  • Your part of the story (Act IV) remains unwritten.
Jesus has bridged the unbridgeable gap between God and humanity. We can believe that and remain unchanged. But if we are willing to respond, we can write the final act of the story. We can place ourselves under the Lordship of Christ and live an entirely new life.

Just leaving this here: Our priest has cancer and tomorrow he starts treatment. If it's okay, I'd like to request prayers for him to make a full recovery. He's in dire need of a Christmas miracle. Thank you.

Whenever I hear Fr. Mike talk about his family, I wish I had a more steady family setup. I am a single woman and I just have my mom and brother, who are both very angry, mentally ill people. I realize that my response to Father is just a variant of self-pity and that I need to put my focus on how I can love and support others rather than collecting love and support, but I wrestle with profound loneliness and occasionally bitterness. The tales of the lake house make me cry. Please pray for me to be stronger and find a way to commit to serving the Lord without waiting for social support or a loving environment. I do attend Mass a few times a week and the Eucharist is sustaining, but I still struggle. Thank you, friends. Praying for Fr. Mike and everyone here!

This was a very beautiful series. Thank you! This last homily reminds me of the end of the parable of the prodigal son. You don't actually know if the older son accepts the invitation to enter the Father's house again. We're supposed to finish that story ourselves with our own response to the Lord.

I wanted to give up! But God won’t allow me. People have put me down over my situation but God lifts me up! Please God give me strength. I have always kept faith and trust in you. Even as I constantly struggle to provide groceries and basic necessities for my children both of my sons are autistic and non verbal. Walking with faith is all we can do as christian’s. Like most single parents things are hard on me. I’m constantly struggling to pay bills. I’m overwhelmed and now that I’m home schooling my sons my hours to work are very limited. My health is also failing. I suffered a heart attack two years ago and battling lupus. Heavenly and merciful Father, I come in humble adoration please help me overcome my struggles and my constant fears.

Child of God, I am praying for you. I know it’s hard. I just watched one of your videos about when you had a heart attack and you seen the light of God on the throne. You just hang in there. Your right it’s all we have is our faith in God to keep us going. I’m struggling also. I am having some health issues, Idt anything major major but still affecting my life. I am sad and calling out to Jesus for strength. I went to church today , the pastors message was really good about when Jesus wept. He feels our pain. I hope He comes soon. Please pray for me. I will pray for you. Our souls are connected all to God.

I checked “Like,” but I hate what you’re going through. Though often in darkness and loneliness, I keep trusting and believing while asking God to help my lack of all values. I certainly will pray for you & even if I knew you personally, I could only provide prayers for you and let you know you are not alone. I keep going because I know Jesus, our King, is serving us, unlike most kings here who wouldn’t do. I pray to keep this Faith no matter how I feel. For me, feelings can lead me the wrong way. I so hope and pray Jesus, our Father, and the Holy Spirit, gives you relief in body and soul, like Now! Well God knows I’m thinking “Now” so I tell you. Prayers for you and your children.

Peace be. May I use this path to express the need for us Americans (north to (central) south + east to (Atlantic sea - Caribbean sea land) west) to be knowledgeable of the division of Jesus Christ already existing geographically for us so that our heart be not troubled when those migrants from the East- Africa, Asia, Europe, Antarctica comes to as they did to Jesus in Mathew 19:1-12, with trickery because they chose not to understand The Father, choose not to understand the son and still to date choose not to understand the Holy Spirit; hence, they prowl around the Americas trying the same mind game as the serpent upon Eve and then to Adam - disobedience. Let us pray for all people of the Americas to count our blessings one day at a time as the prowlers prowl to loose their prowling and gain their feet to see, hear, walk in the earth of the Americas with The Word of Jesus Christ for The Father with The Holy Spirit back east where they will spread not COVID -19 or it's likes but Commandments -10/2 and it's like Commandment - 1 throughout the land North, South, East, West and NNW, SSW, etc. Amen.

The Rescue Project - ❤Jesus volunteers to be sent by The Father to rescue us by humbling himself to become born of a woman, sleep in a feeding trough, and willingly allow himself to be put to death in the most barbaric way possible, in order to free all of us from the strongman who rules this world, and makes it possible for all of us to return home to the Father! What a great disguise it is to have You Jesus come to us in this way on Christmas Day! What can I do to thank You? Yes, I will tell as many people that I can that You love them and are waiting for them to just simply reach out to your always outstretched hand! Let me help them to KNOW You! Thank you also Lord for such great disciples that you have sent us - Fr Mike & Fr John! Holy Family of Nazareth protect them both from the evil one, and pray for us!

Yeah, we were captured all right. If you look at Genesis objectively you can see exactly when and how.
In the first creation story the earth was created and in the second creation story, if you line it up with the first like I said to do 7 months ago, you see that the garden was created. The Elohim captured humans and put them into the "paradise" of material wealth.
El used the Egyptian creation stories to form the heavens, the earth, the "word", and the stars that informed Gematria, astrology, magic, the power of the gods, etc.
It was CHRIST who overcame this capture, these false gods (i.e. Sin, Death, El, YAh-Weh, Hu, Ha, Asherah, etc (all still mentioned in the OT in the Hebrew, by the way)) and false idols (i.e. the Ashra trees, the golden calf, the rituals of exterbal cleanliness, etc).
At some point we are gonna have to come up with a way that no Christian ever finds himself ever calling El or Yah-weh "our god" again.
Maybe everyone should start studying Egyptian theology so that they can recognize the names when the see them when they are reading the Hebrew and other paleo-semetic to English lexicons. I'm just thinking this might be the only way to un-do the did, smh.

How is it perfectly acceptable? It is a sacrilegious, protestantized monstrosity. It was conceived in malice as a means of attacking and destroying the Church from its very core. I don't know how much more damage has to occur before everyone's eyes open to the fact that the N.O. is a cancer. Not only do you not agree with this, you think it's "perfectly acceptable." How can you sit through a N.O. Mass without writhing in discomfort?

Editor: can you please stop the constant zoom in and out. It's very distracting

    • @directinprint
      @directinprint 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Yes… the distance at 22 mins in, head & shoulders, is about right. In and out without change of angle is jarring.
This is not a dramatic scene, it’s a homily… it’s dialogical in nature, so the camera doesn’t need to go back and forth. That doesn’t happen when we listen to others… we may lean in, or away… and I think that’s the effect they are going for.
But sadly, this comment is correct. It’s a disturbing effect.
It’s hard to make critical comments about such a gift as a homily, but as Catholics we are always trying to learn and seek excellence. So I think the spirit of this comment is corrective and loving.
Note… Bishop Barron’s homilies often take different angles… the effect, since done with multiple cameras, is quite different.
The effect of multiple angles is different from single camera back up and pan back… it’s the effect of hearing the conversation from different perspectives, almost as different people. It gives you a multi view perspective and creates the congregation effect… as though you could see the speaker from many different places within a group of listeners. Note that the multiple angles are not highly differentiated by distance, only slightly.
If there is only one camera, going in and out doesn’t help. Yet, it’s a visual trope used by podcasters. Yes… but the good ones use it exceedingly sparingly, lest the audience notice and the effect takes you out of listening, rather than sort of perking you up.
So, if you are going to have “leaning in” segments, they must be rare… it’s a spice… don’t over season.
If you have but one camera, let the viewer get comfortable with the distance. Then, as the homily reaches the crux, or climax, you could get closer in, but stay a while. Going back and forth will only give the viewer a headache and distract. There are no action scenes here… it’s a man sharing theology…. Let the viewer listen in a relaxed and contemplative state.
      With love, Janice ❤
