  • Straighting the steering wheel on your Jeep Wrangler tj/lj is so simple, why pay someone else to do it for you
In todays video we show to how to straighten the steering wheel on my 2006 jeep tj wrangler, this will also work the many others jeeps - xj zj yj and more, it is very easy and straight forward and can be done in your own garage with minimal tools.
Thank your for watching the Cheap Jeeper youtube channel we are not professional at all but we love making working on our 2010 Jeep Wrangler jk, we love finding cheap and budget friendly ways to modify your jeep. Not everyone has a massive budget to build a Jeep Wrangler on 40 inch tyres, hopefully some of the videos have helped you save a bit of money when working on your jeep.
Building a jeep doesn't have to exepensive. I hope some of my videos can help you save a little bit of money when building and working on your own jeep tj. #jeeptj #jeepwrangler #jeep

I'm literally speachless. Been taking my jeep to alignment place after alignment place for year's. Told me I had to rebuild my whole suspension so I did. Still the stearing wheel was to
the left. I literally watched this and now after 5 minutes my stearing wheel is 100% straight. God bless you!

My steering is off about 10 degrees on the 1998 TJ. I will need to adjust mine as well. Your Jeep is much cleaner than mine underneath! Nice! 😎😉

My '05 TJ Rocky Mtn has been driving at 1 o'clock for a while. I have the Currie Currectlync steering system on with the Fox steering stabilizer. So not as easy as the stock setup. The Currie bolts are an absolute pita to budge and the Fox ss is pressurized which is causing this to be a 1 all of the time. The road will bend left and I'm still at 1, drives me nuts! I really want this steering to be tight and perfectly straight. Spent a lot to get it right, yet not seeing the results. The local garages are clueless as how to get this done. Just have to get some penetrating fluid to get these bolts loose and take it from there, hopefully this will work. Anyway, great video!

@@JeepTJWheelin that sucks, shouldn’t be that hard, hopefully with a bit of WD40 and heat you will be able to get it, I feel your pain. Last thing you could do is take the steering wheel off and move it over a little bit

They didn't even do that when I took it to the shop. Just told me too bad and they can't fix it. I'm so confused as to why alignment specialists had no clue how to fix it

I noticed your bottom of the Jeep looked like mine, and mine’s a righty. I was confused because I’ve only seen one other RHD Jeep, but it wasn’t a TJ. Then, you showed your driver side. At last! Another righty! I have an 06 TJ RHD and I absolutely love it. I’ve been having the same issue with the steering wheel, so I’m excited to see if this’ll fix it.

  • @timg0222

Good job, easy fix. A trick I found to make it easier for one person to do this is to put a piece of white or light colored tape on top of the steering wheel where I feel the wheel is going to be straight or centered. After I turn the collar on the drag link a little, I can easily see the tape and where it is now positioned. No more getting up and looking inside each time. Hope that helps for the next time. :)

I slid into a curb , in my 97 TJ, the passenger front wheel made contact with the curb which bent my lower control arm bracket and threw off my steering wheel so I’m gonna try this.
