  • The RV toilet in my 2008 Forest River Wildwood Camper leaked. Upon inspection it would appear the the Blade Seal in the Aqua-Magic V had gone bad and the bowl would not hold water. A Replacement seal was in the area of $12-50, plus labor. I decided rather than to start replacing parts, I'd purchase a new toilet that should last my lifetime... Smilz. On Amazon it was around $135, free shipping - I'd do the install and record this video. It was an easy task to remove and install the new toilet, and the toilet performs as advertised. Install took less than 30 minutes, first RV toilet I'd ever replaced. An easy DIY project for sure........

Thanks for this. I'm a newly single mom of two living in a camper and when I saw my toilet leaking yesterday I was worried. This showed me how easy it is to fix!

@@udgrin2 Just replaced my toilet an hour or so ago. Would have been super simple if I had a longer supply hose. The one for the old toilet was about 6 inches too short. I had a piece of 10 inch pex and some fasteners I made work. It's not the best job, but it does what it's supposed to do with no leaks (for now). I need to buy some more pex just in case something breaks anyway. Several more fasteners too. Maybe I get this done right, but I have about 10 other projects I'd like to do first, lol.

If that toilet made it 13 years before it needed to be replaced, that's the model I want! What did you remove? Was it a Thetford also?

I never measured it! I replaced an exact same toilet and used the new gasket that came with the toilet...
