I love my Datavac ED 500,I would strongly recommend it to any pc owners. Has plenty of different mouth pieces & a really powerful motor. It blows your computer clean in a very short time. It's about at the size of a really small coffee pot,so no longer need to pull out the compressor :) Price varies so be sure to check it out at different places & you can save 25-50% depending on US or EU connection and voltages.

Cid1 I have one of those too, ordered it from Amazon in 2011. I wear earmuffs when using it as it is quite loud, and it gets hot, but it blows air like nobody's business.
I purchased one of these about 18 months ago. Best thing I've ever done. It has already paid for itself by not having to spend the money on the aerosol cans. Though it does have the sound of an 80mm turbo at full boost, it does the job quite well and has kept my systems relatively clean. Highly recommend it.
your not wrong I got the X3 Hurricane which is meant to do 418+ Kmh the thing is fucken useless, I got my money back and got a DataVac Pro never looked back.

I use the same Hurricane on a near daily basis. For most uses, I prefer it over canned air. Canned air works fantastically for short, powerful bursts. Those short bursts are a bit more powerful than the hurricane. However, after the initial burst, canned air performance drops off precipitously. In very short order -- 30-45 seconds -- the can begins to freeze up & performance becomes unsatisfactory, then unusable. The can is then out of commission until it warms and thaws. For many folks, that's probably not a big deal. However, my job entails PM'ing some systems and components that get very dirty and dusty. Each one requires a minimum of 3-4 minutes of good, solid PSI's. I would need at least 3 or 4 cans of air to complete a given project, then another 3-4 for the next one while I wait for each of the cans to thaw and 'refresh'. So, while the Hurricane doesn't have quite as much force as the can does at the maximum, it's performance is consistent, and over all is more than adequate. The thin layer of dust that the hurricane doesn't move ALSO doesn't get moved effectively by the canned air, in my experience. For me, I' keep a can of air nearby, but the hurricane is definitely my go-to for dust evacuation.
Yeah definitely do your research. I went and bought a $30 one and it sucked or it didn't suck. I would start from like the $6 and up one and watch a video on it. I just got mine in the mail today and it was worthless. Literally worthless. I need some strong air push for my PC so I'm going to watch a bunch of different videos and reviews and I'm probably just going to have to flush out the money and pay a pretty penny for a good one. Like you see the ones where you actually have to plug in the wall I guarantee those ones will blow your house down which is probably what I want but then again those are like a hundred plus dollars
Had one for a few years, unfortunately they only last maybe 50 full charges before the battery dies and doesn’t hold charge anymore. Just get a cheap corded one, will do a better job and pretty much last forever. Also just realising Jays old outro was a complete rip off of Markipliers old outro music 😂
We use these at work because most companies now ban aerosol based products for company EHS reasons. The Hurricane, combined with a vacuum to pick up the loose dust, works very well when cleaning out dusty systems, switches, servers, etc. Makes them look like new. Even some of the dust that cakes a bit on the boards gets knocked loose with the Hurricane. Yes it is ~$100-$150, but it lasts quite a while as long as you don't constantly run the motor when the battery is low. The only failures we have had with the Hurricane is people dropping it, or constantly running the fan until the battery completely runs out (it burns out the motor if you constantly do this). It essentially the same kind of brush-less motor they use on RC Planes. BTW, with air compressors, you still have to watch out for moisture being produced from those systems. I use an air compressor at home, but you have to have a water filter system with those to trap the moisture that comes out.
At the price you might as well spend another $75 and get a really good air compressor that'll make the air pressure of the hurricane look like childs play...plus you get to use air tools
I have the Data Vac. It needs power from the wall and it's about as loud as a vacuum, but it's really good in terms of airflow. With one of the big nozzles, it pushes and dents the skin of your hand and I've used it to clean my and other PCs multiple times. It works flawless and I've even used it to clean dusty parts of my room.
I use a small air compressor I bought from Harbor Freight with a 50% off coupon and it works great. Although I have seen videos of others using leaf blowers to clean their systems as well. No harm in what I use or others as long as you get nice circulation when using your method of choice.
