We honestly need a reboot of the 2nd movie it took the "Giant Monster vs Giant Robot" aspect out of the story and turned it into some kind of anime destruction mayhem movie. The first Movie took an attention to detail where they avoid to destroy things as much as possible, and yhe 2nd one ignored all that. Let us not even mention how acrobatic the movements of each jaeger was, undermining the fact that they are literally giant robots who weigh a ton turned into something as light as a gymnast. The 2nd movie just took out the immersion, really.
from what i hear of it ya redo that and as another asks just more of the series. i do want to see it still just so i know because i have watched the first one and loved the fucking daylights out of it, now its second movie for judging how bad it is and than the anime too.

the creators of the kaiju use a blueprint of a huge organism with the morphologic characteristics all kaijus share and this organism has a way to reproduce. I could imagine that the creators don't need to put effort in making them not reproduceable as the kaijus are used as weapons and sooner or later die anyway. in battle with wthatever initiate their creation or afterwards when the world is clear for colonizing. So origin is some huge scaled creature the creator used as a blueprint the biology is the basic structure enhanced and equipped with (in my opinion) more or less random weapon adaptations and the life cycle is about getting big fast and charge with hyper-aggression the next thing that could be a problem for the creator or the following act of terraforming
I can say that the Mega Kaiju in Uprising is a Cat. 6, since Hakuja and Shrikethorn when combined make a Cat. 5, Raijin a Cat. 5 by default combined with the other two make a Cat. 6
what i will say is with the development of sexual orgians being confirmed i suspect as time effected thies beasts sense austrailia was lost in the anime series (i want to watch it but got no ideas for were not even pirate sites.) so i suspect given the anime takes place after time has passed and the antiverse has been disconnected the kaiju have intrun did what anything that has a pule does, evolve but because of their design they did so in a RAPID pace.
If they are smart enough to biologically engineer these monsters wouldn’t they have some smarter way? Like a bombs or death beams? Or would that make the land uninhabitable?
The reason for why the jaegers mostly use blunt force or cauterising weapons (if I remember correctly) is to minimise the amount of toxic blood spilled so that less area is polluted and destroyed

They did had melee weapons so Instead of 👊 blunt force is just going to make the blood spread and can achieve more power from a bullet with a flatter or rounded surface.
