let's consider for 40k kms...
my STD 350cc UCE (Heavy Crank) gives 45kmpl (company claims 52kmpl, because it's a company! not a rider :D ), even if i do 90km/hr-100/hr all the time its 40kmpl...!!!
STD350 - 40k kms/40kmpl = 1,000 liters aka 65,000 INR** petrol for 40k kms :)
I've done 13 services with 3k kms interval (750 INR, no oil change x 6 = 4500 INR; 1200 INR for oil change x 7 = 8400 INR) costing me 13k INR
*RE STD 350 TOTAL : 65k + 13k = 80k INR :)*
Dominar gives 25kmpl-26kmpl (company claims 30kmpl, and it's not considered, of course); say you ride near tripple digit speeds at 90-100km/hr, it may drop below 25kmpl, let's stick on to 25 (because number is cute :-p )
Dominar - 40k kms/25kmpl = 1,600 liters aka 1,04,000 INR** needed to cover 40k kms :(
It also has service interval of 3k kms (no oil change) and 6k kms (oil change); 13 services x 1200 = 15.6k;
*Dominar TOTAL : 104k + 15.6k = 120k INR :(*
**=petrol rate being 65 INR/ltr
_PS : MY STD 350 UCE COSTS 1.25LAKH ON ROAD comparatively to Dominar's 1.65LAKH (standard vr) B-)_
value for money? if you love crazy speeds and adrenaline rush - yes. else - no bro.
Dude you do not buy Dominor/KTM or for that matter any other bike in the same segment or segment higher; for saving petrol, and look at its mileage, it's completely different ball game bro. Please give us a break.
having owned dominars for the past 4 years now, since 2018, I've owned the 1st generation and also the UG version, i can more than safely say that it is the best bike in it's range and power category ❤️ couldn't have got better value for money..plus it's Always good to be Vocal for Local

@@abhishekanair5430 if the 2017og is in good condition and you are not bothered about features such as gearposition etc, then go for the 2017 ..put on some touring mods and there's nothing like it..
go for the UG if you need a better suspension which the USD forks provide and also for a linear power delivery throughout the rev range, the OG gives sudden power bursts at particular rpms..
Still rocking my 2017 dominor same color as video. Sometimes I get surprised that lot of PPL dnt know that this color is released 🤣
@@abhishekanair5430 go for the UG , you will have better suspension and better power delivery.. just check if it has the infamous engine tappet noise

148 kph is based on GPS measurement, the 160+ you saw was speedo indicated

No matter how many days or weeks we wait for your videos, it's totally worth it !!!. Loved it. When I took the test ride on the second day of the launch (Dec 16) it was butter smooth, after that I took one more test ride during the time of booking (3 weeks later), there was some vibration. The dealer told me that the bike met with an accident and apart from it people are riding the bike so hard, that's the reason it's having bit vibration.

Do you think that Bajaj has done it's homework about the quality and reliability or this should be like wasting 1.5 lakhs on a 400cc vibrator?
If they have planned to take the next step ahead.. They would have definitely put effort into it!.. I'm not assuring that it would be good but we should believe them for the work they have done!.. For example.. Mahindra's XUV.. it was a blind experiment which got hit! No one knew an Indian manufacturer would go global, did we?..
Half Biker Chennai bro while making Mahindra xuv they have put in a lot of hard work .they have cared about every aspects and you will get to know if you carefully explore the car interiors. If they had good after sales services it would still be the best car in Indian market

i think i have to sell my avenger 220 street for this beast.....😅 well atleast it doesnt get that aggresive pickup of duke and it is always in a mood for driving it hard.....i should consider this.....it is calm untill rev harder.....

I know Honda CBR250r is pretty old model, but it's been one of the best highway/touring bike in India. So how come no one is talking about Dominar in comparison with it?

Rahil Parker Kuch b? The Abs model surely is 40k more expensive than Abs dominar but the non abs model is just 25k more here in delhi. 1.5 Dominar non abs and 1.74 non abs Cbr on road Delhi! Its old but not expensive thats sure
CBR ABS goes to 2.25L on road Mumbai last time I checked

Can someone tell me what is a slipper clutch and how it works?
It prevents the rear wheel from locking or hopping under aggressive downshifts, thus preventing the need to blip throttle while still keeping both the wheels aligned.
Sameer Ahuja To simply say. Assume you are in 1st gear and reach very high RPMs and suddenly release accelerator... What happens? Bike slows down extremely quickly. To reach levels of 1st gear. In slipper clutch that won't happen. Same happens when you gear down not matching to the speed you are in... Tryes won't lock or throw you away.

no, the bike is very heavy. it is very powerful
Krishan Dutt go for it if he is a tourer or want to tour......in city FZ 250 or NS 200 will be better as they are lighter than Dominar and have better fuel economy
the new duke will make people forget this dominor as they have rectified comfort of seat,increased fuel tank capacity and sure they will take care of heating issue,but still the old duke design i prefer over new duke 2017

Yup, design wise i like the older one more.
i like the new head lamps of 2017 duke 390. While I found underbelly exhausts to be better looking than new cannisters.
new Duke or even bikes to come won't eclipse the Dominar cause Dominar is crazy value for money! Also very much unbeatable at the price range.
