more or less what I’ve heard before. But if Joe says it has good communication, I’m going to have to try it... or clean my ears out. Thanks for the input man.
Literally one of the cars i was considering when I was in the market to upgrade from the STI, great looking car. Sadly the after market support is small for it. After I test drove it, noticed the transmission shifts are very laggy even in sport mode, way too laggy. I dreaded the electronic steering, literally 0 response from the road, it was pure synthetic, i didn't like it at all. The head unit is just as laggy as the transmission. $64k new is way too much, when I was looking at a 2018 Q60 red sport 400 AWD version, I found one at my local Infiniti CPO 1 owner, only 3k miles, it was listed for $48k. Depreciation is horrid on it..... but damn it's fast as hell... I'd like to see nissan use the motor and the awd system in their next Z with a manual. That would be 💦💦
Here’s my story..I tested out a 2015 370Z..ended up with a 2015 Q50. Both had the 3.7 normally aspirated engine. The Q is quieter, almost as fast, better in many ways. I wish I would have bought the Z though just for the handling. The Q is a sport model with bigger brakes, stiffer sway bar, and 19” wheels so its not bad at all, just a little heavy for throwing around the twisties. I avoided the turbo model years, just because I wanted the very reliable 3.7. Just FYI.

What AMG coupe? Or just one with AMG accessories and badges?
@@jondoe1310 dude my wife has a c43 AMG that's why I didn't go for one. They are awesome cars and I hate when people be trying to say they are not real AMG cars. My Infiniti is really fast after all the bolt on parts and tune it runs 11.22 in the quarter if I take the seats out it might hit in the 10's. I plan on some downpipes and tune for the wife's car.
@@nessuno5403 I had a Clk55 AMG and I sold it to my brother in law and he still has it. Very very reliable car
This is insanely gorgeous
I totally agree with you!
Who remembers the Q45 with the gatling gun headlights?
I do! Test drove one way back when but did not buy one.
Totaled my Q ship on 95 North hit by a kid only been driving for 8 days. Picked up a G35 and FX35. Miss my V8
@@VQDE_RobLee Those were well built cars and well engineered. I remember there was one model that had a rudimentary active suspension but technology was not advanced enough in those days.
@@doctorrobert60 that's why I love my 08 M45 Sport. Old school driving experience and not to much tech. Plus it has a V8!
@@fredwilliams7893 Nice Fred!
So beautiful. Nice mix of luxury and sporty.
My wife is loving her Neimans looking Red Sport coupe that she got wrapped. The biggest zonk I have is the turbo lag. But once it kicks in it does break loose those tires. Great review.
This car was flying under my radar, not anymore. Thanks for the review.
You are so very welcome!
Hate that dam navi info center set up so dated the exterior looks so dam good tho beautiful exterior
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
"Dated..." Idiot millenial.
Red Sport 400’s whether it’s a Q50/60 are dope asf and if you have the money to get this, you’d have enough for an aftermarket exhaust or a simple muffler delete and it does suck that we do have to do that in order to get some sound, even the muffler delete on these cars prolly won’t satisfy enough people😂
Knavish did a muffler delete and it sounds great. Got the Infiniti muffler delete pipes
I was just behind one today same color. It is really a good looking car!
Ugh I’m a coupe guy and I’m in love! I need this in my life
Why didn’t they just make it an electric car since it sounds like that 😂😂🤦🏻♂️
I see what you did there! ;-)
It basically is an electric car. Steer by wire throttle by wire for what it's worth it wouldn't be a crime to call it a hybrid.
My first Infiniti coupe car!! Terrific job Joe.
Heck yeah!
Almost 65k for this Infiniti !!!! I'd rather buy a Camaro ZL1 or Corvette C8 instead
As someone who had a 2018 q60.....it is a fantastic car.its like a luxury car but you can beat every mustang that tries to race you
As an Infiniti fan, Eddie, you have a good point.
