Tucking cable across the A pillar will have the cable going directly across the front airbag curtain. Best practice would probably be to root wire behind airbag. Not in front as shown. Will require removal of A pillar plastic cover but that is easy to do 🙂

How is there no rear dashcam that has bluetooth or something that wirelessly connects to the front?
As @actionjp8735 says before, this is quite an unsafe installation. Putting the rear camera wire where you have will affect the deployment of the curtain airbag, and may result in extra injuries caused by the flying cable in a deployment accident. To do it safely you must remove the A-Pillar trim and run the wire over the top and BEHIND the airbag. It takes more work but will not affect airbag deployment.

No doubt this was my first choice for the amazing OEM concept. But how well could this actually capture number plates.
From the video link shared to someone on this comment section actually shows it doesn't do that well at all.

This reply might be to late I have a 2019 RAV4 Limited I have the digital rear view mirror too I don’t think you can sync the D-mirror due to that camera only provides video feedback it does not record.

The red wire is supposed to be connected to the positive connection of the rear backup light. But it may be different in the camera
me thinks this red wire is the one you want to take to a known constant live wire like maybe a dome light.

Hi, the cable for the rear camera needs to go through the A-pillar.
It will not have parking video feature for this type of installation. To have parking video function, the system must be connected to fuse box with three wires: “ACC wire: power on fuse then car is on - not start or start”, “BAT wire: power always on fuse even car is off” and ground wire. Require a fuse wiring connection kit.
Yes, Parking Mode requires connection to the fuse box for power.

2023 Rav4 Prime XSE w/Premium Package. How do you remove the small back cover once it is snapped into place? It's easy enough to unsnap it from the inside by pressing the small tabs in but once it's mounted and everything is snapped into place there doesn't seem to be a way to take off that small back cover.
If there's ever a problem with the camera and I need to remove it, the only way I can see is to pull that cover hard enough that it breaks. There has to be a better way. I don't want to install it if it can't be removed without breaking it.
