Looking at everyone's insanely stunning portfolios really makes me feel like I shouldn't even continue with my design degree, I'm not as creative or talented as I thought lol. Great video though, and now I have more designers to look up to!

I get that, when i was in school I would get demotivated sometimes seeing all the better designers. I would try not to let it discourage you though and instead inspire you. We all started somewhere and are all on different paths!

Remember not to compare your journey to someone's many year long journey 💗 consistency and pacing yourself will get you farther than trying to do it all at once

I understand thia feeling as i feel this way a lot myself, but i try to remind myself of all the people who have told me how much they like what i do and then i remember even the best of the best probably feel like it from time to time

10:47 i'm a visual communication design student from finland and most of the students in my major have a style similar to this! i have no idea where that comes from tho, i think the design communities where students like to take part of have a kind of "underground" vibe to them?

99% of the portfolios are more of and art than useful portfolios to get job. I made same mistake of having art like portfolio and I had to rebrand and create new one. When you are creating portfolio you need to already have in mind what do you want to achieve with that portfolio. Either you want to please art profesors or get a job there is nothing in between.