I use a DataVac ED500, and oh boy is it insanely loud. But it's incredibly powerful, far more than this or any canned air could ever be. It's blow leaves off your porch levels air movement. It even allowed me to save a STRIX 970 that had water all over it even filled the gap between the backplate and the PCB, within a few hours. I dumped it over on a towel to get the water out, let it sit for a bit, went to town on it with the data vac, let it sit a while longer, and did some final blowing and checking. After that we re-installed it into my friends rig and it has functioned flawlessly ever since. I got mine on sale for $40, but you can find it for sale between there and $50. Try not to pay the $60-65 price they have it going for most of the time on Amazon.
I've got an old airbrush compressor I use with a modified nozzle (bic pen), cheap I know but it works. Couple that with a variety of old modelling paint brushes, IPA etc I can keep my rig clean on the inside fairly easily I do use a dustbuster/minivac in combination with the other bits....kinda reminds me I do need to give my rig a clean again......might even spend time sorting the cable looms out
I have the Metro Vacuum and have used the Hurricane Canless air system. It's less portable than the Hurricane but waaaay stronger. Just as loud and just as scary to cats which is fun as heck. I'd love to actually own a Hurricane though for portable cleaning.
I prefer the Metro Datavac ED-500. That thing has a 500 watt motor and is built out of steel. This one looks like it's made primarily out of plastic, and the battery will wear out eventually. Good job on the review though - I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!
One thing i would like to see from this was a pressure test or some sort of blow measuring test to see if the airless can was as good or better then the canned air. Still enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work and Good Luck for Skunkworks 3.0 Jay
I just use a compressor because well I have a 2.5hp one that I use now and again for my job and I dont really wont to keep buying air in a can. But good video as always jay.
Thanks for the review mate helped me decide,i won`t buy that product It really seems weak, even compared to an air can i use a large air compressor,it can blow my teeth out if i am not careful, but i can control the force, so it's great It is large and bulky, very heavy to pull out for one clean,so i was hoping to replace it,but so far i havent found a nice portable solution like that What about a vacuum cleaner that has a reverse air port? i use to have a filter queen vacuum that had that, and it would have more than one use I still hope for a portable solution Cheers for the help
I just bought this product and you do actually need to charge it out of the box. I noticed yours sounded exactly like mine before I did a complete charge after which is was much more powerful. Did you actually do a full charge before this review?
I actually have this air compressor with a attached airbrush pen (Wich never has been used with paint) and it works really well, its actually stronger than canned air, and not as loud as the system you showed here.
I stopped using canned air to clean my PC several years ago. I use canned air for small things like getting metal shavings out of a hole I just tapped. When it comes to cleaning keyboards or my PC case, I use the blowing end of the shop vac now.
Personally I use only 1 can of air. It had a hole drilled into it once it was emptied completely and a bicycle tube valve stuck into the hole with a bit of super high strength epoxy. It does a great job ad when it's empty again I just stick the bicycle pump on and it's soon good to go again.
Try the Metro Vacuum ED500P instead that garbage. Pros: - Is far more powerful - Made in USA - Entirely body made of steel. - Never run out of batteries, you've to plug it (it has a long cable, so shouldn't be a problem) - Comes with useful accessories for different cations. - 5 years of Motor Warranty. - Cost around the same and is much better in all ways. Cons: - It's even louder.
You're so gosh darn entertaining to watch, Jay. You made a video about canned air and I managed to get through the entire thing start to finish. Keep doing what you're doing man!
My dad's old work gave him these instead of the usual air dusters they used to cut costs. They don't even compare to compressed air -- they barely work
I use a system called ReAir it came out like back in the CompUSA days. It looks just like the normal compressed air but it has a regular tire valve just like on a vehicle or bicycle and it came with a compressor to refill it, however I use my tire compressor for my car and attach that to the canister and it works without that high pitch noise, yet it's also noisy but not to that ear shattering scream of the Hurricane product. My tire compressor makes a low pitch noise that's not going to leave your ears ringing.
SeriouslyMikey it's reusable, with canned air you have to buy more after you finish it... 100 bucks is a hefty investment but in like offices or lets say in a car shop something like this is very valuable and will save you money in the long run.
DrrrreeeeeammmmmM and considering you can buy 24 cans of air for 32$ the price doesn't justify it. and you can buy a cheaper one if you like spending money www.amazon.com/CompuCleaner%C2%AE-Compressed-Electric-Computer-Disposable/dp/B00S7CH6FK/ref=lp_3012916011_1_19?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1429913932&sr=1-19

For the price of this, you can buy a small compressor and do a much better job than this. It takes a bit more space and it can be loud, but at least it does the job like it's supposed to do.
