    "LED bulbs still are not DOT compliant for use on roads here in the USA"
    Sure as hell doesn't stop anyone from using them anyway.

      DOT or not.
      Having an led bulbs is a must.
      But these aren’t the brightest they make. It’s more as an entry level of more oem performace.

    Are y’all working on 21+ ford f150 fog lights? I have morimoto all around but the fog lights is the only area I’m missing.

    Now what I love about this particular one. Is that headlight Revolution - josh recoded that it increase by 27%. And that’s 520 maximum.
    I can finally compare that to the Sylvania - silverstar ultra. For the brightness.
    Because that silverstar ultra is also 27% brighter than stock.
    Now whiter than than stock for the SSU is 16%. And it went from 3200k to 3650k.
    With 2stroke 4.0. Huge difference with 5500k.
    So now I know that the maximum lux is great. And that is a major oem plus for the light output. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 especially that beautiful lifetime warranty

    Just tried to set up my 4.0 bulbs and only one side of the chip lit up. Is this normal or did I get a defective bulb?

    • @MorimotoLighting
      @MorimotoLighting  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have a single filament bulb, then yes both LEDs should be lit up! If you have a dual filament bulb which has 2 LEDs per side, only one per side will light up. Shoot us an email and we can help! benchmark@morimotolighting.com

    Are there plans on doing a 4000k color temp option? Headlights are being frowned upon for this reason. Kind of stuck with HIDs.

    Are the h1 2stroke 4.0s not designed for high beams? The s2000 uses h1 as the high beam, but you have them listed as fog lights.

    • @MorimotoLighting
      @MorimotoLighting  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All LED bulbs on our website will be listed as fog light bulbs, since HID and LED bulbs are street legal in the USA for Fog Light use only. Not compliant with DOT / FMVSS108 and not street legal in the USA for Headlights. Legal for off-road use in Snowmobile and ATV headlights and off-road racing use only auxiliary or forward lighting. International street legality varies by country.
      This usage regulation is not unique to this item. All LED and HID bulbs from all other brands, regardless of marketing claims, are prohibited from street use in halogen headlights in the USA.

    literally just ordered mine 3.0 from BRI a month ago and these come out. guess I'll be making an exchange on BRI for these then. Would the H806 PWM module work with these new 2stroke 4.0?

    So not DOT compliant by the law and/or DOT. Then tell us why there not legal, are they too bright for street use or not aimed right as a replacement bulb?. If people buy them, are they blinding oncoming drivers or what?

      LEDs are illegal in reflector headlights.

      Because there is such a wide variety of reflectors, and an even wider variety of LED bulb makers (most of them of exceedingly low quality), I would guess it would be next to impossible as a regulatory agency to actually say okay to some, since you'd have to test literally every product in literally every reflector. Easier to just say no.
