Hello, thank you. I have a gib key stuck on a combine shaft. Your spud wrench idea is awesome my drift key keeps jumping out.I am going out right now with the spanner.
Hi mate, just saying great video, explained a lot. Just asking, is there anyway I could use the spanner to clamp down a prong of a bearing puller and then use the bearing puller to take out gib key? Just a question. It’s on a 1951 Petter A1 3hp 1500rpm 👍
As says we took it off for the purpose of it being an educational video not because we really needed to remove it, everything you need to know about removing the key in the video

Locking the drift with an adjustable spanner has been a lifesaver. I can now sort out the bearings on a cement mixer. Thanks!

brilliant video and well explained, cheers mate.
Could you do a video on how to file and fit a new gib key?
robotstar5 will certainly try to
Yes Love it !
What about some heat ? Tried it, will not budge but the drift key keeps popping out
@@alaincote6684 not sure heat would be my go to option especially on a combine with all that dust and everything, just keep the lubrication on there
What a load of rubbish. He show the removal of the gib key.
After removing flywheel and before making the vidio
