There are four kinds of vision...one is the most helpful.
We all want to see the world accurately. But most often, we fall into the blindness of being shortsighted. Then we want foresight so that we can know what will happen. Or Hindsight so that we know what we've lived through. But God calls us to a newer sight. One that helps us get out of the desert by going through the desert.

Losing hope. Jesus please give me strength I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I won’t give up but Lord I’m so discouraged. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. Jesus hear my prayers and please continue to give me strength.❤️💕
I wanted to let you know I’m sorry that you’re facing such a tough time. I also was a single mom, but I had a lot of help from my mom and my dad. I want you to know that on this day I am saying prayers for you and your children I hope that you feel a touch of God, God may not change your situation, but he can help you get through it. Praise God.

Praying for you! I know we'll the struggles of raising 3 children with special needs....financially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. You can't do it alone. But thankfully God's grace is always there and it is enough. He will provide all that you need and He will never leave you. God is good all the time.

Wonderful and timely homily. I asked for prayers for my husband Steve last Sunday and received 35 prayer intentions from you. Oh Father Mike, I really needed to hear this homily today. I'm standing in the middle of the desert again and I know God brought me here and will walk me out. He's brought me to the desert before many times, but each time is a little more difficult (health). Each time this happens I feel my relationship with God is deeper. This time I've called out many times for him to help me. One thing I do know is that he is with me and for that, I am blessed and grateful

I just got over a bad case of Covid, spending a week in the hospital. In the midst of the 3 weeks -at times I thought I would never recover. And afterwards I was very depressed. Finally I feel better and even went to mass yesterday. Thank you, God, for healing me.

Wow! How timely that your reading would be exactly where I am in my morning Bible study, Exodus chapter 16, and how perfectly succinct your msg comes to me this day (thank You Holy Spirit). After the death of my marriage I almost perished; resided in the valley thereafter for over a year, and now am finding my way through its confusing wilderness of my life, alone. Thank you Father for your guiding light msg of hope this morning. Together with a visiting pastor’s sermon msg today at a local church I am attending, which was holding on to the past, instead of releasing it to GOD in faith, for a promising future ahead together with Him, and through Christ our Lord ( amen). Be blesses Fr. Mike, and thank you again.

Jesus I trust in You. It has to mean something or its empty words.
When a parent stands in the pool and their child stands on the edge, staring at those waiting outstretched arms, the parent has this little ache in their heart when the child just cant jump, cant trust that it will be OK. Imagine Gods ache when we dont trust. Yes, think things through, use our brains, but there will be times we get to the edge of the pool and the only way forward is that scary leap into Gods open arms. That's when "Jesus I trust in You" means something.
Father Mike, My Faith and Trust in God help me see my path. My current path is filled with many challenges. Nevertheless, I am grateful for God's resources. I try my best to be a good stewart for His gifts. I agree with you, God has not abandoned me. I know He is with me. Thank you for your message.❤

Father Mike, you always seem to come through when I need it most. My journey into the desert began on June 5th 1991. My journey from there to here confirms the truth in what you have said. To hear your words is one thing but to have been and continue to be where I am has even more meaning. I’ve wanted to do many times what you say not to do. To quit the race. I’ve wanted so many time to do exactly that. I know I can’t return to “Egypt” and that the only direction is forward. When I look back I see how many times God showed up the next day with miracles, I know how blessed I am. I was a police officer when this began so I think I have a different perspective of how crazy and unjust this world can be. If anyone doubts your words then I can say without reservation that what you speak is the truth and not just some empty words to get us through the day. I thank God for you and many others who do the difficult and often thankless job of saving souls. God bless you and your ministry

Father i think most people would consider 5K to be distance running. It's not just half marathon.
You can be doing God's will right now, so long as you desire it. The present moment is correct for your spiritual healing. You might not like it.
I feel like I am in the wilderness. I feel hopeless because feel stuck. I'm trying to convert obstacles keep popping up. I met a guy 3 weeks ago who said he was willing to help but hasn't reached out.
What do you want? If trying to convert, have you found a Catholic Church in your area to attend?
@sarabara333 found a few just don't know where to start. I can't drive, which makes it difficult, and I live with anti-catholic parents, which makes it difficult. I also don't have any Catholic friends, just acquaintances.

@josh39684 OK, I've been without a car. I've gotten through a lot of shit. This is just my advice. I don't know everything. For now, please avoid talking to your parents, self-proclaimed atheists and Protestants about your faith. The devil will hate that you're trying to get as close as you possibly can Christ through the gifts of the Holy sacraments. It will use ppl and whatever it can to stop you. I noticed you're a weightlifter. You don't have a license to drive. You're obviously familiar with hard work and overcoming obstacles. You know this next part - STOP thinking "what if" and "I can't." You can get to a church and you will. I guarantee that somewhere around your current residence is a God-loving Roman Catholic, willing to carpool. Reach out to different parishes. Some people (priests included) may not be as helpful as others. People are flawed. Those flaws in people are not your concern. Keep trying. Do not let anyone or anything stand in your way. For now, remove the barriers. Open your heart and mind to Christ alone. The path is already paved for you. You just have to find it.