I will stick with my compressor, it too is noisy but I can inflate tires, sports balls, spray paint, run pneumatic tools, and I can run it outside to build up the pressure and only annoy the neighbors. I also clean my PCs outside anyway, the dust is better out there than back in the house.
+smokingheadshot Could THAT be why it has a drier? Painting is not good with water either yet how many use air from a compressor to paint. Oh I also have a regulator to drop the pressure when I use air to clean things. Those can air things are more likely to spit liquid on your system than my compressor.
+smokingheadshot Water is not very good in braking systems either but have you ever asked yourself how trucks stop when they have air brakes? It might be that most decent air compressors have a built in air dryer just for that purpose!!
Not sure about this one but I got a datavac electric duster a couple years ago and it is awesome. It's loud but not nearly as whiny (but I really give no cares about the noise) and a great investment in my book. Mine also plugs straight in so no battery shenanigans and it definitely moves a ton more air than a can and I'm assuming one of these as well. I got it on sale for about $60 on newegg and has already paid for itself in money saved vs, buying canned air. Don't have all those cans to throw away either.
When I dust my PCs I do it outdoors with an air compressor in my garage. It's powerful, rechargeable, and versatile. I'd recommend investing in a compressor instead.
after seeing the price tag on these a few months ago, i baught a datavac from amazon. Its no quieter, and isnt as portable (corded and made of steel) but i mean, no charging, and its a bit stronger. And if you like good build quality, its a freaking tank.
I have a small hobby compressor I use to paint models with. I still prefer canned air because it seems to have more PSI and it's just easier. The Hobby Compressor is small and lightweight but its still a pain having to set it all up and everything just to dust a small area. I have used it though because I am out of canned air. I might look into this.
harbor freight 3 gallon pancake air compressor, inline air dryer, and a 8 foot hose, with a blow gun on the end. turn the regulator down to less than 50 psi and you're off to the races. works great, and it's less than 100 bucks. pays for itself after one summer in arizona..
No shit, I had to use a leaf blower once on a server to get all the dust out. It looked like an old steam train for about half an hour while all the dust made its way out. It probably was nearly as loud as this thing too.
Thanks for your review, at least I know that that it's not good. 1) Expensive 2) Less power than can air 3) Extremely loud and annoying 4) Using a brush on electronics is a bad idea and defeats the purpose of using air to clean
My only question that I don't think you clearly answered in the video is, for the price is the can-less air system worth the money, despite the minor negatives? I am strongly considering getting one.
A $40 Ryobi tire inflator with the needle attachment for pumping up footballs works great. It's pretty much just a mini air compressor. One caveat, be careful using it on electronics - as with all air compressors it produces a minute amount of water.
Just curious Jay, how come you haven't invested in an Air Compressor??? I searched online for a decent, high flow, but low cost one, and manage to find a portable Briefcase size compressor for €100, about $110. It's has easily 3-5 times the air flow rate on canned air so it seriously blows the dust out, and of course it never runs out or loses pressure. Plus you can do your car tyres and stuff with it. It's saved me money in the long run, canned air being around €3+ per can and needing 2 or 3 cans per clean, it paid for itself really quick. Just my 2 cents :)
Canned Air Fun: Find your co-workers favorite coffee mug. Give it a spritz. Completely harmless, but the coffee from that mug will never taste the same again.
At home I got a compressor that is incredibly huge, about the size of a car which and it got a immensive amount of flow once released. Have to be careful so I don't break anything by pure airflow but the case gets reaaalllyy clean. (think factory new)
I have had a Micro attachment kit for a vacuum cleaner for quite a while It sucks rather than blows which I prefer (blowing usually just blows the dust from one awkward spot into another awkward spot lol) I got it off of Ebay, if anyone is interested just type in something along the lines of ' vacuum cleaner micro attachment'
Definitely do your research. I went in the emergency case I went and bought the cheapest one which was like I think $24.99. It said it did like eight or nine thousand RPM and literally mine was it sucked from one end and then the back exhaust from the sucking it blew it out the other end for the blower. And it was not good at all. I am going to send it back and actually get the next tier up which was around $60. Wish I think is the range of what J2 cents was showing? Which I wish you had showed it with like just a thin nozzle but I don't know if that one looks that good but there are some that have videos and I'm going to watch like the top five but don't go for the cheap $30 one I would say start at like $60 and up. And I guess look for the higher rpms but I'm going to watch some more videos and and see.