Especially when the info screen is so outdated and needs a better sound reving it and needs a little bit of work on it but still 65k is still a little too much ill just buy a used one on a good price
@@melvinmerlos8771 I like Infiniti also but, shit's fucking expensive
@@kouki8489 Especially the screen is soo easy for Infiniti to upgrade
I had the 2017 Q60 and currently have the 2018 Q60. I love it. Only car I would replace it with is the LC500
Thanks for sharing your ownership input !
How do you like the infotainment screens? I’m thinking about trading in my 2015 ES 350 for this.
My dream coupe
The q60 at least the revised version looks amazing on the outside , it has that concept car feel to it ... the only thing I would change in this car is the infotainment system Nissan/ infinity is still behind on the tech aspect. And I would love to see them step it up and incorporate some awesome tech features from their concept vehicles ... or even add things to compete with companies like bmw & Mercedes and even GM , if they do that I guarantee they will kill it in sales
- Small changes that can be added - better sounding exhaust ( active valve)
- better infotainment
- intuitive tech
- possibly more power
These are just things that can help since INFINITI especially this model is overwhelmingly priced for features that are clearly outdated
Aftermarket manual transmission package is being released
Tigerex966 Pshh not even. A corvette zo1 zle shits on it any day of the week so do benz and lexus, and porche deff shits on it, you’re crazy.Don’t agree with that opinion at all nor would the majority of people. It’s a nice design don’t get me wrong but to say it’s better looking is just being delusional, but i guess everyone has their opinions.
This G35 was the first new car I ever purchased. This video is nostalgic lol
The brakes could've been bigger. Infiniti, work on your infotainment system. You're a luxury brand for God sakes.
Agreed - so I put a Stoptech BBK on my '17 Q60S :)
I drive a 2013 Infiniti G37S and I plan to have it for a while but I’m definitely going to a car like this next, I personally love the split screen in the front!
Thanks for letting me share this one with you Jordan.
The Infinitis have always been a more luxury version of the 350z and 370z
Funfact There actually more skyline than z
I got a q50, because of my newborn, but I had driven the q60, and I loved it. As he said, it’s quick and the drive is comfy.
Thanks for sharing that great input from your experience!
I’m in love with this car
I am so glad that I could share it with you!
i love the dual screens, the top screen should of been as crisp and HD as the lower one, that's all. Audi moved to dual screens recently, they just have higher quality screens
People have been modding these with stock turbo's and beating ferrari's.
Oh I believe it!
I’ll be buying the Red Sport 400 next week.
I hate the top navigation screen, I hate how it looks faded and not glossy. I owned an Infiniti Q50 2017. Same interior
I totally agree with you!
I hate how the seatbelt rubs my neck, it won't stay back, needs to be adjustable beyond just rotating.
I love this Chanel this man is super informal and very professional, he’ now what’s he’s doing CEO of All information you need 👍
Thanks Teo! I really appreciate you sharing that wonderful compliment.
I’ve had it for 3 years. Top notch car. It’s very quick in manual mode
TheCR1T1CALM4SS my 2020 is on order. I can’t wait! 🙌🏼
Jessica Deskins did you ever get your 2020? I own a 370z, my brother offered to buy my z off me, but just can’t decide what car and this car has caught my eye for a while now
Carlos Carrasco go for the Infiniti
@@carloscarrasco9623 I believe the upcoming Z with have this engine, hopefully the exhaust will sound more aggressive, I may or may not keep 370Z once the new one comes out!
I love the looks of this car, however from the side- it looks like a Honda Accord coupe
Thanks for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Raiti's Rides oh my God! Thank you for making a great video!
Not a bad thing, because the Accord coupe is a great looking car!! The new Mustangs also have a very similar side profile to the Accord.
Jay Rock lmao I was just about to comment about this. I have a 2016 Accord coupe, I had it wrapped in blue matte metallic brilliant. The car is beautiful. Never understood the hate for Honda’s because the final edition 9th accords are one of the nicest looking affordable, reliable coupes you can find. For sure these cars will age nicely in the future. No regrets with the v6 engine. On top of that, my car has android auto and wireless charger which this $65K car doesn’t and the accords interface is faster.
