The original triogly is so special to me. I got the series on my ps2. Play every now and then and it's so special to relive those simply perfect gaming moments way back.
You gotta I'm currently rerunning R&C 3 and it's just as fun as it was the first time I played it gaming hasn't been the same for me since the glory days everything just seemed so much more real back then when playing a game it truly felt real like that feeling of getting home with a new game and just slapping it in the console and immediately playing is what I miss the most no pesky downloads in game purchases dlc's or any of this gubbins that's been forced into games nowadays
His attitude got better in the following games, but I love this game. It’s my first memory of playing the PS2, I have all the games though, can’t believe the series has been going since 2002.
Oh man. When I saw this game finally come out on PS Plus, I took a break from God of War Ragnarök and played a little Ratchet and Clank 1, and I had a great time. I remember playing the PS4 reboot, but I wanted to play the original games so bad. Especially before playing Rift Apart since I realized that its not a sequel to the PS4 game and instead to the originals. Too bad they weren't on PS Now/Plus yet. Until now! Honestly, it's games like Jak and Daxter, God of War, and Ratchet and clank that makes me wish I grew up with Playstation. I used to be a Nintendo guy as a kid. If only I knew what I have missed out for the past years. God bless Sony for re-releasing these classics. It gave me a chance to make up for lost time and experience these classics I missed out on.
sounds like you missed out on some other bangers too like spyro, sly cooper, uncharted, killzone, resistance, crash bandicoot. love playstation, so many classics
@@ace159951 Oh yeah. Probably my biggest regret being a Nintendo fan is all the classics I missed out from other consoles, companies, and franchises. I love Nintendo, but goddammit. I'd be lying if I said I was one hundred percent proud of being a Nintendo fan when I was younger. Thank goodness PS Plus is giving me a chance to make up for lost time.
I feel the same way. I've been a Nintendo guy my whole life, but lately I've been interested in trying out what PlayStation has to offer. I have a PS3 and PS4, though I don't use them much anymore, and I mostly played third party games. Though I did play the first 2 Spider-Man games on PS4 and enjoyed them. I also had Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, which I believe a cousin gave to me years ago, though I don't think I played it that much. I found Ratchet and Clank 1 on PS2 at a game store the other day, and despite not being able to play it (PS3 Slim isn't backwards compatible with PS2), I decided to get it anyway. Me and my dad are on the hunt for a PS2 now. I didn't know the trilogy was rereleased on PS3 at the time, but I like playing the originals anyway. I'm very excited to try this game out and also delve into other PlayStation franchises.
The fact they made the remake is so good. I remember not getting past Rilgar when you turn on the sewer pumps. I just didn’t move fast enough. Was like 4-5 at the time. Had my dad help. This was my very first game and it still holds a very special place.
The best memory i have with my parents, was when my dad came home one night, and surprised me with a PS2, and with that PS2, came a copy of Ratchet and Clank. I was the happiest kid in the world.
Every time a ratchet and clank came out my parents would buy it’s for me because it was literally all I wanted . The first one came out in 2002 I was about 4-5 years old back then depending which month . Playing this whit my dad watching over me is such a core memory I will always treasure
My grandpa got me into this game when I was 5 or 6, watching him play this start to finish, and then playing this myself for the first time with him watching and giving me advice is of my favorite memories.
I like how both Spyro and this game had the same engine as well as some of the sounds (like the frog death) I love that naughty dog shared the engine with insomniac to create some amazing classic video games
I'm playing it now for the first time. I wanted to play this back when I was a teen in the early 2000s, but never had the chance. Thanks to the Steam Deck, I'm finally playing it and it's freaking awesome!

I’ve beat Rachet and clank 1-5 more times than anyone here, 2 was the best, then 3, then 1. 1 is amazing don’t get me wrong, but 2 and 3 were some of my favorite games of all time
Other than the gameplay, I enjoyed the jokes the most! Insomniac really didn’t care what they slipped in and it really shows with the starline trick on the first game. 😂
Very first game EVER to touch. And first system I ever played. Thanks to Ratchet and Clank 1. The remake is good as a remake of graphics and more weapons. But it doesn't have any of the heart the OG ps2 has.
I right there with you, visual improvements for sure for the “remake”, but i feel it was a totally different game. I still feel they should have just kept the whole game true to the original with same sound traxks or maybe remixed a little, just upgraded graphixs . The OG ps2 R&C1 is in my top 10 vídeo games of all time