Just get a wired Datavac ED500 Duster. Its also incredibly loud, but it also has nearly 2/3rd HP and will shove enough volume of air through a PC that it will get dust out of crevices you can't fit anything into.
Hey JayzTwo Cents I like your videos, but in this case I'm confused. Is this product any better than canned air? The video doesn't show actually if this cannless system blows out dust better or worse than can of compressed air, the video is not convincing enough. This is my only complaint about it.
Jay! You are awesome! Thanks for inspiring me to build a custom computer as well as start losing weight. Enjoy your vacation, I can't wait to see what you have planned!
A small $60 air compressor from harbor freight ($35 with coupons) will last much longer and in the long run be much less expensive. Also doesn't freeze
Nice video Jay! Although i find it a little hard, to judge the performance based on what i saw. I would like to hear from you if the air pressure matches caned air?
Vids still rocking. Seems much more real than some other channels. Love Linus' videos and some others, but yours seem much more streamline and non-script. Keep up the good work man !
Whats that thing cost.... like $100aud? probably more in australia just buy yourself a cheap air compressor for like $150 and a vapor trap for like $7........ you'll not only have more air power but an actual tool that you can use for other things like say.... inflating your tires, bike wheels, painting etc............
the first and only time i used canned air some of the liquid stuff came out and damaged my PCIE slot and i had to get new motherboard so i went and got a metro ED500 datavac and it's the best thing i ever did
Jay did you cut those holes in your case yourself 5:14 and if you did how did you prevent them from showing rust. When i cut my case rust spots showed up after a while.
Would you recommend this for doing things like blowing out a dusty keyboard? I noticed you only used a flat surface so it was hard to gauge the true air pressure. Love your videos man
i'm thinking of investing in a compressor with a 10 gallon tank which is wayyyyy more expensive but i think would work out cheaper in the long run, i live in a very dusty area too so i think in the long run it'll work out.
I just use an air compressor. Home depot sells one that gets up to only 65db and will last much longer and work much better then that thing. Plus you can use it for other things besides cleaning off electronics. Side note vacuum is better then canned air any day as it just doesn't push it around but actually removes it. If the vacuum is strong just pull it away a little bit from what you are clean and you should be good to go.
Or just use your big air compressor from the garage/shop with the appropriate filter/separator to remove the moisture that's mounted inline with a wand... it's faster and it's a one hit wonder as the dust doesn't have a chance at settling back down in the case again. This is especially useful for radiator fins... it'll look like a cat flew out the back of your PC! Massdrop, why not drop some filters for these folks and some Dyson vacs to finish the job... maybe? Hindsight, if I didn't have something better, I would use the Hurricane over the "headache in a can."
I like to use a compressor with a vacuum to suck out off the junk. Might have to get one of these due to the fact that it is small and I don't have to move my NZXT full tower.
Everytime I think of canned air, I cringe...remembering how the damn thing gets cold and I'm nowhere near done. Might get something like this (and probably a pair of headphones to cancel out the vacuum cleaner noise).
I feel like there wasnt a visible comparison from our point of view? its super loud giving the impression that it works but no paper test to show if it blows with the same or similar force? though with the price of this and the noise a compressor might as well be the way to go?
That thing doesnt seem to do much Jay, I personally just plug in my pancake Bostitch air compressor, which is 150 psi, cost me only $120 to get the tips needed to blow out a pc with, and came with a small hose.. and heck its more quiet than that little machine lol. Nice video though :)
He didn't really compare their flow, I suspect it's not favorable and he had to edit himself to not bite the hand that feeds him... (pure speculation ofc)
Massdrop doesn't own or make the product nor do they care if we give someone a negative review. These drops are requested by users and not Massdrop. So your speculation is wrong and accuses me of being dishonest which makes you a jerk
***** I suspect what he means is due to the fact you always post quality content with fair side by side comparisons, you didn't really do one here. For reasons which he does not know. Good product none the less.
