Did a muffler delete on my wrangler. Sounds crazy now. Best FREE mod I have ever done.
After many years, and many different vehicles,Ive come to the epiphany that I DO NOT want my vehicles to have loud exhausts. Not for daily driving, not for offroading, not for any other reason than manually shifting a sports car(preferably 8 cylinders or more), around some twisty up n down roads in the middle of nowhere.
Romen: "A V6 is never gonna be something that makes your heart racing"
VR38DETT: Am I a joke to you?
Definitely sounds better. Could have & should have sounded like that from the factory.
Pretty nice score from Magnaflow.😊😊
Roman, I think this Wrangler may be one of your top 3 buys for the channels!! This has so may top quality goodies that you paid pennies on the dollar for buying it used. It’s well cared for and has performed very well!! Now it sounds as right as you will get with the Pentastar V6. A motor I truly dislike, but it’s gotten to be quite reliable now. Well done!! 😊😊
Magnaflow has that unit set up as “tune able “ quiet and loud options depending on the differ t style cap.
That's a Helmholz quarter-wave tuning chamber. It helps reduce or eliminate highway drone.
Reminds me of when someone just had to replace a steering wheel. At least with this rig, we know it is going to be around awhile. (vs short term ownership wasted money) I for 1 would not spend a penny on doing this to a V6. Only maintaining its abilities to do the job it was designed to do. lol
I put a JBA cat-back system on my 2000 4Runner with the 3.4L V-6 and it sounds better than I expected. It doesn't drone at highway speed and it kind of purrs when I accelerate and at idle. It reminds me of my old 633csi BMW. It doesn't sound "farty" like some V-6 exhaust systems can sound. It was also 1/2 the price of Magnaflo or Borla. It may be all in my head, but it feels a little peppier too.
i have the Magnaflow rock crawler exhaust on my Glad..sounds great
That is one good-looking and Great sounding Jeep, great video guys
Didn’t know AEV was established in Montana. Good to know. Learn something new everyday.
I'm at the opposite end when it comes to noise. I have a 4Runner with TRD exhaust and wonder if there is a bolt on muffler that is extremely quiet. Non TRD muffler is not bolt on unless I replace the entire cat back. Don't want to cut an weld either.
Honestly my cheaper FlowMaster sounds a lot better. Could be because it is a 6spd man, has a snorkel and throttle spacer. ( I bought it like this. TBH I probably would not have added any of that to my build. But it sounds great)
Those Magnaflow kits, especially the overland ones, are definitely expensive. I run a Flowmaster on my Colorado and a MBRP on my wife’s Gladiator. Like half the price of the Magnflows.
Just put on a MF overland exhaust on my 4Runner TRD Pro because my wife and I could not stand the drone of the TRD cat-back exhaust. I installed the extra resonator to reduce drone as much as possible and it was great. It sounds as good as the OEM but without that drone at highway RPM.
Just put a rough country dual exhaust on my wife's Wrangler. Not much of a difference. I was told to remove the resonator if I wanted the louder sound out of it.
Any more vids featuring the exhaust sound on road or trail?
Why did you guys build a big barn/ shop and install a lift only to take your simple muffler install to an installer? Maybe you guys have a friendship with Dan but you could have done it in your own place.
My jk jeep wrangler rubicon has the 3.8 v6 and it has the stock exhaust but with a airflow system on it
It would be awesome if you put an edlebrock super charger on it , and I think edlebrock will stand by the factory warranty, I have only seen a couple videos on this and they were not well done
Sounds a lot better 👍🏻
i deleted the muffler on my 2007 sahara. it has the 3.8l v6 with no resonator. its really throaty
🎶 Do you know the muffler man? The muffler man? Do you know the muffler man? His name is Dan. 🎶
Is that tank green?
MagnaFlow Off-road Exhaust would have given it a rumble more like a V8 and freed up that space underneath for rock lights.
Why have a brand new lift at Tummble Weed if no one turns a wrench?
when i had my jeep, granted it was the 2.0 I4, there was no way i was going to replace the exhaust cause it already sounded like a vacuum stock haha.
But you could have made it sound like a vacuum on crack. 😂🤪😂🤪
@@garretlewis4103 lmao
Sounds decent. Def a step in the right direction
Maybe ripp supercharged be cool upgrade 😊
I know it wront sound like V8 more like car but use own 3.6 in my ram so know it not easy finding right exhaust for it
Should have went magnaflo magnapack for a better sound
GM’s 3800 V6 sound amazing actually
Yeah, how did Alfa make their v6 sound good?
Bigger exhaust systems hang lower which will compromise its off roads abilities. Also there is nothing to make that engine sound good.
You need to do the intake as well to get the full effect of the exhaust. Done this with multiple cars and trucks, get a cat back put on, mmm yeah thats ok, swap out the intake omg thats so much better
Yes instead of sounding shitty, let's make it sound really shitty
Next sell your catalytic converters for better sounds
All of that matched with loud off road tires, a bunch of accessories that deflect wind, and a roof that doesn't seal properly. These jeeps are probably some of the shittiest vehicles around... my friends 2021 still had death wobble too
nice video. we has developed a new automatic tire deflators which are the most accurate and fatest. we are searching for a distributor in UK.if u are interested, pls let me know .thanks!
