- What happened with the Esso Ultraflo Supra in the Gran Turismo series? One of six JGTC Supras that appeared in Gran Turismo 4. Well, that's what I want to talk about.
It's been a while since I done a GT analysis video, mainly because of laziness. However, this was one I wanted to do as seldom Gran Turismo fans have talked about this car. So, I wanted to bring it to light. Plus, I figured if the previous 2 videos got popular for their time, then this one would aswell.

Notes:
- I haven't shown much used car footage of GT5 as I felt it was unecessary. I focused on GT6 more for showcasing the sponsored cars. Mainly because GT6 contains its full car list in the dealership aside from some GT Academy cars, thus people can look at it anytime they want.

As a Canadian, I've always found the whole Exxon licensing issue amusing and annoying at the same time, considering we actually have Esso stations in Canada, not Exxon stations.
In other words, Exxon and PD basically forgot that Canada exists (no surprise there)

and I made a mistake on my video, I thought Exxon was all of North America, but it's not. Whoops.

Yeah I’ve always noticed this. Esso is in fact in Canada as well. Same with the NTSC version of GT2 not having KM/H as a unit only MPH. Not that I mind as I prefer miles per hour
On a bit of a side note regarding Esso, the 2016 Raybrig NSX-GT has that decal on where the engine cover would be.
7:30 the "zoom" you're referring to is simply the garage menu being rendered in 4:3 whereas the american version is at 16:9, so the car is wider and therefore looks more zoomed in.
Oh, you're right. I just checked that, I forgot to adjust the settings when recording the japan footage, my mistake.
The Peugeot 905B was also rebranded for NA release.
It's a shame for the Esso Supra because that was my favorite one of the JGTC Supras.

I remember that the European version of GT5 featured both Exxon- and Esso-liveries on their respective cars. Which is odd again, since there's only Esso-branded petrol stations in Europe. The Exxon-brand is virtually nonexistent in European minds.
Different story: GT5 also featured both versions of the Oreca-Viper GTS. One was branded as Dodge, the other as Chrysler. I'm not sure if this would be worth a video, but I think localised advertisement in video games is an interesting thing.

Ho everyone. Infact the supra Esso ultraflo appears in the video game called enthusia professional racing for ps2

I'm not sure if you're joking, but that's the actual sponsor for the car (Exxon's Esso).
Edit: BTW, one of the drivers of the 2001 car (Juichi Wakisaka) would go on to win the driver's championship the following year in the same Esso-sponsored car. So calling the name "stupid" is actually stupid.