***** Sorry but it is a bit of a weird omission, I'd never suggest you're being dishonest on purpose, but I have to wonder if getting handed free stuff might not make you subconsciously more favorable to a product compared to if you had to buy it with your own money, especially if you know you'll continue receiving products from them. I know how massdrop works, I bought the modmic from your recommendation and I'm happy with it.
Ok, Im sorry but I can see it doesnt have the power. You might have tried putting some garden dirt on a table and see how both do. That said, you know what does work? A Coleman pump for filling an air mattress. Its still hand held, not too noisy, blows like crazy and has attachments that can pinpoint air. I think I paid about $20. I got to this page because im looking around for re-fillable can options.
I just take my PC into the garage and remove every speck of dust without ever touching a brush to anything using my 26 gallon, 160 psi air compressor. Just be sure the compressor has both a water/oil trap at the regulator and a desiccant dryer (like you use when using an HVLP paint gun) near the gun to remove any moisture. Works great on my radiators.
Lmao that thing is a TOY. I work on eye wateringly expensive computers, servers and control panels for a living, and to clean them I have a 120psi regulated compressor with an inline dryer and ionizing gun.
Hello JayztwoCents , I have corsair D900 and i have so many fans which i need to connect but i cant because i don't quite have a connector there was corsair commmander mini link . which is not available in UK ,I would like to know what should i do i have almost 16 fans . Please do let me know many thanks , keep up the great work you doing
I just use the 3 gallon air compressor I already have for filling up tires occasionally, and dial the pressure back so it doesn't pose any risk to components.
I'm surprised Jay hasn't done a R9 295X2 review yet he does a Titan Black X, Id rather see a 3x R9 295x2 build LOLs the R9 295X2 has been on sale for $600-$700 the past month
That would be nice to have. Buying canned air gets expensive on the long run and it is annoying to use. I toyed around the idea of buying air compressor. It would be loud and could it blow air with not so high pressure? And can I find small tube attachment to it.
I love my Datavac ED 500,I would strongly recommend it to any pc owners. Has plenty of different mouth pieces & a really powerful motor. It blows your computer clean in a very short time. BTW, with air compressors, you still have to watch out for moisture being produced from those systems. I use an air compressor at home, but you have to have a water filter system with those to trap the moisture that comes out.
$120 (Newegg's price) would buy a lot of canned air. $60 (on Sale) buys you a portable 3 gallon air compressor from Harbor Freight.
Well that didnt work at all..
At the price you might as well spend another $75 and get a really good air compressor that'll make the air pressure of the hurricane look like childs play...plus you get to use air tools
inflatable mattress pumps work well too. $15 and multi purpose.
Couple that with a variety of old modelling paint brushes, IPA etc I can keep my rig clean on the inside fairly easily
I do use a dustbuster/minivac in combination with the other bits....kinda reminds me I do need to give my rig a clean again......might even spend time sorting the cable looms out
I have the Metro Vacuum and have used the Hurricane Canless air system.
Everytime I think of canned air, my mind immediately goes to Spaceballs.

***** Gimmie My Phonecall~!
Been there done that 😌
I just use a compressor because well I have a 2.5hp one that I use now and again for my job and I dont really wont to keep buying air in a can.
But good video as always jay.
Thanks for the review mate
helped me decide,i won`t buy that product
It really seems weak, even compared to an air can
i use a large air compressor,it can blow my teeth out if i am not careful, but i can control the force, so it's great
It is large and bulky, very heavy to pull out for one clean,so i was hoping to replace it,but so far i havent found a nice portable solution like that
What about a vacuum cleaner that has a reverse air port? i use to have a filter queen vacuum that had that, and it would have more than one use
I still hope for a portable solution
Cheers for the help
Pros:
- Is far more powerful
- Made in USA
- Entirely body made of steel.
- Never run out of batteries, you've to plug it (it has a long cable, so shouldn't be a problem)
- Comes with useful accessories for different cations.
- 5 years of Motor Warranty.
- Cost around the same and is much better in all ways.
Cons:
- It's even louder.
Roach:
Damn straight. MetroVac so much better than this crap-ass replacement for canned air. I have a MetroVac (white one) and best purchase ever ...
i bought a compressor with humidity removal , it is much much louder(it get quite poweful motor) then that but it cleans everything like a champ.
Over $100? But why?
SeriouslyMikey canned air tends to lose it's fuel fast? this doesnt and last longer? maybe why
DrrrreeeeeammmmmM Just seems like a bit too much for something like this.
