Only a fool will take out a mortgage for a car with a zillion moving parts bells and whistles that steals your data location information and sells to ads.
Pricing a third rate product like it's luxury brand did not work. Concentrating solely on younger drivers was a huge mistake. Where is a competitor for the Camry, Accord and Malibu and charging $100k for jeeps was huge mistake
They don't know what they are doing they are a bunch of rank amateurs. They need to consult a few economist as to how supply & demand models operate. A screwdriver is not gonna work.
Standing on a lot just a few days ago, my wife and I were looking at a Grand Cherokee until we saw the price. We were absolutly floored by the $115,950 (discounted) price. ---Just my two cents.
Stellantis NEEDS TO SELL CHRYSLER, DODGE, RAM, AND JEEP TO FRANK RHODE'S. Stellantis would be out of Business, THANK GOD. Carlos Tavares Gamble on E.V.s will not pay off, European Market lot different than American Car Market. I own Jeep, first one ever bought, been actually very good. Really no complaints. Cherokee overland 4x4, before buying Jeep had fair or poor reliability, but my Jeep been very good. 3 of my Co-works own Jeep Wranglers 2 have Rubicons and 1 has a Sahara, that why I bought Jeep, 2 are repeat buyers. I remember having over foot of snow, put Cherokee in "Snow" mode, No problem.
It's not that customers don't want to buy. Carlos Tavares took products made for blue collar workers, and jacked the base cost well beyond the means of the targeted market. They took base model vehicles and priced them as if they were Mercedes-Benz,with twice the quality issues. Who would spend money on such product??
Bruh! It’s more on the pricing and killing of the Hemi. There are thousands of people including myself that would love to buy a Scat pack or Ram 2500, but the prices are insane.
Worst reliable vehicles on the market with highest prices, brilliant business strategy, and shareholder idiots rewarded this. Total morons at the helm.
I bought and leased many jeeps over the last 35"years. Best products were when they were with Mercedes. 2007 Grand Cherokee was my favorite. Still driving 2009. Woould i buy one today? Nope.
The dealers aren’t any better, refusing to sell cars for advertised price, market up after market up, refusing to sell cars and only taking bids like some kind of collector or auction house, ridiculous mandatory add ons, keeping all the rebates for themselves, and selling vehicles out from under the customer who ordered them cuz they found a sucker to pay more, all of that shit is unheard of behavior for any professional authorized manufacturer representative
If other dealerships operated like my local one, this is not a surprise. My previous Dodge dually was one of the best vehicles I have ever owned, but was becoming aged out. My last trip to my dealer left parts of working systems inoperable, and the dealer refused own up to their mistakes. On top of that, they refused to fix those mistakes and demanded that I remove my truck from their property. That meant when it became time to purchase a new truck, Dodge was dipped from my purchase list.
Prices have gone up, quality has gone down. They also did away with the 5.7 engine and replaced it with V6 hurricane engine. The new engine even did away with the oil dipstick. Now you have to rely on sensors to read your oil level. Ram quality for electronics is below par and now you have to rely on electronics to read your oil level.
If the government would get out of regulating, too many requirements for environmental protection ,car seats for children should be part of options built in if they are required.
What would change everything is bring the MSRC down to a level the average person could afford buying a new car. The $100k truck is no more. The $60k car is no more. Reduce the cost of a Ram 1500 to $30k. Bring the cost down on a car to $20k. I guarantee they will sell.
Stellanis and GM didn't even make the top 10 selling vichles in the US Stellanis and GM vichles are burning up, the first time the fines are going to the DMV to the customer not the governments pocket Engines that can't make 60,000 miles for cost of $ 80,000😂 There's no saving them
Go back to what vehicles were in the 60's and 70's. The average jack could do his own repairs...too much technology has caused the downfall...cars are less reliable, too expensive to fix, and are throw aways.....just saying..........
Bingo….Im a mechanic that’s restored my 76’ GMC square body for thousands cheaper than buying a new one. The aftermarket support can bring most vehicles to today’s standards.
Here's an idea- Try making vehicles of potential interest to the general public, of rock solid quality, and do so at prices affordable to the masses. Problem solved.
Dealers refuse to stop charging OVER market value and would rather they rot in their lots. 100k for Jeep is a joke. 100k. I will buy a sle mercedes thanks.
American cars are too expensive. $50,000 ? That is crazy ! Cars under $15000 would sell. Do we buy a car or a darn starship of technology ? Just sell a dependable long lasting car. Seems simple.
Bottom Line. ALL the car companies are pricing themselves out if business.
Only a fool will take out a mortgage for a car with a zillion moving parts bells and whistles that steals your data location information and sells to ads.
Wouldn't have anything to do with 90 thousand dollar trucks ?? No way!!
I feel like the CEO is purposely tanking this company.
Dont try to sell $90,000 jeeps or ram trucks. Make them affordable for most.
Start making affordable, basic, reliable cars and people will buy them.
Two things would fix this, 1) Fire Tavares 2)sell Chrysler to Rhodes.
Tavares has already resigned. Too little, too late.

Love my Jeep but it’s my last one. Don’t need that kind of support
Stellantis: American made crap.
No American made automobile or truck is worth a penny over $45,000.
Maybe if they didn’t screw over customers who had lifetime warranties by invalidating them and refusing to stand by customers

Drop the price, easy financing, long term warranty! That might work.
Bruh! It’s more on the pricing and killing of the Hemi. There are thousands of people including myself that would love to buy a Scat pack or Ram 2500, but the prices are insane.
Profits over volume was and still a bad move for all OEM's
Worst reliable vehicles on the market with highest prices, brilliant business strategy, and shareholder idiots rewarded this. Total morons at the helm.
Cut prices. Cut pay if price cuts do not work. Workers and executives must help or all the jobs will dissolve.
Old news, you’re not telling us anything new. Boring

Price price price.
Not just stellantis these dealers are a raising prices even on used sh@t to ridiculous amounts, then trying to not give anything in trade in values.

Can't wait for the collapse of Stellantis. Hoping "quality" manufacturers can increase production.

Dodge is just a pinch of a money maker for Stellantis.
