I think this is around the time Sandler started splitting his projects - instead of just making seriously funny movies, he dropped the funny voices that paved his early days as a standup comic musician, started stepping into more serious roles on one side, while also embracing the feels-good wholesome vibes of "family" comedy. I saw both this and Funny People in theaters - they couldn't be more different in terms of style, tone, and maturity.
Im so glad you did this one! Its an underappreciated Adam Sandler movie for sure !

One movie no one on TH-cam ever reacted to - "The Dragon Hunters" from 2008, barely anyone heard of it but it's one of my favourite childhood movies and actually a beautiful classic fairytale story, I strongly recommend it
I remember watching Dragon Hunters 2010ish - I was blown away by the gorgeous animation and pretty shocked I'd never heard of it. I'm still amazed at how few ppl have even heard of it - never stop recommending it! ❤

the idea is that there is no idea or theme for the new Hotel , thats the best thing about a Hotel. I'm in a new Hotel almost every week and the best part about a Hotel is that its a Hotel, there doesnt need to be a theme for a Hotel because a Hotel is its own thing. a Hotel themed Hotel
If you haven't seen it yet, I'll suggest Stardust. Good movie, kinda set in England, great cast.

Gosh this was a throwback! Some observations and trivia:
No, the actress playing Violet isn’t British, Teresa Palmer (who I’m pretty sure helped me realize I was bi even as a kid 😂) is actually Australian. Jonathan Pryce, who played Skeeter’s dad, is actually British!
I’m not sure if you recognized the hotel owner, Nottingham, is also from Harry Potter; he was Uncle Vernon!
Yeah Russell Brand’s presence in movies hasn’t aged well (being with Katy Perry at the time probably helped to keep his image positive in Hollywood but yikes the way he broke up with her) but the “AAAAAHHH, I’m innocent!” still makes me lose it 😂 probably even more now.
Adam Sandler’s wife, Jackie, saw Keri Russell (Jill) in the movie Waitress (really good movie, definitely recommend it) and was the one who first suggested Keri for the love interest role in this movie.

The best Adam Sandler comedy by far
This is generally one of my top favorite films but I haven't watched it in a good few months so seeing a reaction to this film is amazing also can never forget the part with the Ferrari where he says for free aha also love how the film is in general