SeriouslyMikey it's reusable, with canned air you have to buy more after you finish it... 100 bucks is a hefty investment but in like offices or lets say in a car shop something like this is very valuable and will save you money in the long run.
DrrrreeeeeammmmmM and considering you can buy 24 cans of air for 32$ the price doesn't justify it. and you can buy a cheaper one if you like spending money www.amazon.com/CompuCleaner%C2%AE-Compressed-Electric-Computer-Disposable/dp/B00S7CH6FK/ref=lp_3012916011_1_19?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1429913932&sr=1-19
ferretkiller9454 or this www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-ED500P-500-Watt-Electric/dp/B001U899HQ/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1429914163&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=Datavac+ed+500
There's no way I would ever use a compressor on a computer. You have to know there's moisture that builds up in the system.
Jayz you are best tech youtuber ever! I enjoy watching your vidios, don't stop doing what youre doing!
I might look into this.
why buy one of these when you can by an air bed blower
harbor freight 3 gallon pancake air compressor, inline air dryer, and a 8 foot hose, with a blow gun on the end. turn the regulator down to less than 50 psi and you're off to the races. works great, and it's less than 100 bucks. pays for itself after one summer in arizona..
I have a leaf blower won't that work better?
Static
No, leaf blowers dont make a lot of pressure. They are good for flow but not pressure.
with the right attachments.
No shit, I had to use a leaf blower once on a server to get all the dust out. It looked like an old steam train for about half an hour while all the dust made its way out. It probably was nearly as loud as this thing too.
Thanks for your review, at least I know that that it's not good.
1) Expensive
2) Less power than can air
3) Extremely loud and annoying
4) Using a brush on electronics is a bad idea and defeats the purpose of using air to clean
I have leaf blower for removing dust and it gets the job done quickly :D
My only question that I don't think you clearly answered in the video is, for the price is the can-less air system worth the money, despite the minor negatives? I am strongly considering getting one.
A $40 Ryobi tire inflator with the needle attachment for pumping up footballs works great. It's pretty much just a mini air compressor. One caveat, be careful using it on electronics - as with all air compressors it produces a minute amount of water.
Your link for mass drop doesn't work. Seems like a lot of your giveaways have links or options that don't work or are not as described.
Wouldn't mind an update on what you use these days.
1 get air compressor, 2 get refillable can, 3 win at life.
Whats about a bike pump?
Just curious Jay, how come you haven't invested in an Air Compressor???
I searched online for a decent, high flow, but low cost one, and manage to find a portable Briefcase size compressor for €100, about $110. It's has easily 3-5 times the air flow rate on canned air so it seriously blows the dust out, and of course it never runs out or loses pressure. Plus you can do your car tyres and stuff with it.
It's saved me money in the long run, canned air being around €3+ per can and needing 2 or 3 cans per clean, it paid for itself really quick.
Just my 2 cents :)
haha "it sucks not, it blows" *pause* :D awesome
Canned Air Fun: Find your co-workers favorite coffee mug. Give it a spritz. Completely harmless, but the coffee from that mug will never taste the same again.
At home I got a compressor that is incredibly huge, about the size of a car which and it got a immensive amount of flow once released. Have to be careful so I don't break anything by pure airflow but the case gets reaaalllyy clean. (think factory new)
I have had a Micro attachment kit for a vacuum cleaner for quite a while It sucks rather than blows which I prefer (blowing usually just blows the dust from one awkward spot into another awkward spot lol)
I got it off of Ebay, if anyone is interested just type in something along the lines of
' vacuum cleaner micro attachment'
Man that is way louder than I thought they would be. Wanted one but not anymore....I do not think that is the direction they wanted that to go lol.
This pc your cleaning is SO CLEAN to begin with lmao
Lmao, Jay's version of dirty is most people's idea of clean...
Also doesn't freeze
i clicked the mass drop link and i got

Same Here, i think the drop ended awhile ago, unless this is another one?
william endler www.massdrop.com/buy/o2-canless-air-system found a link
william endler for me too :(
thanks tim (i wasnt worried about it since im already signed up for mass drops and just wannted to see how much it was)
william endler Same thing happened with hardwarecanucks when they had a massdrop giveaway. Screw massdrop, amazon has better pricing.
maybe it's called the hurricane because it's loud :D
Nice video Jay!
