      I’m the same, I live in Manchester, Uk and tho I’m right on the border of Cheshire where there is farming land we were friends with a dairy farmer his wife a friend of mine from school and my husband was seriously looking at going into and joining him and since going to the farm and helping for one day I have loved cows but never thought I would fall in to the rabbit hole. I feel for all the cows that need a little TLC and you can see how much Graham& team cares for the cows he looks after and the happiness you feel when they come out of the crush and are walking better than when they walked in.
      the videos are entertaining yet educational I love how much I’m learning. And same as you, I have a cat (that adopted us with out giving us a choice lol), chickens in the back garden & bees on my allotment that’s as far as we have gotten but you never know about the future :-D lol

      Same! My husband and I live in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania in the US. My husband is an ironworker and I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 3. We own a small corgi. The closest farms to us are in New Jersey. Yet, we both watch the Hoof GP. As a matter of fact, I went to show my husband the channel because I thought it was so cool and he was already a fan and watchs religiously lol. You can really tell how much he loves what he does by how he cares for the animals. I have seen some from another country recently that the horse was truly traumatized, not being fed, they trimmed the horse by tying his hooves to a rope and flipping the horse upside down on his back. His eyes were glassy and his ribs were sticking out. It was horrific. The people who were trimming were laughing at the reaction of the horses fear. The comments section was flooded with concern for the animal. I reported it as many others did and can only hope that animal can have a wellness check asap. I couldn't tell the language to be able to know where it was from. So it's beautiful when you see people like Graeme and Tom who love their animals and what they do. You can clearly see how good these animals are taken care of.

      Gives us city folk a new appreciation of what it takes to be a rancher. Never knew the amount of work, dedication, or love that went into raising beef or dairy cattle. I always thought dairy cattle were undernourished but from watching Tom Pemberton's videos I've learned they are not! It's just the way the dairy breeds are because all their energy goes into producing milk, not fat.

    Giant puppies with horns. My first sighting of a Highland was when I decided to cut through the woods to my neighbors’s house. I was halfway across his pasture when a Highland and a jackass ran up on me. I freaked out never seeing one before. It had extremely long hair. I thought I’d stepped back in time to the ice age. Awesome animal now that I know what it is.

    • @cw93711
      @cw93711 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on old stuff it can work ok, good, as good as new stuff but Tom really needs to lay rubber Matt's for cows to lay on and old stuff with dairy is usually OK or needs additional stuff like the Matt's to make it as good ot it's missing stuff like the robatic feeders cleaners etc that new farms have or even just the wood chips where cows walk to cushion feet and then have the robatic stuff clean and repute back down also keeps barn clean etc.
      But small older generation farmers can't do all this stuff unless they win lottery. So they make do but animals are still well cared for cause in the end Tom loves what he does and the animals and takes care of them.

      @Steven Daniels You know what's better than pimple popping? Opening up one of those watermelon sized cysts on a cow! Hell one of the 30+ videos I watched in the last 2 nights since finding this channel was a cow with NOT only a cyst on the heel of her hoof but when the machine lifted her back leg it must have pressed hard on the outside of her leg and BOOM exploding cyst activated!
      I would be all over that dang thing until it was all flat and cleaned out nice and proper like... but I'm also a human that only has a nose for decoration (and to keep my glasses/sunglasses on my face) so I can't smell a dang thing... actually that's a lie I can smell one thing and thats BURNING which I guess is a neat ole bit of evolution/making sure I don't die. I once saved a friends house from an electrical fire due to a faulty surge protector
      (PSA do NOT overload those things and NEVER skimp on them either! Make sure you get one that's strong enough for its intended use and don't risk thousands of dollars in electronics, and your home or worse off your life, to "save" a few bucks. It's really not worth the risk).
      My buddy got a fancy new computer monitor that he wanted to show it off... yeah I'm old, this was back in 2007 or maybe 2008... so I was there, mostly because he had two ferrets and I love me some ferret snuggle time but since I had 3 dachshunds, now down to 2 😭, I can't own any myself... anyway we're in his computer room and I asked him if he put his cigarette out properly because I smell burning, after him calling me a liar (because I had told him I don't have a sense of smell) for 5+ minutes all of a sudden there's huge flames coming from under his desk (which btw it is HILARIOUS to watch a 6'4" 230lb dude dive, head first, under a tiny ass desk he must have gotten at 12 years old before his growth spurt).
      Apparently while we were just sitting there the surge protector he had was burning from the inside out, so the flames came after the plastic melted away and opened it up.
      Luckily he wasn't injured and all his electronics were okay but it could have burned the whole dang house down because it was cheap junk that was over its capacity. His mother was so grateful to me for saving their home that she made me a big ole Italian feast and told me that I can come by whenever I wanted to, even if my friend wasn't home, to hang out with the ferrets or her!
      But yeah these videos are REALLY making me want to become a hoof trimmer... or a cow cyst remover (do they require a license, vet school or certification to be a cow cyst popper?)
      But yeah I'm all for the gross stuff LOL

I'm from Idaho in the U.S. I grew up on a small farm with goats, no cows. My brother in law owns and runs a dairy. I love seeing the cows, especially when they are calving. Love your videos.