Red and black is my favourite color.. that red interior is Hott. The whole car is tight
Such a beautiful car! I love everything about it. ❤️😊
I am so glad that I could share it with you Angie.
They actually play a simulated exhaust sound through the speakers. You can disable it in a secret menu so when you put a good exhaust on you can hear it.
Interior is too dated, love the red leather interior. Kinda pricey
Finally he says something about the q60
It’s a very good looking car Joe! 🏎💨🍻👍
Never even a fan of Japanese cars but I would definitely get the infiniti
This car is pure money
Great review. I've been looking at buying my first "high end" luxury sports car, and this Infiniti has really captured my attention.
Prior to discovering the Red Sport 400, I had been looking closely at Lexus, and while I love the Lexus styling, I don't think they offer anything remotely competitive, in terms of performance, to the Q60 Red Sport 400 for the money. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a huge fan of Toyota, but I just don't think they're competitive in the type of car I'm seeking here
I would go Lexus RCF
Why buy a 2019 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 when you can buy a 2020 C8 Corvette?
This here, this comment right here, sir
2 more seats and it's a premium brand
Back seat?
It does have a back seat if that was a necessity!
Good point!
I think I heard you say that the steer-by-wire system had good communication. Wow! Promising. Good job.
Jorge it doesn’t when you push it. It decides what it thinks it should be doing. It’s weird
Fly2kill1 “weird” feeling is more or less what I’ve heard before. But if Joe says it has good communication, I’m going to have to try it... or clean my ears out. Thanks for the input man.
Jorge look at motortrend rip it. It decides what it wants to do.
@@Fly2kill1 nah man, he admittedly said he's tryna confuse the car and make it spin. the car didn't agree with him
Jorge its has, a lot better steering than a lc500, faster response. You need to try it, I did and it was great.
You didn't mention the cool peak at the top of the grille. Very nice (-;
I was laughing at the Personal joke lol 😂
That would be 💦💦
Hugh Vupy it would be wet?
Here’s my story..I tested out a 2015 370Z..ended up with a 2015 Q50. Both had the 3.7 normally aspirated engine. The Q is quieter, almost as fast, better in many ways. I wish I would have bought the Z though just for the handling. The Q is a sport model with bigger brakes, stiffer sway bar, and 19” wheels so its not bad at all, just a little heavy for throwing around the twisties. I avoided the turbo model years, just because I wanted the very reliable 3.7. Just FYI.
Just remember that this car is almost as expensive as a Corvette C8($64k). Don’t get this car.
They are both nice cars..
Dont get a q60 new. And there isnt any awd in the c8
Alpha Maximus you can get a used 2016 Q50 Red Sport for about $26k-$28k. It will be worth $21k a year later though.
This have been my dream car for 2 years that’s y I saw ur video definitely getting this
both the interiors are outdated and needs a refresh ASAP
It's a Nissan what you expect 🤣🤣
So what is a updated interior? The iPad looking thing everyone's doing?
@@johnnyCham12 right?😂

I really thought the price was gonna be 15k less. For 64k though? just...NO!
Owned g37s model and exhaust sound was perfect .
I'll take a late model Lexus GS over that.
The Infiniti is old and outdated...no ventilated seats or ventilated steering wheel..come on Infiniti
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one Tom!
ventilated steering wheels and seats are for swamp ass people
You are the only reviewer to like the steering
64k thats porsche cayman money ... 🤔 porsche or Infiniti
Tony Manno a base model porsche with no options and probably around 300 horses. Definitely infinity

That exhaust has to go, TO THE AFTERMARKET 🏁🏁
16:07..... Who goes double screen ??? For one, AUDI does it now......
Audi has switched over to a virtual cockpit not two screens stacked on top of one another.
@@RaitisRides Maybe you should have a closer look at Audis..... A6 and A8 have 2 screens in center stack " one on top of the other", Pal....
