A little tip on the exhaust bushings (if you’re not aware),try spraying wd-40 or a silicone spray lubricant in between the hanger and the bushing. It makes pulling those bushings off way easier. It also helps prevent the bushings from cracking and sticking to the hanger. Love the build and content btw!
I went to subaru to buy a WR blue sti the lapis was parked right next to it and when they were side by side I was like yup lapis blue it is. Completely changed my mind when seeing it. Such an executive looking color
Beautiful exhaust. Basically agree with everything you've said. I've been torn as well with regard to the volume of the Cobb exhausts. I love the quality, they've just always been a touch too quiet for me. I have the AWE touring on order... hoping to have it in a month or so.

Yup, seconding the hanger tool cus it will save you so much timing and pain. Even if you're only gonna use it once or twice, it's worth the 20 bucks for the time saved.
AWE touring would sound so good, im running one on my STI and im never getting rid of it, and the best part is that if i you want louder (its already got pretty good loudness tbh) you can just order the touring to track conversion which are pretty much muffler deletes.
I know it’s a PITA but turn those tip clamps around so that the bolt is on on the inside. It much less noticeable and looks cleaner IMO. If I could do it again, I would have lined up the tips beforehand and tighten the clamps so that the bolts are horizontal up top. That way, you can’t really see them at all. It’ll get deeper and louder in time.

Does Cobb have an Australian dealer? When I decide to change my stock exhaust this is the route I will take as I’ll save weight 24lbs ( 11kgs ) or so and looks amazing with sound to match. If anyone has link please let me know. It’s a 2019 Australian spec right hand drive sti.
Of course you get the exhaust I wanna throw on my wrx after coming from an ETS extreme back to stock catback. Beautiful bro. Side note, my car made it to Caesar’s IG story yesterday and you were on there too. We bros now
I love the sound of this! I have a noob question. Do you know if I could I throw this on my bone stock 21 wrx? I haven’t done my research at all since I have no plans to change but this video is convincing me otherwise.
yes, this will bolt up to an otherwise stock wrx/sti no problem. The flange on the midpipe is actually flared to be fitted against a stock downpipe/jpipe.
The good thing is, there are plenty of options to choose from. I too strayed away from the quieter options for many years. I always went for the loudest or most aggressive sounding exhaust out there. While I still do love me an aggressive and loud exhaust, experiencing this one has taught me a lot. I always felt that if I didn't feel/hear drone in the cabin, the exhaust wasn't loud enough. After hearing this thing outside the car and just the overall tone and sound it provides, it opened a whole new page for me. Loud isn't always the answer! But you are right, this isn't a loud option. It's one of the more tame exhausts out there. However, saying it's not as loud as the competition out there isn't really a valid argument. It's not meant to be louder or more aggressive than the competition.
I hear you on that, but for me personally I like the quieter “gentleman” sound for sure. I like not having to piss off the neighbors LOL! The beauty is that there are lots of options to choose from, so you can find exactly what sounds you’re aiming at!
@@Autofreakgarage loud isn't always the answer but i do want louder than stock. Also how it sounds is important and the cobb I just didn't like how it sounded. Ive heard a cobb in person so I know they are quiet but a lot of TH-cam videos can be misleading depending on how good the equipment is that captured the sound clips. Im also not a fan of the invidia q300. It didn't sound bad but again was a bit too quiet for my taste. Nameless muffler deletes were okay but the drone wasn't worth it. The tomei is loud but no drone which is nice but at the cost of being obnoxious. It is all just dependent on what you are looking for what sounds good is different for each person.
@@Autofreakgarage that works lol and thank you just watched it in it’s entirety. Your build is goals. But to afford all those mods I’m gonna have sell my butt cheeks on the corner 😂😂

Let’s gooooo
I'd like to see ur setup with a Tomei lol
Haha no thanks. It would be just as loud as my delta setup.
AWE would be a very different tone. Much deeper. Probably not much louder.
For sure! Titanium has a very distinct sound so anything other than this would provide a different sound.
Beauty!
Of course you get the exhaust I wanna throw on my wrx after coming from an ETS extreme back to stock catback. Beautiful bro.
Side note, my car made it to Caesar’s IG story yesterday and you were on there too. We bros now
What do you look for when checking for leaks ??
Air coming out the connection points. You can feel them right away.
@@Autofreakgarage That is awesome news, thanks! I may have to add this to my bucket list for the car after I ceramic coat it with some gtechniq.
i have a cobb as well~ whatcha doing with the delta motorworks hmmm???????
Already sold haha
@@Autofreakgarage darn lol
What wheels are those? And your wheel/tire specs?

Is this louder than the SPT exhaust the STI's have from stock?
I would say so yes. On a stock STI, it’s probably very similar volume. But with my setup, it’s definitely louder than that.
Chris did u run catted set up or cattless??
Cats. Would never run catless on these cars.
Got same exhaust set up as u
But no rasp lol lol lol
Running factory cat tho
Got to say I'm not a fan of the cobb exhaust. I feel it isn't as aggressive sounding or loud as a lot of the competition.
How well do these titanium exhausts handle heat and corrosion?
Very well. Titanium handles both better than steel and resistant to corrosion.
Does it come with an adapter for the cat I just ordered a catback from Cobb and was thinking about it
What adapter are you referring to?

@@Autofreakgarage that works lol and thank you just watched it in it’s entirety. Your build is goals. But to afford all those mods I’m gonna have sell my butt cheeks on the corner 😂😂
