I love this song from Simply Red. The voice and harmonization is fantastic. It is so laid back; but it's so emotional and gets it's point across! Today's music doesn't even compare!
Great video as always, Sarah. Hey, my older brother Bill, who is recovering from surgery, wanted me to ask you if you could do a reaction video to CYCLES by Frank Sinatra? And not to get greedy, but I would love to see your reaction to MacARTHUR PARK by Richard Harris, or anything composed by the great Jimmy Webb (WICHITA LINEMAN, BY THE TIME I GET TO PHOENIX, Webb was a master songwriter who was still in high school when he sold songs to SInatra!).
Im 35 years old. I first this song when i was in El Salvador my home country as a kid i was no more than 10. We spoke only spanish it felt nice his voice... Years later here in the US and learning english and understanding what he said. Lord i do hold back the years cause i remember everything from that time.
I’m a 28 year old father of three and my five year old daughter sings this song every time I turn it on. I wish more music like this existed these days. Great reaction! 💯
Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of the scene from Christmas Vacation where Clark is watching old videos of people playing in the snow while he’s sitting in the attic and there’s beautiful music in the background. It’s not the same song, but it has a similar vibe.😅
It was a beautiful experience watching you feel the sounds of Simply Red deep in your soul. You have a great channel! ✌🏽 PS - I'd love to see you do a video on Prince's live cover of "Motherless Child" .... that song always effects me deeply and watching him perform it is so spiritual and soulful.
One of the greatest songs ever written and recorded off that album. Check another great song often never talked about called, " Love Lays Its Tune " off the A New Flame album released in 1989, it won't disappoint.
It resonate with life both things you would change if you could and accepting it wasn't to be once you accept the world isn't a fairy tale belief in oneself and a core of special people healing comes and a Star illuminate
For context, in recent decades this singer has not been exactly favoured for his choices, but in his youth I feel he had much better judgement and feeling - as I have long believed we all do. The overlay of society is totally damaging. It remains powerful on that basis.
I enjoy your channel, in part, because of the excellent content your viewers recommend. But more importantly, your genuine, heartfelt reactions to every video makes it real which enhances your viewers enjoyment while watching. I saw you review a couple Tim Conway comedy sketches. He's very funny, as you well know based on your reaction to his videos. I would like to recommend another terrific comedy theme video. It is titled Bob Newhart NAILED it! Hear his Amazing Take on Modern Day Psychotherapy. The video is introduced by Trish Regan, popular journalist who formerly worked at Fox Business Channel. I apologize for being long winded but I'm confident you would find this video well worth watching, likely more than once. You have a very popular channel with delightfully authentic reactions. Please keep them coming.
There are a few artists out there that do still do this, but songs about serious intro-spection, inner-reflection and creating time for self re-evaluation are not really something you expect to hear on the radio anymore unfortunately. Even in '85 this was becoming a more rare bird on radio as compared to more of the civil rights inspired folk era of the 60s and 70s, although those were mostly a call for change, rather than a true genuine reflection on one's own life.

Such a lovely soul Sarah x
Fabulous song!!😊
Great song! Had to laugh at the subtitles. It's not peta and meta, but pater and mater. Pater/mater means father and mother respectively.
Released in 1985. Written by Mick, song is about his feelings of his mother leaving the family when he was but three years of age.
my cousin was in school with him and his friends,,one friend said he never got the credit he was dew for this song
'Due' not 'dew'!
brilliant Sarah thanks mate
This artist has MANY great songs,, Jamiroquai "Talullah" (Official Music Video)
I love this song. On a side note you are so beautiful!!!! Keep it coming luv
So luv this song!!!
Hi Ms. Sarah, Also the story how he could never live up to his Father's expectations.. ♠Mr.G..
It was a beautiful experience watching you feel the sounds of Simply Red deep in your soul.
You have a great channel! ✌🏽

Amazing vocal! Chills
He wrote this as a teenager! That kind of gives it a focus. His dad was overbearing and his mum wasn't there . . .
Or he was in a toxic relationship 🤔

Reppin Dallas, awesome
Mick is an amazing talent, what an incredibly beautiful voice. Still one of my favorites , thanks for sharing this with us.
It resonate with life both things you would change if you could and accepting it wasn't to be once you accept the world isn't a fairy tale belief in oneself and a core of special people healing comes and a Star illuminate
Hard to believe it's just a two chord song, dm9 and g9.
Hi Sarah, first I'm a Packer fan so I'll forgive you for wearing a Dallas shirt😁but Mick Hucknall is a good singer
Packer Fan here also 👍
My 2 suggestions: Sunrise, and Thrill me (live)
That wasn't a saxophone. It was a muted trumpet. I enjoyed your reaction.
Mick was just 17 when he wrote this. And the name "Simply Red" comes from being a devoted fan of Manchester United.
That is the ocean with sea birds in the beginning.
my cousin was in school with him and his friends,,one friend said he never got the credit he was dew for this song
By the way, at 1:04 the subtitles need amending. The words are 'pater' (Latin for father) and 'mater' (Latin for mother).
Exactly. Hence the terms Paternal and Maternal.
@@nubbypk Latin - still explaining words after 2000 years.
