Super random but this was the first video I noticed Luke’s dog finally move. I was convinced for the longest time it was a statue or a stuff animal he put on pieces of furniture.

I came here to mention this, I'm glad it wasn't on this list. I was so good. Really impressive for something that played on iPods. I want to replay it sometime.
I'm not sure if it still works but at a certain point they changed the name to (zzzSunset) or something close. If you bought it previously you might still be able to download it under that title.
In the payday crime war section you were like half correct there were 2 versions of the game after the pvp version was kinda scrapped payday crime war basically became dollar store payday 2 with a separate pvp mode that was different from the old version I’m a huge payday fan and just thought I should put in some corrections
The clickbait is strong with this one, there was no use for the "terrible" in the title considering there are games you yourself said are fine or something along that line.
When I was 13 and needed a replacement phone urgently, I got a Sony Erricson W100i Harry Potter Edition (because cool backplate, and it stood out enough from the rest of the phones that way) with a mobile version of Harry Potter. The game was pretty half baked, completed the story in I think 4-5 hours and the gameplay was very simplistic and meh.

I actually really enjoyed halo Spartan strike, and Spartan assault. I had it on my windows rt tablet in university, and had a Windows phone, I never owned an Xbox so I had only played combat evolved at the time, but I could plug a controller into my tablet and play at home, and my work was super slow back then and it had cross progression so I'd pick up where I left off at work on my phone.

I wish phones still had physical keyboards as well. Physical feedback is better than a quick buzz with a sound effect and it could actually make mobile gaming enjoyable.
Crazy that the OG CrimeWar was actually really cool, the new CrimeWar was cool because the re release added normal heist gameplay, but it sucks that it shut down twice
Super Robot Wars is a big franchise in Asia(which just reached 33rd anniversary few days ago). So BandaiNamco made a "Mobile version" called SRW X-Ω(Cross Omega). Since this was a mobile game, X-Ω had more liberty to bring other IP than Robot animes to join their roster so bringing stuff ike Seargent Keroro or Megaman X, IdolM@sters etc was possible. The problem with X-Ω was that it wasn't a true SRW game - just a tower defence game in disguise pretending to be SRW just because it had Robot anime characters. while It did had few fanbase and lasted for 6 years in service due to being a popular IP and all, A mobile SRW in true form called SRW DD began and X-Ω was closed for good not long after DD's release.
Each Final Fantasy game (1, 2, 3, etc.) are self contained universes. Games like 10 and 10-2 are shared universe. Each FF game has a rather extensive mini game collection. Especially if you look at FF7. Has about 8 seperate games. Not including the remakes. Each one explaining different sections of the world. But FF14 Online shows that each universe can be accessed in some way or another. Hence why characters can appear in other games for cameos. There are also like one or two other franchises wrapped up into the FF universe.
I remember my dad getting pissed that I bought the Assassin's Creed game on my razr. I actually thought it was super fun for a phone game. Also, Elijah's mousepad setup is cracked
I really wish you guys would do a bit more research before doing these videos, it would really help to fill in the very numerous fairly obvious knowledge gaps the two of you have when talking about a lot of this stuff, which were honestly really distracting and kept me from enjoying the video more. The idea is great, I would definitely like to hear more about this subject and a lot of the games, but most of the games you talked about you clearly didn't know anything about and hadn't looked into very much, so it was a lot of just wild speculation and giving opinions about games (that in a lot of cases, you hadn't even played!). Would have just liked a bit more actual facts and concrete history instead of a lot of half-remembered and secondhand anecdotes. Like, the fact that y'all didn't know that Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 14 are in completely separate universes is a pretty big oversight, and one that would have been easily solved by a couple Google searches ahead of time. There were a few sections where y'all started doing research during the filming (so you find a few things out mid-video) but those are the kinds of things you should really look more into *before* making the video, and a lot more thoroughly on all, or at least most of the games you're gonna talk about. That way, you wouldn't have to have people making corrections in your comment section. Have enjoyed some of your videos prior to this (I'm fairly new to them) but, I dunno, the lack of research in this one just really kinda irked at me. Maybe it's because a lot of the games talked about are things I have a bit of familiarity with, but either way.
16:31 IDK about Android, but back then I played it in mobile phones from the previous generation. You know, back when the only mobile phone that was all touchscreen was the iPhone. It was an interesting time back then. There were several decent mobile games, you wouldn't believe it. Gameloft, which if my memory serves me right, was who made mobile ports for Ubisoft games like Prince Of Persia and the featured here Assassin's Creed. They would also come up with titles of their own that would later become proper franchises like Asphalt, GTA clone Gangstar and, honorable mention, Resident Evil clone Zombie Infection. Another mobile game company worth mentioning called Glu, which made a mobile version of Microsoft's Project Gotham Racing. There were indie mobile games. Back then I played fan made versions of TLOZ and Counter Strike. And how could we forget about the Tony Hawk's mobile games? And there was even a EA Skate mobile version as well back then. Lastly, there would also be a mobile version of Bioshock. Which was really a promo for the actual game, as they only let you play until the part where Atlas tells you to reach a batisphere where allegedly his family is which the splicers end up blowing up. Fast forwarding to the iPhone and Android era, iPhone would release some games that sold you into getting one like a Silent Hill game and a proper EA Skate. Speaking of EA, they also released a mobile exclusive Mass Effect called Infiltrator which was it's own entire thing with it's own characters and a mobile version of their NFSMW reboot, not to mention, Plants vs Zombies. Another Pop Cap honorable mention, Heavy Weapon. Which was originally on the XBOX Live Arcade, then later also receiving a mobile port. And Rockstar would jump in the mobile gaming market as well by releasing mobile ports of GTA and Max Payne. As you can see, you have a good chunk of material to work with here.
Bit of a fumble on Payday CrimeWar. There were infact two versions of this game. One was in 2018 which was the PvP one shown in the video. It only had an early test phase before ultimately never releasing. This version however was much more sturdy and well crafted than what came after which was 2023’s Payday CrimeWar. After a shift in development this game came out at long long last. New devs, new game. And it fully released and it was ungodly buggy. The grindy type with timegated loot box openings and an almost intopped level of performance issues and sloppiness. It was impossible to fix. And it shut down only receiving 1 content update

Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike were pretty good games. Not perfect or of the same quality as the other Halos, but still good games in their own right.
