Jeez.. Was waiting for a good review.. TH-cam is filled with bullshit videos about Dominar 400
I am completely hooked up between dominar 400 and pulsar 220f. While urge to have more power is pushing me towards dominar at the same time the simplicity of 220f attracts me to herself. Dominar is really a capable machine but what set me back is its technologically loadedness. I love both the bikes but EFI of dominar is deal breaker for me, agreed that its way better than good old carburetor of 220f but its way more complicated and expensive as well. The non-abrestness of local mechanics with the EFI is major worry. I would take the 220f to any local mechanic for its service but I am skeptical about it when it comes to dominar. Further I have enough for me at commuter space as my Yamaha Saluto serves me well there, and what I am looking now for is tourer where both the bike mentioned here fits well. Listening to the horrendous stories of EFI breakdown of thunderbird owners force me to keep my hands away from dominar. Imagining the EFI breakdown on deserted-loneny highway or abandoned countryside with my wife gives me feeling of nightmare (though I have not personally experienced it). My uses would mostly be sticked to fortnight long drives and once in a month or two to go for touring. As I will be using it for 300-500 kms/day touring I think I wont be going wrong with any of them. Pillion comfort is also very much of concern for me as almost all the time I would be travelling with my wife. What should I do? should I wait for sometime so that bajaj may go back to carburater on dominar as they did with pulsar 220F back then. Or should I go for Pulsar 220F itself.
It surely gives a big bike feel. The grunt and the bassy feel from the exhaust gives it the feel. The styling is spot on

took a test ride last week, so excited to try and yes it is a pretty good bike for this price. but the exhaust sound is not as I expected.
ameen al exhaust is the first to go when you buy a bike. the oems have to conform to regulations so they will always sound shit right off the dealership. Just change tge exhaust system after purchase.
love this motorcycle from the first look. sadly, no more bajaj showroom in indonesia. dont have any bajaj dealer since years. hope bajaj will come back to indonesia. please come back
How good is this bike for a new rider in hilly terrain mostly up and down around the corners...would you recommend this or anything else??? Please help

its very gud byk with very gud pricing . Attractive & sporty looks, good torque , & sound of engine is its usp. can be matched with other sporty bikes like bmw, banelli etc. good for riders who wants everything what you want in sports bike in lesser price

Good bike overall but the brake feel was not good when I test rode it now I am not saying the brakes are bad but they lack the feel of the brakes biting atleast to me that's what it appeared to be 😊
After purchasing Dominar 400 (2018) I had so many issues with the bike that I can't recommended it to anyone else.
Service was very poor wait to long at the service centre, non availability of many spare parts.
What issue
I am confused in this 5 bikes plz suggest me best bike for daily 40km ride, by all aspects like mileage, comfort, maintenance.
1)Dominor 400
2)ktm duke 200
3)classic 350
4)R15 V3.0 (after launching)
5)Cbr 150r (newer version)

hmmm, I loved this apart from my own review!
Dominar 400 design is well done by Bajaj. BUt it looks good and shows quality. It doesn't look super duper outstanding but its also not overdone like RS200 trying to look to good but look unappealing at the end.

I am no fan of any company, I just need a bike which have good mileage, cruising capacity, and can be maintained easily for long time.i was planning to buy re thunderbird, but dominar 400 arrived . Thunderbird is durable bike, is it same with dominar, Should I go for dominar or there is another bike you can suggest.

I have heard that dominar has separate service center of bajaj rather than keeping with other bajaj bikes, which is appreciated. But it is only given in selected cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and chennai. Is the news true or fake?

Hi Rohan. Thank you for your appreciation of the video. Don't get me wrong, the 182kg weight is quite well managed so you really don't feel the heft of the bike. Just that the overall feel of the bike is very reminiscent of the smaller Pulsars

Guys I test drove Dominar 400 yesterday. My observation is, it is not suitable for people above 40 years of age as 50 percent of your body weigt is transferred to your wrist because of the sitting posture. As a result, you can't ride long distances. Secondly it's breakers are no good.
I own an Avenger 220 cruise and I feel my bike is far far better for city as well as long rides.
In the beginning of this video where was the location? Grand Canyon?
is DOMINAR 400 is good to buy or 2017 KTM Duke 390 is good

Aadil Patel the pricing wont be similar. extra fairing means extra money and the power will be likely higher so it'll cost little pennies more as well.

dominar will fit perfect as it is tall than ktm i have test drived dominar i am also 6 feet in ktm if yu go long ride it will feel uncomfortable in long ride and it is low ground bike buddy

let's consider for 40k kms...
my STD 350cc UCE (Heavy Crank) gives 45kmpl (company claims 52kmpl, because it's a company! not a rider :D ), even if i do 90km/hr-100/hr all the time its 40kmpl...!!!
STD350 - 40k kms/40kmpl = 1,000 liters aka 65,000 INR** petrol for 40k kms :)
I've done 13 services with 3k kms interval (750 INR, no oil change x 6 = 4500 INR; 1200 INR for oil change x 7 = 8400 INR) costing me 13k INR
*RE STD 350 TOTAL : 65k + 13k = 80k INR :)*
Dominar gives 25kmpl-26kmpl (company claims 30kmpl, and it's not considered, of course); say you ride near tripple digit speeds at 90-100km/hr, it may drop below 25kmpl, let's stick on to 25 (because number is cute :-p )
Dominar - 40k kms/25kmpl = 1,600 liters aka 1,04,000 INR** needed to cover 40k kms :(
It also has service interval of 3k kms (no oil change) and 6k kms (oil change); 13 services x 1200 = 15.6k;
*Dominar TOTAL : 104k + 15.6k = 120k INR :(*
**=petrol rate being 65 INR/ltr
_PS : MY STD 350 UCE COSTS 1.25LAKH ON ROAD comparatively to Dominar's 1.65LAKH (standard vr) B-)_
for above 1lakh kms dominar isn't worth man... hope you get that by the above calculations!

No it's not. But you can mod it.
But they say it's monoshock is adjustable....

Of the two, I'd have to recommend the Dominar 400. But it would be better if you test rode each bike to see which suits your riding style better

This bike may have superior performance than royal Enfield, and is indeed a superior choice for buying from a economic standpoint, but let's face it, Royal Enfield classic 500 has the best looks any bike can have, and that's why it will still be the hot favorite amongst riders all over the world...
I have been building a royal Enfield classic with a 1200cc engine, check my TH-cam after 6 months.

Dumb answer. It is not a 'Copy'. It shares the same engine with the Duke 390, but has been detuned to 35 PS along with changes to the drive train in order to make it more of a tourer than a naked street racer like Duke 390. Please use Google, it is good for you.
Poon Magar Buy the Duke . Dominar's resale value will go down pretty quick just like every bajaj bike ,if you buy the Duke it will hold its value for a long time plus u will be getting a better dohc engine .
I think the answer lies in whether you want sporty handling or long tour comfort, I have talked about this in my review.
Praneeth Bantwal Bajaj owns KTM , it's not a copy it's just derived from the Duke engine and detuned for dominar