Although i find it a little hard, to judge the performance based on what i saw.
I would like to hear from you if the air pressure matches caned air?
Vids still rocking. Seems much more real than some other channels. Love Linus' videos and some others, but yours seem much more streamline and non-script. Keep up the good work man !
Whats that thing cost.... like $100aud? probably more in australia just buy yourself a cheap air compressor for like $150 and a vapor trap for like $7........ you'll not only have more air power but an actual tool that you can use for other things like say.... inflating your tires, bike wheels, painting etc............
rm2kdev It's 150Aud
well there you go lol >.>
the first and only time i used canned air some of the liquid stuff came out and damaged my PCIE slot and i had to get new motherboard so i went and got a metro ED500 datavac and it's the best thing i ever did
Jay did you cut those holes in your case yourself 5:14 and if you did how did you prevent them from showing rust. When i cut my case rust spots showed up after a while.
if you live in an area where dust is a problem an actual air compressor would be best.
or a dust filter.
Would you recommend this for doing things like blowing out a dusty keyboard? I noticed you only used a flat surface so it was hard to gauge the true air pressure. Love your videos man
But is it louder than a Delta fan on full speed? Lol.
WAY louder!
Whoa, Jay replied. Lol dang, that's pretty loud. I'll stick to the regular cans and just take my time haha.
i'm thinking of investing in a compressor with a 10 gallon tank which is wayyyyy more expensive but i think would work out cheaper in the long run, i live in a very dusty area too so i think in the long run it'll work out.
you can get a 3 gallon air compressor for 60 bucks and just as load and works way better that's what i use to fight dust is Arizona
The link in the description for the air system is broken.
***** hi
***** I suspect what he means is due to the fact you always post quality content with fair side by side comparisons, you didn't really do one here. For reasons which he does not know. Good product none the less.
***** you tell that bully who's boss
***** Sorry but it is a bit of a weird omission, I'd never suggest you're being dishonest on purpose, but I have to wonder if getting handed free stuff might not make you subconsciously more favorable to a product compared to if you had to buy it with your own money, especially if you know you'll continue receiving products from them. I know how massdrop works, I bought the modmic from your recommendation and I'm happy with it.
You look older in your old videos and younger in your new videos! Very nice, keep it up! DM me I am interested in the potion of youth you're using.
i'll just keep using the compressor :P
Ok, Im sorry but I can see it doesnt have the power. You might have tried putting some garden dirt on a table and see how both do. That said, you know what does work? A Coleman pump for filling an air mattress. Its still hand held, not too noisy, blows like crazy and has attachments that can pinpoint air. I think I paid about $20. I got to this page because im looking around for re-fillable can options.
Airbrush compressor for 50$, anyone? Works for me^^
I just take my PC into the garage and remove every speck of dust without ever touching a brush to anything using my 26 gallon, 160 psi air compressor. Just be sure the compressor has both a water/oil trap at the regulator and a desiccant dryer (like you use when using an HVLP paint gun) near the gun to remove any moisture. Works great on my radiators.
I use a $20 leaf blower. Sure I gotta lug the PC out to the garage, but it obliterates the dust.
Lmao that thing is a TOY. I work on eye wateringly expensive computers, servers and control panels for a living, and to clean them I have a 120psi regulated compressor with an inline dryer and ionizing gun.
TH-cam is now showing me all of the videos that I have watched on your channel.
How long does the battery last? Surely that should've been a vital part of the comparison...
So you cant overclock it then....?
Now a portable vacuum to chase your dog around with.
all show and no go. nice vid tho Jay!
I just use the 3 gallon air compressor I already have for filling up tires occasionally, and dial the pressure back so it doesn't pose any risk to components.
Can it blow other stuff?
Yes, but since you're clearly inexperienced... a bl0wj0b doesn't actually involve blowing.
jay theres a problem with the promo link... it doesnt work
I'm surprised Jay hasn't done a R9 295X2 review yet he does a Titan Black X, Id rather see a 3x R9 295x2 build LOLs the R9 295X2 has been on sale for $600-$700 the past month
That would be nice to have. Buying canned air gets expensive on the long run and it is annoying to use.
I toyed around the idea of buying air compressor. It would be loud and could it blow air with not so high pressure? And can I find small tube attachment to it.
