      @@2119rocky Its great! Honestly super underrated. I recently sold mine, but only because the club standard is the S9, so I don't really find myself using/practicing with it anymore. But if you need a cheap mixer that feels premium, this is definitely the one. I would compare it to the Android vs Iphone debate. The Mixars has almost everything that the S9 has, but the S9 has the hype in the DJ world and no matter how much you vouch for the Mixars, folks will never budge.

      Glad I could help! The good thing about the 12's is that you can pair them with any mixer so you could get something like the Numark Scratch for $400 and they would still work! I totally agree with you, which is why I didn't get the 72.

      Gibrawn 👍🏾 I kinda got away from Serato for Rekordbox since I stoped Being mobile & needed to get familiar with what’s in clubs. I’ll admit playing from a USB is a different feel than using a laptop but I love those big wheels🤓. I ordered a used setup today from GC. 2 Twelves & the Mixars Duo for @$1500. I wanted the XDJ-XZ but not ready to spend $2300. I’ll probably do an unboxing &setup vid when I get them. Thx again.

    Do the Twelves eliminate the fluttering BPM in the Serato DJ Pro software you get with using analogue Technics turntables & DVS control vinyl? If they do, does it even eliminate the fluttering BPM using a digital file ripped from vinyl?

    • @gibrawn6419
      @gibrawn6419  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 12's always have a consistent BPM so yes, there is never fluttering like with regular turntables. However, if the file itself flutters - the 12's will not fix that because they don't have built-in BPM detection software. The only way that would be possible is if Serato had a BPM Sync Lock feature similar to the one in Virtual DJ. Hope this helps!

    • @stevebennett7071
      @stevebennett7071 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gibrawn6419 Thanks....that's very helpful 👍Doesn't Serato have a Sync option though, as long as your files have Beatgrids?

    • @gibrawn6419
      @gibrawn6419  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevebennett7071 Yeah, Serato sync will match BPM's at first load - but it will not do it actively. If two tracks go out of sync for a moment, say due to fluttering, the only way they will sync again is if you press the sync button again. Whereas with other softwares like Virtual DJ, they have active sync so that the two tracks always stay in sync regardless of random flutters. Basically you'll have to manually adjust the platter or press sync again to lineup your tracks if they flutter.

    • @gibrawn6419
      @gibrawn6419  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Yes, you can control both decks with one twelve, but you would need to be constantly switching buttons between deck 1 and deck 2. You can also use instant doubles and only use one turntable. I do this sometimes if I don't want to bring both turntables with me to a gig. Also, the 12's only work on Internal mode. They do not work on Absolute or Relative mode.

    • @gibrawn6419
      @gibrawn6419  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope! They're plug and play with Serato. So fresh out the box just plug them in to your laptop, change the decks to internal mode in Serato, click the deck button on the 12's, and you're good to go!

    • @gibrawn6419
      @gibrawn6419  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The short answer, yes. I switch off all the time at the club where I DJ when I bring guests. But the process is different depending on your mixer. For the 72, it's an easy turn of the knob from Channel A to B. On the mixars duo you would only be able to switch off if you ignore the USB ports in the back and connect like the S9 with a USB hub. For this type of connection (S9 or Mixars with a hub) you would need to have an extra USB hub for the other computer, and unplug one 12 at a time from one USB hub to the other. It's honestly super annoying because you have to unplug and replug mid-set. Once you disconnect one 12, you plug it into the other hub and from there you can switch to channel B. Once you transition, you go ahead and unplug the other 12 from the old hub and plug it into the new hub on the other computer. I'll most likely end up making a video showing how to do this.

    • @gibrawn6419
      @gibrawn6419  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Thanks for your comment - I'll try to answer as best as I can. 1.) Yes, you can hypothetically plug in a controller + the 12's and use the crossfader from the controller instead of a mixer like the 72 or S9. Its not an ideal setup, but it gets the job done while you can afford a mixer. I was on the same boat and that's why I bought the Mixars Duo for $600 because its a great mixer that's half the price of the competition. 2.) These work fine when using features like TR-Sync or Ableton Link, you should have no issue there. 3.) I'm not sure I understand your last questions, but you can use any USB hub, doesn't have to be Rane brand. Also the pitch is adjusted on the 12's just like it is on any other turntable. Let me know if you have any more questions!