Now you need a cold air intake, headers, and high flow catalytic converters to really wake that jeep up...
You can’t break it, but you can sure dent it! 😂😂😂
That sounded like Nathan gasping for air after running from from the back of your building to the JK. Sorry Nathan but, you don't appear to much of a running like me. 🤣🤣🤣 The new sound is great because it is letting the exhaust to flow way easier. It no longer sounds all choked up.
You don’t need a muffler shop to install an axle back exhaust on a Jeep. You can do it yourself in about an hour.
The V6 is the "fart can" sound... best to keep the exhaust as quiet as possible and open up the intake. But i have to admit it sounds ok from the TH-cam video point of view
The minivan engine…. Eh hem eh hem, excuse me I mean the Pentastar. Probably the least sexy engine on the market. It gets passed around a lot.
Made in the USA!
If/when the new 3.0L straight-six debuts in the JL & JT, Jeep would be well served if they highlight how much better the sound will be versus the V6TT in the Bronco. That thing sounds Terrible.
Straight 6s def sound better than V6! I'm super stoked to see that 3.0 eventually put in everything
You were looking for tough, you got charming? Ouch
Is the muffler guy Norm McDonald's dad??
I was wondering if anyone else noticed! HAHAHA
Chrysler is still staying Chrylser, that engine is so wimpy, I agree on all things Stelantis, they're missing the boat, and not surprising, american manufacturer's continue to cheapen out, and charge more. I hope this fed rise on everything, we start to see this bubble pop, but I don't think the left want that...I won't go there...great job guys!
67 dollars wow
Thanks for the fun video!
Had to leave positive comment since there was quite a few negative Nancy's crying over nothing serious 😂
Newer V6 Jeep Wranglers- any problems with cams & lifters, or rear end yet? 😮
392 or Nothing
My TJ 4.0L w/ a Flowmaster is mistaken for a V8 all the time 😁
At least do the viewer the courtesy of labeling this video sponsored content, geez. Nice commercial.
Noise pollution is still a desirable feature?
Yes 100%
Yes, it is!
I hear y’all. I mean I would make vroom sounds as a kid but it stopped being a thing at some point. From the days of putting my daughter down for bed to valuing peace as I’ve gotten older to being considerate of other people, I got past my appreciation of noise
@@t.breeze8659 I'm 54 and still love the sound of a good exhaust. Yes V8 or V12 is the best. Also love the sounds of drums, guitar, bass, piano, metal screams, ice hockey skates on a clean sheet of ice, the puck hitting the back of the net or bar down, woman's heels on a hard floor (My wife's of course) and yes the sound of camp sites.
@@dealy9268 I’m not mad at any of that. I’m 53 and still enjoy live music and attending an occasional NFL or MLB game.
Pentastars are just not good sounding motors. Challenger, Chargers, Jeeps doesn't matter they always sound so bad.
Hope it was wiped down clean before install/ running the motor..heat can make fingerprints stick :)!
Put pipes your jeep so it makes more noise on the trails? Roman's comment about "make it louder" is obnoxious. Why not just throw beer cans and sandwich wrappers out the window too? I get performance exhausts for street vehicles, but if your vehicle is gonna be used for wheeling off road then cool it with the loud pipes.
Bro, just admit that you’re wrong and quietly move on with your life. :-)
Relax. It's not that serious.
I like to call these “compliance” videos whereby content creators make one short video in order to get free stuff.
And what’s wrong with that??? You get a free video with a interesting topic.
(Mic Drop)
What is your point? If magnaflow offered you an exhaust if you make a TH-cam video you would likely make a video too.
@@spcnearyWell Said
@@spcnearyNo way.
Everyone doesn't want to be an influencer for everything that is offered.
Louder gross sounding exhaust matched with loud off road tires, rattly dashboard and door cards, a bunch of accessories that catch and deflect wind, and a roof that doesn't seal properly. These jeeps are probably some of the shittiest vehicles to drive around... my friends 2021 still had death wobble too
Relax. It's not that serious.
@mimimurder14 have you driven one? I drove a brand new one and it was worse than just about anything
@macbook802 Yeah, I drive new ones every day. They drive better than any wrangler before while still performing great off-road. Your friend probably never rotated his tires, hit a curb, and threw off the alignment or never got the steering damper recall performed. User error.
@mimimurder14 her jeep was brand new, brand new "professional" upgrades by the most renowned jeep shop in arizona. Probably 100k into it and still drives and feels like crap plus death wobble lol.
@macbook802 Haha, well there ya go. If it was modified, you can't blame the manufacturer 🤷🏽♂️
Aftermarket parts and the shop not knowing what to look for are what to blame.
Definitely not as good as the bronco they did on @mattsoffroadrecovery, but better!
