Excellent video, I sent this to my apprentice as a reference while I was out of the shop for a medical procedure! Instead of having to write a small book on the subject, you saved me day! Thank you!
Thanks for the nice explanation. My mnemonic lying with the head under the car: turning away = steering away from driver to passenger, turning towards = steering wheel to the driver side.
Thanks for this. I took mine in to Les Schwab and the guy who supposedly did the alignment told me that there was no way to get the steering wheel straight. I knew he was full of it.
@@CliffsHowTo I took it back to them and told them that I watched this video....they had it back to me in 30 minutes straight as an arrow. Knowledge is power, thank you so much. BTW, I've subscribed to your channel.
@@CliffsHowTo Me too, thanks again. I work on 95% of that Jeep with my own hands....the things I can't do, I TRUST with commercial shops.....this country is going to hell in a hand basket.
50 years of doing wheel alignments you never give the vehicle back with a crooked wheel, I would have it rechecked at a reputable shop because tires aren’t cheap!😊
Mine is way more off than yours I'm definitely going to try this. Did you have problems with your blinker resetting after a turn? I have to manually turn mine off after a turn. I was wondering if you think the steering wheel being off center could cause this. Thanks.
Not at all. I was just driving to see where the wheel position was, and hopped out to make a quick adjustment. It’s probably safer to shut the Jeep off!

Great video, I changed my Drag link and steering wheel was off center. Thanks to your video 15 minutes and all is good.

Spinning to the back is left
Spinning to the front is right
Thanks😊
Thanks

It definitely could
Steering wheel gotta go clockwise, turn drag link counter clockwise and vice versa.
Sounds like your jeep is running as your adjusting. Is this necessary to have it on?

Does this work on a Jeep Liberty KK as well?
I have no idea. I’m not familiar with the suspension setup on that vehicle.
My link does not turn that easy
Spray some penetrating oil on it. It’s probably got a bit of rust in the threads.
