This is consumer tech, looks are going to play a part. Nearly every custom pc has a window showing off the parts inside, looks are going to play a part. Humans like pretty things, looks are going to play a part. When you can get the same chipset and vram from multiple manufacturers, and you don't care about budget, the only thing you can decide on is the looks. This is an interesting design, but it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb unless you somehow find parts with a similar aesthetic with the specs you want.

Metallic gold and metallic silver are like lime green and oversaturated red.. and it honestly looks more beige than gold anyways

@@Alpine_flo92002 metallic gold (which is not polished mind you) due to refraction of the light does not give off a vibrant gold.. and a faded gold is *very* close to beige.. that's what the card looks like to me, and because it also roughly matches the color of my late grandmother's beige/blue 2004 subaru outback.. I can't see it any other way (the design also reminds me of that car so it doesn't help cement the association)
If it looks like 💩 you have a much lower chance of selling the pc same as a car that has clear headlights sells twice as often than a car with yellowed headlights.

Taking a quick glance at your mouse pad and pictures in the back tells me all I need to know when it comes down to your aesthetic preferences. This GPU looks pretty good to me, it's nice to have a change in design every now and again.
This is honestly one of the better looking cards that I’ve seen in the recent releases. It doesn’t fit the aesthetic of my build but if I had the chance to build with this I would definitely take the opportunity.

well, the closed design of the card makes it sort of like a blower but the exhaust is on the underside, i wouldnt underestimate it especially compared to the ugly chinese plastic mcdonalds toy cards we have gotten for the past 10 years
It has the same flow through as the founders. The biggest difference is it has no plastic and you can maybe use your pci slots now. Anyone who doesn’t know yet; the 4080 was using a 4090 cooler and only does half the work so the cooler was oversized until this revision. If you turn on DLSS3 it barely uses power too so the temps are even better.
Yeah, like litterbocks said normal fan cooling is better then blower, the best you can get is a gpu with 3 normal fans. Yes blowers have gotten better but still, i wouldnt recommend a blower if you are going with extra performance that is quiet

To make it lighter they would have to remove performance, just like if you were to be lighter you'd have less muscle, just mount it vertically or get support bracket quit complaining and it's looks clean af
I know a guy that used to be an engineer at amd. He told me that when they would test motherboards and graphics cards to see if the board or their chip would fail first as rock and msi always failed first. Sure enough the only boards I’ve bought from them both burned up.

I think this is like noctua products in the sense that many people hate them and don’t really try to appreciate them. I am not trying to deny your opinion but I think this would go very well with the Asus PRO art models.
I personally find this graphics card ugly, but I love noctua. Most people hate noctua because it’s a color scheme they don’t like and doesn’t have rgb which is fine. At first I thought that thing in the front was some sort of heatsink, but I guess its just weird like that. It just looks like previous GPUs but they taped metal sheets on top. I think this is like noctua products in the sense that many people hate them and don’t really try to appreciate them. I am not trying to deny your opinion but I think this would go very well with the Asus PRO art models.
I personally find this graphics card ugly, but I love noctua. Most people hate noctua because it’s a color scheme they don’t like and doesn’t have rgb which is fine. Because while I may a noctua owner myself I’m willing to admit they are more expensive and honestly don’t perform that much better than the competition. They preform a tad bit better but are also like 3x the price lol

I loved having a PC with MSI designs from the 20 and 30 series and with the 40 they didn't do so bad but holy crap this is horrible
At first I thought that thing in the front was some sort of heatsink, but I guess its just weird like that. It just looks like previous GPUs but they taped metal sheets on top. I would say it is worse than other designs, but not nearly as bad as he says it is.
Conclusion: looks boring, but he being harsh😔
As long as the temps aren't awful, i see no issues.
This reminds me of the NV GTX 400 Series (Fermi) look from back in the day.
